Hotel New Gaea Nishi Kumamoto Ekimae, Kumamoto1 / 24

Kumamoto, 1-1-75 Karikusa (6 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is located very close to near to the train station with AEON Mall just across the road. The hotel also provides sufficient parking space for guests.  We appreciated the hospitality and professional services provided by the hotel staff.  For the American breakfast, it’s yummy with various drinks.  The hotel also provides free welcome drinks starting at 1600 hrs for guests.  In terms of cost...
Free complimentary alcohol and soft drinks at the lobby, room is good.
The room was very clean, and the location was excellent for getting around. It's my top choice for business trips, and I'll definitely stay here again in the future. It's a great hotel at a reasonable price!
The location is super convenient, and the staff are really friendly. There's a communal hot spring bath on the second floor, and the first-floor restaurant area offers complimentary drinks for guests. Right across the street, there's a large shopping mall that's great for browsing and buying. Plus, there's a fantastic and affordable Indian restaurant nearby!
Although they have a private carpark by side of the hotel, there was a parking fee charge of 2,000yen. But you're guaranteed a parking spot if you come back later at night. There are more parking lots in the multi storey carpark by side of the hotel. The hotel is very clean and I think it's relatively new. The front desk reception was very friendly n helpful. They also have a guest lounge on the...
Be sure to avoid this hotel... The air conditioner blows towards your head and cannot be adjusted. And they don't provide mineral water, razors, etc. The quilt cover is not changed... I slept on the other side and still had a headache the next day. There is only one small elevator in the whole building...very slow. But it is very close to the JR station.

It was a great place to stay because it had easy access to the downtown area and plenty of parking nearby. There are also lots of restaurants, so you won't have to worry about finding something to eat at night.
The buffet breakfast was delicious. The amenities were plentiful and the location was convenient. I would definitely stay here again.
The hotel is nice. Not far from the shopping street, not far from public transportation. There are enough aminities for traveller.the staffs were very helpful and welcome. The room are very clean. If you have limited budget I recommend.
It was conveniently located near the city center!
The elevator had a strong cigarette smell, and the bed was quite firm. Breakfast was a very simple Japanese meal, and at 1,300 yen per meal, it felt overpriced; I would have preferred a meal from a convenience store instead. On the positive side, I appreciated being able to pick up drip coffee from the front desk to enjoy in my room. The front desk staff were also very helpful and responsive. The...
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was also spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Its proximity to Kumamoto Castle and other local attractions was a huge plus.

I stayed in a Japanese-Western style room in the main building for two nights and one night, with two meals included. The front desk was spacious, quiet, and had a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were courteous and helpful. There were two elevators, which I think was sufficient given the number of rooms, but they rarely arrived, suggesting they were older. The room was generally clean. The bath, toilet...
Hei Kumamoto luxury room is worth recommending👍
The hotel has two buildings. The Japanese-style rooms with tatami mats are in the annex, but they are connected by an indoor corridor. The dinner set menu is enough to fill you up, and there are also a variety of dishes. The breakfast is ordinary, but you can still eat healthy prototype food
Spacious and traditional hotel.
The hotel had a great atmosphere and was very nice. The breakfast menu was the same for two days, which was a bit disappointing, and the convenience store closed early, which was a bit inconvenient.
Quite cozy hotel, I booked the Japanese room and it was very warm and comfortable. The only downside is they don’t allow tattoos in the onsen, even if you are a foreigner, hope this prejudice in Japan will vanish soon.

All review for this hotel was "EXCELLENT😁"
This is really affordable place to stay in Kumamoto. You got everything you need here. I'll definitely come back here when I visit Kumamoto again. Highly recommended.
The room was nice, but the soundproofing was a little poor. I could hear the snoring from the neighbor next door. The Wi-Fi signal was also a bit slow.
The breakfast is delicious but it's a shame the menu doesn't change.
The water in the kettle had to be drawn from the tap in the room, which I didn't like. It would be better if they provided water in bottles. I also felt there weren't many electrical outlets. As I was staying without meals, the price was cheap, which was a relief.
Breakfast is served until 9:00, but when I asked for it after 8:35, they gladly accommodated. It was delicious.

The lack of a regular desk and the presence of a bathroom in the room is quite unique. I didn't mind it much this time since I didn't spend much time in the room, but it might be a little inconvenient for someone who wants to do some work. The front desk area had a nice atmosphere with lots of books. It's a shame I didn't have more time to look around.
I would love to stay here again!

