Kochi, 1-1-3 Harimayamachi (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The hotel is centrally located near most of the major attractions. As for the room, it feels a bit dated, but well-maintained. There are limited amenities on the ground floor for us to take and use. BTW, they don't do housekeeping every day, but do give you a clean set of towels the next day by hanging them on your door.
For those who drive, your car is stored in a Car- lift style building, so you...
Good location. Services are good. Staff tried their very best to help even though their English are not fluent.
It's easily accessible by airport bus, and best of all, the breakfast menu offers a wide variety of dishes, including seared bonito, so I always stay here when I go on business trips to Kochi!
This hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of major attractions like Hirome Market, Kochi Castle, and Harimaya Bridge, as well as JR Kochi Station. There's also a streetcar stop right in front, which makes getting around very easy.
It feels a bit dated, but as expected from the Nishitetsu chain, it feels well-maintained.
The location is excellent, the breakfast is decent, and the staff are friendly.
However, the humming noise from the air conditioner was annoying at night.
Those with sensitive skin might find it uncomfortable to sleep.
The hotel is located at a very central location which is just next to the shopping street. A lot of restaurants are nearby. The room is spacious. The hotel facilities are basic but sufficient.

The hotel is very old and conveniently located, very close to the fish market, about 8-10 minutes walk, there is a parking lot, but it is charged
The hotel is a little old, but the location is great!
I also thought the staff (front desk and parking staff) were very helpful.
I stayed in a twin room, and the room was spacious and very satisfying!
I'd like to stay here again next time I visit Kochi.
The hotel has excellent access to Kochi's tourist attractions, and I felt that the fact that Kochi Castle and Hirome Market are within walking distance was a big attraction. You can easily return to the hotel between sightseeing trips to rest or put your luggage away, and it was also very convenient to be able to return to the hotel immediately after enjoying a meal at Hirome Market in the evening
Rooms are quite old and need renovations. Service is quite nice. Breakfast is good but overpriced, with 2400 yen you will have better choices.
Although I only stayed overnight, the room was spacious and comfortable. I stayed multiple nights, and there were restaurants nearby, so I was able to enjoy a typical Kochi meal.
The parking attendant was friendly and I was a little happy to talk to me.
The rooms are dated, but clean and spacious. The mattresses and bed covers need to be renewed, but I slept OK. Would stay again. Good breakfast and on site parking.

Clean hotel with great staff and service. The best thing is definitely the location which steps out into the main arcade. Family mart down below and affiliated parking available for reasonable price (although car park is 4min walk from hotel).
The only thing was that their coin laundry within the hotel absolutely does not work. Ran drying 3 times and clothes still came out wet. Just go to another...
I stay here pretty much every time when coming for work in Kochi. Not many good hotels in Kochi and given its great location and good breakfast, hard to beat. Prices are also reasonable.
The hotel facilities and service details are excellent! Staff service is of high quality! It can also be regarded as a model for Japanese hotel chains!
Close to the shopping street, shopping is convenient. The waiters are polite and smiling. It is worthy of praise.
Clean and quiet on the commercial street

Great location, with easy access to all the sites around kochi.
Location was perfect as it was very close to the JR station. The local food market was 15 min away. Room size was ok, not too small. Nice staff but didn't speak English. I was asked to pick a time for room cleaning. The furniture looked quite new and I could smell the renovation. The website said no WIFI in the room. Actually, it had. I thought the website had not yet been updated. The major problem...
It's located just a short walk from Kochi Station along the main road, so it's convenient for anything you want to do.
The front desk staff were very polite and helpful.
I checked in late at night and checked out early in the morning, so I only stayed there to sleep. I wanted to enjoy the hotel and the surrounding area more. I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.
Super clean, quiet, and comfortable, with professional and friendly staff who were really helpful. We stayed in 4 hotels around Japan on our holiday and the Pacific was our favourite.

The room is rather small. The bed is OK but the pillow is too small and not comfortable. The onsen is of course the attraction. The room itself less. Kochi is an excellent place for local delicacies.

Very typical dormy inn, good location, then bare minimum on most things but for the price, it's good. The Aircon has a cranky noise that affects you resting. But the onsen and the snacks are good!
I visited on a whirlwind solo trip. The hotel room was clean and I was satisfied. What made me happiest was the all-you-can-eat seared bonito at the breakfast buffet. I honestly thought that because it was all-you-can-eat, the taste might not be that great, but I was surprised at how delicious it was. The hot springs were open until 5am, which was great for me since I like to stay up late. The late...
Low ceilings, pillows about as thick as an iPad, and a mattress that feels more like a traditional futon than a hotel bed. Staff are polite and efficient, the small onsen is lovely after a day out, and the location couldn’t be better.
Skipped breakfast after seeing the 20-minute wait — I’d skip the meal plan next time. Comfortable enough for a short stay, just don’t expect cloud-like bedding.
We stopped at the southern town of Kochi during our Shikoku cycling challenging around the island. It was a long day after 130km from Shishiku but finally arrived at the Dormy Inn at around 3:30pm.
Location wise it’s excellent as it is at the heart of the shopping district with many shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is bike friendly allowing us to take the bike into our room. Amenities is excellent...

