Itoen Hotel Shiobara in Nasushiobara

Shiobara is truly beautiful in autumn

There was an alcohol buffet at dinner, and we enjoyed draft beer and local sake. I unexpectedly got to know some of Tochigi's finest sake.

I can't say this is true for all employees, but most of them work hard and are always smiling and making the place very comfortable.

[Access] 1. Take a local bus from JR Nishinasuno Station for about 45 minutes, get off at the last stop, Shiobara Onsen Bus Terminal, then walk for about 10 minutes. 2. Take the express train from Tobu Asakusa Station for about 2 hours and 50 minutes, get off at "Kamimiyori Shiobara Onsenguchi", transfer to a local bus heading for Shiobara Onsen, and tell the driver the name of the hotel, it will take about 15 minutes. This large, budget hot spring hotel is located slightly west of the center of Shiobara Onsen, and you can stay for less than 10,000 yen for one night and two meals on weekdays. I stayed in a twin room on the third floor, which was spacious enough for one person, and you have to pick up amenities such as toothbrushes by yourself from the front desk when you check in. The buffet-style restaurant is on the second floor, and there is a time limit of 90 minutes for dinner and 50 minutes for breakfast. The content is on par with that of a business hotel, but the Japanese food is substantial, and it is sufficient considering the price of the accommodation. The open-air bath and large public bath are on the second floor, and both are spacious enough. Although the indoor bath was a little on the warm side, the open-air bath was just the right temperature, and as it was April and the cherry blossoms were still in bloom, it was nice to be able to enjoy a leisurely cherry blossom bath.

This is my second stay. Unusually for Itoen Hotel, the customer service is polite and you can have a pleasant stay. Our room was a triple room, but the moment we entered the room, there was a musty smell, and the bathroom smelled like urine...The large communal bath, both indoor and outdoor, is spacious and comfortable. We were able to enjoy our meals both in the morning and in the evening without any crowds. Best of all, the meal time, which was 70 minutes due to the coronavirus pandemic, has returned to 90 minutes, so I can eat more slowly. I would like to stay again next time, but I would like to request that you avoid the room number this time.

This place is cheap , and I love the drink all you can alcohol.

Good families hotel, good hot spring. Food was great! Relaxing experience. If you go by bus and wanna tour around town. They have bike for rent and it is free. recommended.