It's conveniently located in Kumamoto city. The building itself is clean, but the rooms feel old. However, the price is reasonable, so overall it's a plus.
Great, there are tons of parking lots near the restaurant.
It was a very convenient location, with easy access to Shimodori and Kamidori streets, and within walking distance of Kumamoto Castle. I think a shower room would be more convenient than a unit bath. Other than that, I was very satisfied.
close to JR and the sightseeing with walking distance, a little distance to shopping area, but the hotel is neat and nice
There is a parking lot next to the hotel, and the parking fee is not expensive, which is really great!
After finishing the 30k trail run in Kumamoto, I searched for a 2-person twin room to stay in that day and made a reservation. The search results showed a 2-person twin room, and my name was automatically displayed as the reservation holder, so I proceeded with payment, but without knowing it, it changed to a 1-person reservation voucher. Next to the castle. Walking distance to shopping area. Food not bad in their restaurant.
Great location near Kumamoto Castle, walking distance to main shopping areas. Loved the view of the castle from our room especially when it was lighted up at night.
The room was a bit small, but that's common in Japan. It was very clean, and there were self-service currency exchange and vending machines in the hallway. Breakfast was quite good, and most of the guests were tourists. The location is right across from Kumamoto Castle, making it very convenient for visiting the castle, though it's a bit of a distance from the main shopping streets. The male receptionists...
The room is spacious with two beds and a great view. Great amenities, I especially like the instant noodles machine and the massage chair! The coffees machine has got a tea capsule which is really refreshing and nice. It is a short walk to the city centre but very close to the shrine. Remember to book for 2 persons, as I only booked for 1 and pay for another at the reception, the staffs are very nice...
The view (when you buy a castle view room) is great. The service in English is good.
Delicious breakfast buffet. HOWEVER, I don't know why I need to pay CARPARK FEE for staying in the hotel? Should it be FREE as a service for hotel guests.

Although there are some shady streets, you can easily get there from the main roads, so I think the location is good. There is a shopping street within walking distance, and a convenience store nearby.
The reception staff was very friendly. In terms of facilities, I would like a side table and a power outlet for my mobile phone nearby.
The room itself was clean, but the dryness made my throat hurt💦 It's close to the downtown area, so the location is great!
The hotel is relatively old and the price is cheap, incomparable with the newly opened ones.
The staff was very nice. It was clean place but very old. The bed was horrible, you could feel all of the springs inside. Breakfast was a “bento” with rice and oily food. It was terrible.

I searched for a single room on Trip.com and booked, but it kept showing as a double. Unfortunately, the staff were very helpful. I've stayed at this hot spring hotel a few times and I really like it. It's conveniently located and inexpensive. It's a very traditional hot spring hotel with access control; you have to return the key when you leave!
Very nice hotel near Kumamoto’s castle. The rooms are quite small but clean and quiet
I went with my mom. The location was perfect, and the accommodation had a unique atmosphere. The room was larger than most hotels, and there was a table in the room, so we could comfortably enjoy beer and other snacks. We used the large public bath, and the water was wonderful. After a long walk, soaking in the warm water made me feel much less tired the next day. The breakfast was also very satisfying
It’s more for japanese travelers since I’m not sure if stuff knows English (we communicated in japanese). Interior feels old, and the big bath is nothing fancy, but hospitality is superb! Great breakfast.
The hotel has a vintage feel and a very retro decor, but the hygiene is terrible. The pillows and comforters were yellowed and stained, and there was a musty smell in the room. Aside from the location, everything else is awful. Choose carefully.

The location was superb, within only 10 mins’ walk from major shopping facilities. There are also a multitude of quaint cafes and boutiques in the vicinity of the hotel, all of which deserve a visit. I really appreciate the hospitality and amiability of the staff here, who recommended a ton of good places that locals would go to. Thanks!
I use it all the time. Everything is great
Walking distance to tram station and walking street Coffee machine 24hrs👍🏼
The hotel is located near Kumamoto Castle. Although you live on the 5th floor of the hotel, you cannot directly see Kumamoto Castle (there are other buildings blocking it in front). There are many parking lots near the hotel, and car rentals are available. There is a shopping street next to the hotel, which is very convenient.
Even though it was an old hotel, the interior was very clean and I felt good. The front desk staff were polite and friendly. The parking lot was a little far away, which was inconvenient.
The room was spacious and clean, as was the bathroom and toilet!

Excellent and comfortable stay
A very good hotel. The staff were very welcoming. We drove here, but the overnight parking fee was supposed to be 700, but for some reason it was 1600 when we left at 8 am. We were in a hurry and didn't pay attention to it.
In terms of Ammenities there was nothing at all. The fitness center was for adult only
The room was spacious compared to other hotels in Japan, the staff was kind and helpful, very close to Luffy’s statue.
It seems to be mainly for business travelers. The basic facilities in the room are complete, but a bit old. The buffet breakfast is included, with basic food, not many types, and average quality. Parking is charged.

