Oita, 3-1-5, Miyako-machi (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The room wasn't very large, but it was no problem. The breakfast buffet was average.
I booked a high price because there were no rooms available, but when I got there, there were still rooms available and they were cheaper. It was absurd.
I understand that it was expensive because it was on the day, but it was cheaper than other sites.
clean But far away from the station
Although it is a hotel that has not been renovated for many years, it is very clean and you can't tell that it has not been renovated for a long time. The room is very clean, but the facilities are a little old and have a sense of age. The bed is very comfortable. The sound insulation is very good.
Hotel have smoke room bad smell if you don’t like cigarette you should change but staff very kind location hotel can walk from train station

Good view, good services. The room's balcony offered a beautiful full sea view, and the room itself was very spacious. However, breakfast was served in a separate building, which was a bit inconvenient, and the food selection was limited and unappetizing.
The hotel room was absolutely fantastic and very spacious. The design of the living room, bedroom, bathroom, and balcony was incredibly thoughtful. Soaking in the tub in the room, while looking out at the sea, was incredibly comfortable and truly therapeutic.
Excellent views excellent service in room Onsen bath both indoor and outdoor plus a very good breakfast buffet
While not cheap, the quality of the room, half-board dining, and hotel facilities met expectations for the price. The room was perfect, featuring a walk-in closet, a living room with sea views, a private hot spring bath, a Japanese-style room, and a bedroom. The dinner quality was excellent, and we were served by staff who spoke Chinese, so the meal explanations were very detailed. For breakfast, we...
Very nice stay, would be better if there are more in room dining amenities and cleaner sink, as well as reminder before arriving to book for restaurants with limited capacities.
Facilities are well maintained, vip lounge is spacious and well organised, room is spacious, clean and comfortable

suitable for family, as always, good dinner and breakfast, perfect view.
The staff are very friendly & helpful. The room is spacious & comfortable though a bit old. The sea view is excellent
I booked the full board package. Room has ample space and a wonderful view to the sea! Dinner set was delicious. A very relaxed environment, nice getaway vacation stay.
5 ⭐️ services, great room with private onsen and sea view, great breakfast. Will definitely book this hotel when coming back to Beppu.
Overall, the standard is incredibly high! It's perfect for a relaxing getaway. The public bath facing the sea 🌊 is an absolute must-try. You can give the Japanese set dinner a try; don't set your expectations for the taste too high, but the ambiance is quite nice.
The room was very spacious and clean, and the front desk staff helped carry our luggage to the room. They were also very clear and helpful with any questions we had. Breakfast was just okay, not particularly delicious, but not bad either – pretty uninspired. The only downside was the hotel's somewhat remote location. There's no shuttle bus to Beppu Station, so you have to take public transportation...

I've stayed here before, and it was very clean and the staff were very friendly, so I was very satisfied this time too.
It was close to the station and the room was quiet, so I was able to relax. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The chicken tempura and miso soup were especially tasty. Thank you very much. I would like to book again.
I went there for a motorcycle tour without making a reservation for a parking space, but the staff were polite and smiled, and the service was very pleasant. I will use the service again. Thank you very much.
The facilities are a little old, but they are functional and provide a comfortable stay. If only I didn't mind the loose wallpaper... That said, the staff were all friendly, well-trained, and very pleasant to deal with. I would definitely stay here again.
The facilities are old but clean, services are good and location is pretty convenient
It would have been nice if there were hair ties in the amenities. It's close to Oita Station and there's a convenience store right next door, so it was very nice. The cleanliness of the room was a little lacking, but I think it's a good hotel if you just want to stay!

