Reviews
Front desk staff is very helpful and good manner.
This hotel is a little bit historical buildings but everything is ok and clean.
There're many extra facilities, such as karaoke rooms, table tennis and children's play room.
The restaurant area is very big enough for more than 100 people. Various choice of foods. Free soft drink, beer, and alcohol drink.
You should check carefully when making a reservation.
We wanted to go to the Kamakura Festival at Yunishigawa Onsen, but it overlapped with mealtime, so we watched the festival in the daytime and then headed back to the hotel.
The Ichiryukakaku Main Building is just so luxurious.
When my wife and I were younger, the Ichiryukakaku Main Building was synonymous with the highest quality hotels.
I headed to the reception with excitement...
The staff were very friendly, and I was impressed by the spaciousness of the lobby!
Everything is huge and luxurious!
Our room was on the first floor of Yanagi-no-Yakata, but it was comfortable and not as bad as the reviews said.
The room was incredibly warm, and I didn't catch a cold and had a great night's sleep.
The meal was a buffet, which is Itoen Hotels' trademark, so I won't criticize it at this point, but I'd say it was neither good nor bad.
However, the indoor bath is probably one of the largest of all Itoen Hotels.
The spacious bathroom and the view from the top floor.
The open-air bath on the fifth floor was also incredibly relaxing! ️
In any case, I think the selling point of Ichiryukaku Main Building is that all of its attractions are spacious and have a sense of openness.
Although it's in a remote location with nothing nearby, I think it's the perfect hotel for those seeking peace and tranquility.
Next time, I'd like to come with a large group.
Environment: Very nice.
Service: First-class.
Amenities: All the necessary amenities.
Dinner and breakfast are buffets, as are drinks and alcohol, which I found delicious. The hot springs are also good.
Reservations can be difficult to secure as availability is first-come, first-served, but guests can enjoy karaoke rooms and private family baths free of charge. Both dinner and breakfast are served buffet-style, and the dinner includes unlimited local sake and beer as part of the accommodation fee.
However, please note that the staff and signage are mostly not English-friendly, so a smartphone or translation device is essential. Because of the budget-friendly nature of the inn, services such as having your luggage carried to your room are not provided, and some compromises may be needed.
In that sense, it might be better suited for seasoned travelers. But if you're willing to approach it as an adventure into a traditional Japanese ryokan, you'll likely discover many delightful surprises along the way!
I went by train, but they came to pick me up at the nearest Kawaji Yumoto Station. They also dropped me off at the same time as the train departed. The welcome drink (9:00-17:00) was delicious, and I could enjoy the beautiful view of the Oga River from the sofa in the lobby while drinking it.
There are large baths on the 11th and 12th floors, and an open-air bath on the 5th floor, which was almost reserved at the time. There are lukewarm and slightly hot baths, so I think it's good to start with the lukewarm one, and there seem to be other private baths as well.
Breakfast and dinner were buffets with all-you-can-drink alcohol, and at this time I had a yellowtail sashimi boat platter and a sushi fair, which were delicious.
However, the front desk's service was poor, especially the language was too bad, and I wish they would properly educate older men about what the service industry is.
Next month I'll be staying at the nearby Livemac... This will be my first time staying there, so I'd like to compare it.