It was fine for a short stay. Good people staffing the place. They are helpful and welcoming. Location is fine. Cozy and off the beaten path but still close to everything Kochi has to offer.
Great value for a short stay, good location and a rich breakfast!
Not far from the station. About 15 minutes walk to the shopping street. Staffs were nice and helpful. The sauna and open air baths were nice.

Clean and cozy. Near Kochi castle and Hirome market.
Parking is competitive - we have to park at the carpark opposite JR Kochi for our first night but managed to snag a spot the second night. Staff is helpful and friendly.

Stay here for 1 night. It's a business hotel and the room size is ok. Bathroom is on the small side even by Japanese standard . However the hallway and room smell of cigarette even though I'm pretty sure I selected non- smoking room ( which I always do however the booking confirmation did not mention whether the room is smoking or non smoking.) There's no parking on site but several parkings near by...
The rooms were dated, but the service was exceptional, thanks to the older gentleman at reception. He spoke fluent English and gave us excellent recommendations.
Both Kochi Station and Hirome Market are within walking distance. There is no large public bath, and the bathtub in the room is small. Guests were given a free drink of water. The breakfast was substantial.
A comfortable business hotel, just a seven or eight-minute walk from the Shikoku Expressway Harimabashi Station. It's right next to Obiyamachi shopping street. You can choose a welcome drink when you check in, and the breakfast is also good.
The staff were all very friendly and the room was clean and nice.
I stayed here on a business trip.

Value for money. Out of my expectations.
Good hotel. Will stay again !
This is probably a place for group tours. The focus was on the flow of things, and I didn't get the feeling of New Year's. Every year, we go on a New Year's family trip to various hot spring resorts and stay at decent hotels, but this time I felt like I made a mistake.
I stayed here last year as well.
It was such a great experience that I wanted to stay here again this year,
so I chose this hotel. The quality of the food seemed to have improved compared to last year. The bonito tataki was delicious.
Also, the breakfast area was conveniently located,
and they made efforts to avoid overcrowding, which was great.
I'll definitely choose this hotel when I visit Kochi...
I went to Hirome Market earlier than check-in time, but I was able to park my car in the parking lot. The open-air bath was also very nice, and the breakfast had a wide variety and was delicious. The Thursday Market was right outside the inn, so I was able to buy fresh vegetables and fruits early in the morning. Thanks to this, I had a great trip.
The "Yudono-Suiyokaku" at the Sancuiyuan Hotel is the only natural hot spring in Kochi Castle. Seasonal Tosa cuisine is served for dinner. It was a great stay and good food, and it was another wonderful day in Kochi.

Day 1 of a 2-night, 3-day trip to Kochi in December 2025.
Arrived at 3:00 PM on a Saturday.
It was nice and quiet, probably because it's not facing a main road.

Since it was Christmas season, we were greeted at the entrance by a Santa Claus balloon...

Such helpful staff, great all-around. Arigato 🙏🏾. Highly recommend this place if you need to rest during the Shikuko pilgrimage.
Good basic business hotel with a beautiful lobby, in a great location. Rooms come with breakfast and there is onsite parking available.
Cozy nice room. Small but equipped. Comfy bed. Simple but tasty breakfast.
Nice staff and clean common room. Limited choices for breakfast (bread, coffee, yoghurt, bananas, juice, water). Rooms are very small and seem a little old. Air-conditioning unit smells extremely bad (moldy/fishy). Cleaning seems superficial (everything visible clean, but corners/nooks are dusty).
The rooms size and conditions were pretty good for what you are paying for. Note that everything is smaller than if you were in America, but it was clean and comfortable.
This is a newer budget hotel in downtown Kochi, and it's about a 15-minute walk from the castle and Hirome Ichiba, and the Sunday Market. I was so happy to find this place for a sudden trip. I'm grateful for your courteous service.
The facility is old, but I had no problems staying there. Thank you!
Staff were nice and gave us washing detergent for the coin laundry available on site. Room was a bit cramped but expected for the price. Pillows were too hard but was a normal stay.
The room is clean and tidy, and the items are very complete, especially the bathroom, which is small but complete, very exquisite. The owner is very warm and thoughtful, and I am especially grateful for the free luggage storage.
It is very close to Kochi Ancient City, so I just strolled there.

Really great stay here. Wonderful staff that made you feel at ease and taken care of. Good breakfast selection as well with a wide selection of local and non-local foods.
Pham Ngoc Thanh Thu in particular was really welcoming and wonderful at the front desk, she always made sure we had everything we needed, so big thank you to her!
Good location, advanced facilities, high quality food, especially the breakfast buffet with many choices and good taste. The hotel staff are friendly, enthusiastic and helpful, which is a very good impression.
The price-performance ratio is very low. I live in a room on the 7th floor on the road side. There is a smell of oil smoke. Next to it is the exhaust vent of the anorectal hospital. I dare not open the window. If I don't open it, there is no ventilation. The toilet has a smell. There is no hot spring, only hot water bath. Except for the food and service, everything else is really average.
I stayed here for one night about 2 years ago. I was planning another trip and remembered I never left a review.

Kochi is a peaceful and friendly city with beautiful nature and great local food like Katsuo no Tataki. Kochi Castle and the riverside areas are lovely to explore.
However, shopping options are limited, nightlife is quiet, and it’s difficult to find rare items such as large raw coral. Transportation is simple but not very frequent.