This is one of the best hotel I have lived in Japan, the service is amazing and the room setting are great!!! Very nice and tidy room with a public Onsen on 2/F and free parking, this is one of the best in Kumamoto.
Our experience with this was great. Rooms were nice and spacious and love that there was a tub (even included bath salts for us 😊) Might need to take note of the stairs on the way up, but thankfully just 1 flight.
The spa and sauna in the hotel... they're the best. The room was also very clean, which was exactly the kind of cozy accommodation I wanted.
It is a great location for a walk around Suizenji Park. It is also good for taking the tram to Sakura-machi. The large bath is a premium concept, but there is a separate fee. Breakfast is self-service in your individual room.
There are many Japanese locals living here, the environment is beautiful, and the front desk staff is very friendly. There is free parking space. Although the breakfast has few choices, it has everything you need and tastes good. It was very lively during dinner time, with many Japanese people.
The service was average because we didn't understand Japanese and had some difficulty communicating. The location is good, about 15 minutes walk from the JR station. There is a convenience store opposite the hotel and a supermarket about three minutes' walk away where you can buy snacks and drinks. The hotel also provides "hot springs" which are charged in two time periods. Overall, there are still...

The hotel location is a bit outside of the city. But next to the road and has lots of parking. The staff take good care of the service. Cleanliness is adequate. Walk far from convenience store. As for the appliances in the hotel, they are as standard.
It's located along a main road and is easy to get to. The facilities in the building are minimal, but they are new and clean. It's also nice that there are several 7-Eleven stores nearby.
Great value! Room is not big but has everything you need. You may rent some items, e.g. humidifier or hangers, from the front desk. ¥200 for washing machine and ¥100 per 30 minutes for dryer. We stayed in the furthest room from the elevator and the WiFi kept disconnecting.

Nice place with self check-in and check-out. I also recommend visiting Suizenji Ezuko Park nearby in the evening
I was able to make a reservation despite having to extend my stay unexpectedly. It's usually fully booked, so I appreciate your hospitality again this time.
Satisfactory stay n expected due to price
Decent enough, but wish they were clearer about the deposit policy, as it caused some stress.
This was my first time staying here. The staff were very friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The bed had a memory foam mattress pad and memory foam pillow. I slept soundly. I'd like to stay here again if I have the opportunity.
I stayed here for my child's entrance exam preparation. I had something I wanted to confirm before my stay, so I called in advance. There is no parking space in the hotel but staff will park your car in the sister hotel just across the street for you so make sure you take everything you need from your car when you checkin . Service staff all very friendly and kind. Most speak a little English. Breakfast and Kaiseki dinner one of the best we have...
The room was very comfortable! The private hot spring was unique – you must try it sometime! Parking is free!
This boutique hotel offers excellent service, a generous breakfast, and rooms that are much more spacious than other hotels. The only downside is that there's only one room key, which you have to return every time you enter or leave.
The staffs are very helpful and polite. There is free drinks every night from 7pm to 9 pm. Including sake and wine which is rare. Free hot bath for family but must book . Basically this is a good hotel , worth for the money
The room was new and the service was good. You absolutely must try the complimentary 60-minute hot spring bath; although it's a large public bath, the environment is very comfortable. The location is a 3-minute walk from Suizen-ji Temple and about a 17-minute taxi ride from Kumamoto Castle. Breakfast and dinner were also delicious.
The hotel is located in a residential area, very quiet, the service is very thoughtful, and the breakfast is very rich.

Kumamoto, 2-7-10 Nihongi, Nishi Ward (5 km from centre) 🧭 Map
I stayed for two nights. It's about an eight-minute walk from Kumamoto Station, and since the plan didn't include meals, I thought the price was reasonable and good. However, the large public bath is not separated by gender, so women who want to use the bath have to contact the front desk. That was the only disappointing thing.
I used the hotel for work. There is a large public bath on the first floor. I didn't use it so I don't know how big it is. There is also a coin laundry. I think the prices are reasonable. It's very convenient as it's only a 10-minute walk from Kumamoto Station.
The reviews said she was kind and friendly, but she didn't greet me at all and just looked down when she realized a guest had arrived. I wonder if she was a part-timer who wasn't used to serving customers? She seemed more like a dorm mother than a hotel hostess. There was no explanation about the welcome drink. When I asked, she told me where it was. The hotel entrance is like a training camp, and...
Is this a relatively new hotel? It was clean. The twin room was spacious and the bathroom was clean. I wish there was an air purifier.
The center of Kumamoto City is around Kumamoto Castle, but there are not many hotels near JR Kumamoto Station. This is a business hotel located about a 10-minute walk from Kumamoto Station. The hotel is new and the rooms are spacious. There is a large public bath, which guests can use after 5 p.m. Also, coffee is provided free of charge in the dining room.
I shifted from the city area to a place near the Kumamoto station so i could travel to the outskirt of Kumamoto city. It takes me about 7mins to walk to the hotel from the station.
