Pai Base Resort in Miyako Island

I'm a little late in writing this review. I stayed for two nights from November 21st. The location, the rooms, everything was great. The owners were also very kind.

They came to pick me up even though I arrived much earlier than check-in time, and even waited for me even though my flight was quite delayed. We did a barbecue, and rental was only 1,000 yen. Why?! They also told me about supermarkets and markets where locals go, so we were able to get cheap ingredients and have a Miyako beef party. There was a really strong wind, so it was a lot of fun. I mostly just snorkeled, but on the second night we went out into town. Even though it's far away, if you drive there and use a shuttle service to get back, it only costs about 3,000 yen. This place has nature, beaches, and starry skies. For breakfast, I had fruit and yushi tofu that I bought at the supermarket.

I enjoyed two days and detoxed.

I'll also include some information that I think everyone will want.
The washing machine comes with detergent, so you can really only bring minimal clothes.
If you want to go to the supermarket, go to the one in town. If you're not good at cooking and want to buy something nearby, there are small shops there. Water and other things are really expensive, though. They leave plenty of towels so you don't need to bring any with you.
You can snorkel on the beach right in front. That's about it.

This cottage has a private beach in a very quiet area. It's right in front of the beach where sea turtles swim, making it a very pleasant place to bring children to play in the ocean. The kitchen is equipped with cooking utensils and basic seasonings like salt, pepper, and oil, so we grilled some vegetables and Miyako beef we'd bought and ate it at the table in the garden. We were able to spend a relaxing time with our family. I highly recommend it.

I generally agree with other visitors' reviews.
It's a great place to relax and unwind in the suburbs, overlooking the ocean. You'll experience a sense of tranquility you won't find in crowded hotels or resorts.
The square layout consists of four rooms. Rooms A and C face the ocean directly, while Rooms B and D face the side.
Rooms B and D also offer a bit of privacy, which was nice.
My wife recommends the laundry and drying facilities.
As you can see in the photo, there's a beach exclusively for guests, making it a great place to stay with family. After swimming, you can shower on the lawn.

The view from the window is amazing.
You can also rent a car for 1,000 yen a day, so I think it's a great deal.
We even rented a BBQ set and had a BBQ!
The female owner was very kind.

It was a building with a rather interesting design.
The location was fantastic, and it's understandable why private beach rental villas like this are rare and difficult to book.
The private beach isn't in a bay, so the waves tend to be high, but being able to enjoy snorkeling without having to move was fantastic.
The indirect lighting was stylish and nice, but it was too dark for eating; the dining area could use another light.
The combined bathroom and toilet were inconvenient. If they ever renovate, I think it would be great if they made it a separate shower room.
The condiments provided were simple: salt, sugar, oil, and soy sauce.
It was a fantastic rental villa that I would like to use again when I go to Miyako Island.