This hotel has such a romantic, old-style charm. The bedroom was incredibly spacious—we even managed to have a family supper for 8 people comfortably inside! The onsen is also very nice and relaxing. A wonderful choice if you like a classic feel and plenty of room.
So nice,  quiet, clean room  and has a good service for the customers.
The food was good both in the evening and in the morning, but the bathroom, toilet and washbasin were all in one place and there was a step between the bathroom and the hallway, so there is room for improvement.
I don't like this hotel in Beppu. It's too old.
The neighborhood is quiet and suitable for a family of 4. Washing machine is free, but you need to buy detergent (it's good to prepare detergent) Rooms are spacious, but they are old. Open-air bath has a nice view Beppu Station shuttle is available for free, but the last stop is 5pm
I had a great time because of the clean interior and comfortable bathroom. The open-air bath was especially nice and it was a good place to stay. As for cleanliness, the foreign substances in the sink area were not cleaned well. Other than that, it was a really clean place to stay.

This was my first time staying here to attend a New Year's party, and the room was thoroughly cleaned and there was very little air conditioning smell. However, the vents under the windows hadn't been cleaned and were full of dust...but on the other hand, it's actually rare to find a place that clean. I was happy that there were a lot of electrical outlets. However, the lobby smelled of cigarettes...
The hot water in the shower didn't come out at night. It was restored at 11:30 PM and was announced over the in-house announcement. I was woken up by the announcement and couldn't sleep after that. The room was clean.
It's basically a business hotel that only accommodates singles. It's located behind the large music hall, iichiko Grand Theatre, so I stayed here when my favourite artist was there for a live performance. It's close to the city centre and the entertainment district (Miyakomachi), so I think it's easily accessible. It appears the owner has changed, and I found my stay more comfortable than last time...
I stayed alone for work. The hotel itself was old, but not dirty. I was only there for the night, so I didn't have any complaints. It seems they don't serve breakfast. There may have been one at the front desk, but there was no hair dryer. There was no refrigerator, and the amenities were not very well-equipped.

I go there a few times a year. The family bath is hot and narrow, and the toilet and shower in the room are always difficult to use. The foreigners speak broken Japanese, so it's hard to understand. Last time, the izakaya was staffed by foreigners, which was a challenge, but this time, it was staffed by Japanese people, which was nice. I wish they would change the mugs of draft beer for the all-you...
The room was OK, but I smelled cigarettes when I entered. Although it was a non-smoking room, it still smelled like cigarettes. Check-in was quick, and there was a hot spring that could be reserved. There was also a small balcony outside. The small room had everything you need. The toilet was very small, only big enough for one person to stand, and there was a smell from somewhere. The toilet was a...
The hotel is very close to the station, a 5-minute walk The hotel is a hot spring bath, so there are three types: large bath, parent-child bath and open-air bath. The hotel room is about the same size as in Japan, but has basic facilities. The hotel also operates an izakaya There is a large supermarket within a 3-minute walk of the hotel. There are also chain fast food restaurants
The front desk service is very polite and patient. You can make reservations for private outdoor hot springs and indoor hot springs. Each reservation is 1 hour. You can also go to the large bath to soak in the hot springs. There is parking space for free.
It's too old, but the price is extremely cheap and the transportation is convenient enough. Why do you need a bicycle?
The large public bath was nice.

Very good meal and nice onsen. We all have good stay in the hotel.
This place is between Beppu Ropeway and Hells of Beppu, so plan your route properly, if not you will end up going up and down the mountains numerous times. The hotel has a coin laundry, which is helpful for travellers who need frequent clothes washing. It might seem a bit pricey to include dinner, but please include it. It was a buffet feast with lots of selection, such as snow crab, Oita wagyu beef...
The hotel has a great location, right across from the landmark Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) attraction, and next to a large supermarket. We stayed in a one-night stay with two meals included, and the menu was extensive and delicious – definitely worth trying. The biggest downside of the hotel is the early check-in; we had to leave by 10:00 AM, which was very rushed! Also, the onsen (hot spring) was a bit...
Staff were nice, service was good. Buffer dinner was good. Unlimited supply was good quality beef steak
The room was spacious, and the mountain view was quite nice on a clear day. The drinks at the dinner buffet were very satisfying, the food selection was average, with snow crab available seasonally, although the steak was of slightly subpar quality.
The hot springs are comfortable and not crowded. The breakfast is unique and popular with locals. It's close to the bus stop and Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell).

