Yamatoya Besso in Matsuyama

I really enjoyed experiencing the Japanese hospitality culture.

Both the open-air bath (rotenburo) and the meals were delicious. The only reason I deducted one star is because after staying, I noticed a lot of dust in the morning, which I assume is characteristic of tatami mats.

I highly recommend the breakfast, and if you have time, try the tangerine juice at the main branch. The hot spring water was also wonderful, and the aroma from the cypress bath in the room was delightful.

I would definitely return, 100%.

The hotel's luxurious appearance and hospitality are unpretentious. A dedicated maid takes care of everything, from check-in to check-out. Naturally, draft beer and ice cream are all included. We had kaiseki for dinner. The best of them was the sea bream shabu-shabu. And all the dishes were wonderful! It's Japanese food. Breakfast was delicious, as we take pride in the hotel! The tamagoyaki and grilled salmon were delicious!

The types of dishes and the taste of each one were wonderful. The price was just right. The entertainment was also good and wonderful. I will be indebted to this hotel next time.

I stayed in a room with an open-air bath for one night. Check in early and relax in your room. We asked you to serve Biwa and Yokan loose-leaf tea with light ink. It was a hot day, but I was able to slowly cool down with local Japanese sweets and tea while looking out over the garden. After a while, I decided to take a bath. I visited the large public bath in the main building. After immersing myself in the hot water and working up a sweat, I left the dressing room for the sake bar and umaibo. Thinking that sake is happy after the bath, I grabbed a delicious stick. I thought it was a casual combination, but I was happy. I was very pleased with the quantity and quality of the food in the room. Delicious sashimi, grilled fish, and delicious sake filled my stomach again and made me feel luxurious. Afterwards, I took an open-air bath in my room before bed. The sky darkened, and when I looked up, I saw the Matsuyama sky between the leaves. Ah, I'm glad I experienced so many things that day, and it was such a relaxing and comfortable time. Immediately after waking up the next morning, I went to the large public bathhouse in the building where I was staying. Ice cream and beer in a box in the morning. Since such a time! Although, I guess joy excites me. Afterwards, my stomach and heart were filled with a delicious breakfast of grilled fish with a large salted salmon. For me, it was a wonderful vacation – enjoying the Matsuyama Dogoyuno hot springs and enjoying the delicious and luxurious food to the fullest while staying overnight. I am very grateful to the inn staff for preparing the rooms and baths, preparing meals, and caring for my surroundings. We received the utmost care and hospitality so that we could enjoy the best amenities. Besides, after a busy day at work, I want to immerse my tired mind and body in the best hot water and hospitality. In other words, I want to come again.

This hotel's location and service are truly impeccable. Aside from the fact that it's a bit of a climb to the shopping street below, everything else is incredibly convenient. It also feels like a paradise, especially with the two-meal package.

Reservations for the public bath or private bath downstairs are recommended.

There's a surprise just outside the large bathhouse; be sure to drink it afterward!

The rooms are spacious and clean. The large public bath is pleasant, and the baths in the rooms are also satisfactory. Major tourist attractions are within walking distance.

This is a place I want to go back to.
If I had the money, I would stay there for a whole month.
It was such a happy experience.
The staff were friendly, the hot springs were great, and the room condition was great.
It was the most impressive place during my trip to Matsuyama.
