Entering the room, there was kind of bad smell which was gone after opening the window.
Unclean blanket cover and sticky flooring were also other concerns.

The hotel is a little far from the station, about a 15-minute walk away. The building and facilities are a little dated, but it's clean, and I get the impression that the service and management are solid (I saw a morning meeting in front of the front desk). I like everything about it: the soft drinks and coffee available in front of the front desk, the welcome drinks, the manga corner, the varied breakfast (the dining room was decorated with flowers and Hina dolls, a small thing that shows the hotel's commitment to making guests feel comfortable), the three small dessert options, the greenery surrounding the cultural center, and the front desk service. I was impressed to see the dining room staff repeatedly checking the deli food on the breakfast table and rearranging the servings. The dining room has a tatami-floored area, which I think is convenient for families with children. I plan to use it again in the future.

The room comes with a microwave, refrigerator, mini-kitchen, and washing machine, so it seems convenient for long-term stays.
However, the moment I entered the room, I was hit by an old-man smell...
There was hair falling out, and even the futon smelled like old men.
The large public bath is also shared between men and women on alternate days, so on men's day, women can only use the unit bath in their room.

The hotel is quite old, but both the room and the unit bath were clean.
The large public bath is divided into men's and women's baths depending on the time of day.
The front desk is on the second floor, and there are only stairs to get there.
It was a pain for me with sore feet, but
the staff were very helpful and I think they helped ease my pain.
Unfortunately, I missed breakfast because I had to leave early, but I'll try again next time.
In the evening, I went out to eat and drink, but there were only a few restaurants, and since there were many people staying for an event and eating and drinking, it was almost full and it was difficult to find a place to sit.

Although the building is old, the guest rooms and breakfast restaurant were kept clean, and I had a comfortable and safe stay.
The staff were also kind, generous, and very likable. I was impressed with the free drinks and the attentive service.
I also liked the large public bath. The water temperature in the tub for soaking after the sauna was not too cold, which I felt was an excellent consideration.
The guest rooms also had hardwood floors, which were cleaner and less stained than carpet.
If I need to visit Oarai or Hitachinaka, I'd love to visit again.

The only room available was a smoking room, so I applied for one. I had requested smoking disposal, but as soon as I opened the door, the smell of cigarettes hit me hard. I managed to get rid of it by spraying deodorizing spray on the walls, curtains, carpet, and the whole room.
The room was on the 8th floor, so it was nice to be able to see the fireworks over Lake Senba from my room.

The hotel's location is easy to get to, and parking is also close to the hotel.
The only downside is the room; the room smells less than fresh. I booked a non-smoking room, but the room smelled a bit musty and cigarette.
The breakfast was very good, complete, and delicious. The public bath (onsen) was also very nice.

This is a typical business hotel.
The bathtubs in the rooms are old, but there is a large public bath on the 8th floor where you can enjoy a long soak.
A welcome drink is provided, and alcohol is available.
There is also a drugstore nearby where you can do some shopping.