The stay was great. Our only complaint was that the AC unit in our room broke the 2nd night which made it hard to sleep.
We were arriving late and leaving early so we opted out of dinner and breakfast, although they look amazing in the photos. The room and bathroom are a bit outdated but the room is a good size. Free sake is available in the lobby which is always a plus for me. The various public onsen pools looks inviting, but we didn't get to try them due to their "no tattoo" policies. Very friendly staff and many rooms with nice sea view. Free shuttle service to JR station.
Great location but breakfast spread was disappointing for S$25. Everything else was good at the hotel.

An excellent ratio quality price if you have to stay in the area. We stayed in a tatami room that was large and had all amenities. Easy access from local train station and good izakaya.
The breakfast was very delicious and varied for the price. The interior of the building had a warm, old-fashioned retro feel, and it seemed perfect for business use.
Quite ordinary. It's neither good nor bad.
My husband and I stayed here for 5 days while traveling to a small city in Japan. It was basically an old hotel, but they cleaned it well. The room was spacious, but the bathroom was too small, and the exterior of the building and the carpet inside seemed to need renovation. The staff were very friendly.
I am grateful that there are few large hotels in Bungoono City that can accommodate a large number of people. There is a large communal bath so you can relax. The bathtub in the room is small, so it's a little difficult to use.

We have a great time at this amazing ryokan. Their breakfast and dinner are delicious. We parked our car at the ryokan and it’s only walking distance to one of the sightseeing spot. We spent a long time looking for a traditional Ryokan in Japan, especially after having an unforgettable stay in Hakone 10 years ago. This time, we chose Beppu, known for its natural hot springs—and it was the perfect decision! This Ryokan gave us one of the best experiences of our lives. Everything exceeded our expectations. The staff were incredibly friendly and made our stay even more special....
Our best experience in Japan so far! Maybe it was expensive, but it was so worth it for the private onsen alone. There were inside and outside pools on our room's terrace. The atmosphere was so calming and relaxing. We had great, top-notch kaiseki dinner, which afterward we gone back to the onsen! All of their staff are so lovely and welcoming. When I booked, it only showed the room, not that it was in an annex building. We ended up being placed in the building next door, which had much simpler facilities and was significantly smaller. I'm not sure what the reasoning was. To take a bath, I had to carry a basket out and go to the main building. The slippers provided were also very slippery. The hotel room is a little small and bed is soft but overall still quite good for location and front desk service.
It's a bit of a walk from the station, and dragging luggage was a bit tough. A taxi costs around 850 yen. However, transportation in Miyazaki is quite inconvenient; you need to book a taxi in advance to get back to the station from the hotel, as it's hard to hail one from the street. Other than that, everything else was good, and breakfast was included.
Absolutely love the roof top pool and onsen at the next building. Love the view. Will stay again because of it. Near to station as well.
This hotel offers incredible value for money – it's so good, I almost want to keep it a secret! However, I've seen a negative review claiming someone couldn't get back into the hotel at night, and I want to clarify that. That person's review is completely baseless. No frill hotel but meet all your needs. The important thing is that it is close to the bus station that takes you everywhere.
The location is super convenient, just 200 meters from Beppu Station. It's a standard compact Japanese hotel, nothing to complain about.
A business hotel that is just 4mins away from beppu station. Staffs are friendly. Breakfast is delicious. Room is very clean. Price is reasonable. Totally recommended.
A quiet business class hotel located just meters outside the JR Beppu station, within close walking distance of day use onsen, shopping, and dining. While it's true they are adjacent to the elevated rail, in practice this isn't really a problem for all but the most sensitive travellers because of frequency and limited use at night.
