Matsuyama, 3-3-1, Ichiban-cho (in the centre) 🧭 Map
The room size is big enough for 3 people. The bathroom is the separated style which is very comfortable and convenient. The location of the hotel is perfect for visitors to explore the area.
The hotel has a bit of history. It closed on March 31st. Leave a review as a memory. 🤣 Thanks....
Gooood location. Staffs all good and kind thank you.
Located next to Main Shopping Mall of Matsuyama. Rich and delicious breakfast. Hotel rooms neat and clean.
Pros: It has all the necessary amenities and services.
Water dispenser on every level, coin laundry (2 in 1) which can pay using IC card, located right across from the entrance to Okaido with Matsuyama Castle behind the hotel.
WiFi was strong
Cons: Hotel is a bit dated, with its mosaic tiled toilet and worn vanity and bedside table. AC/heating system is centralized, so not much control over wanting...

We just checked in to Matsuyama Tokyu REI Hotel earlier today, marking it as our 10th hotel on this journey, and the location immediately won us over. It was clean and its service is very good.
Good location and very convenient
The bar has a goog night view.
The overall environment was great. However, there’s one thing I’m extremely dissatisfied with—the walls! The wall between my room and the next is incredibly thin, and it even shakes. I have no idea what kind of ******* is staying next door, but around 12:30 a.m., they suddenly started banging on the wall multiple times. My bed is right up against that wall, and it shook violently three or four times...
This hotel was perfect. Very clean and good amenities made me very satisfied. Especially the breakfast service was very impressive
The staff at the front desk were efficient, though they came across as cold and reserved. The room was disappointing, with run-of-the-mill furniture/furnishings and a creaky chair. The lights were too dim. There was no view as the lower half of the window was blocked by a wall. On the other hand, the bathroom looked quite elegant and was kept clean.
The location is great. There are plenty of dining...

Located in Okaido area and very convenient to take the Ropeway up to Matsuyama Castle. Although room is not huge, it is clean and there’s a massage chair as well. Service is very attentive.
Good location, clean room and wonderful services.
hotel was amazing! reception was very friendly, allowed to store our luggages till evening next day!
room : spacious & very clean! [10/10]
location : near shopping district & tram stop but far from subway / JR, a little inconvenient for us with heavy luggages [8/10]
miku & I enjoyed our stay! ありがとうございます!
Clean and tidy, lot of parking space. Convenient location. Room size is good enough to open two big luggages
Super nice environment, hotel was clean and spacious enough, staff were all very polite
Really good location and service as per usual for Daiwa Roynet, but the carpet in the room was a bit dirty.

Matsuyama, 3 1 15 Heiwadori Matsuyama Shi Ehime 790 0807 Japa (in the centre) 🧭 Map
A family of three enjoyed this stay.
There are large public baths on the 3rd and 10th floors, and massage chairs are available for free use.
The open-air bath on the 10th floor was especially blissful.
It completely washed away all the fatigue of the day.
The hot spring water was so good that there was no need to go all the way to Dogo Onsen.
Aside from the slightly remote location from Okaido and...
It was good in many ways because there was a sauna inside and an outdoor hot spring.
The large public bath with water drawn from Dogo Onsen is the best. There are several types of shampoo and conditioner, so you can choose freely.
I used it to prepare for university entrance exams. There are convenience stores and drugstores within walking distance, so it's convenient.
The website said check-in was from 2pm, but the hotel said it was from 3pm, so we ended up waiting in the lobby.
The hotel was trying hard to give off the impression that they were not at fault.
In the end, we were able to check in a little early, but our plans were thrown off.
The place felt old overall.
There was a large public bath on the third floor, but we decided not to use it.
The amenities...
The hotel is too old and the rooms are also old. The hot spring is on the top floor. Men can bathe five days a week and women can bathe two days a week. But there is an indoor hot spring on the third floor, open to men and women separately, and bathing is also comfortable. I didn't expect that the Songshan Hotel is so expensive in the off-season. It's more than 900 yuan a night for a triple room, which...

Ok hotel. On site parking available. Simple breakfast.
In addition to the convenient location and complete facilities, the staff were friendly and the rooms were consistently clean, making it a safe and secure stay. The price, including breakfast, was very reasonable and offered excellent value for money. However, perhaps due to the fact that I stayed here at the end of the year, I was surprised to see a long line of guests already waiting when I arrived...
This time I stayed here, and it's wonderful that I was able to come across it.
I arrived earlier than check-in time, but the two men at the reception desk were kind enough to let me check in in advance and store my luggage for me. The location was close to Matsuyama Castle and Dogo Onsen, and it was easy to get around by tram, so it was very convenient. I was alone, but I had a comfortable semi-double room. The breakfast was thoughtful, with vinegar drinks and curry.
The cost-effectiveness is not bad.
The location of the accommodation was convenient, a 5-10 minute walk from the bustling Okaido area.
Breakfast, while limited in selection, was decent.
However, the shops on Okaido Street close earlier than expected (they close around 7-8 PM).
If you're looking for dinner, it's best to arrive early.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it convenient to get anywhere. The room was spotless and tidy, and the service was attentive and thorough.
It was really clean and comfortable to stay in, and the new design made it really nice. It was really great to have good memories and a comfortable stay on my first trip. I recommend it to travelers who come to Okinawa right in front.
Standard Japanese budget hotel. Nothing that stands out, both in a positive or a negative way.
Highly recommended!!!
The location and the staff were both great!!!
Highly recommended!!!
I stayed at the Vista Hotel in Matsuyama and it was absolutely wonderful.
The staff spoke fluent English. The overall quality was excellent, just that the room was a little smelly during my stay.
Overall a nice place, well located near a shopping district which enables easy access to convenience stores and the tramway

Clean and reasonably comfortable. Lots of breakfast choices, even some 'western' options.
Not luxury, but generally nice.
The room was very clean. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The Onsen on site was very convenient.
The room was renovated and clean. The bath feels old, but I think it is the best point for a business hotel. There is also a famous one-day hot spring within walking distance, so you can use that as well. The front desk didn't feel bad either. It is close to Matsuyama station and has good transportation.
Customer service is also polite and good ❗
The facility is also quite nostalgic.

Located on a street near to many izakayas and 15 minutes walk to the main shopping street and tram. No noise problems. Bed is comfortable.
Great location. Close to places we wanted to visit. Front office staff are very helpful and patient.
We had an excellent experience at the Nest Hotel in Matsuyama. Good location, close to lots of restaurants and it was a very reasonable price. Would stay again
It was decent, nothing special, but fair for the price. If I had to mention a drawback, it wouldn't be the hotel, but Matsuyama city itself. I found the dining options quite limited; outside of convenience stores (konbini) and izakayas, there weren't many appealing places to eat.
The rooms are cleaned daily and are kept very clean, but the hotel's facilities are a bit dated.
Nice and clean, not to far from the castle or onsen with convenience stores close by! Would recommend and stay again! (This is a second stay! So we did stay twice!)

Perfect location, convenient. If can more 2 units lift then will make better
Everything went smooth! It was a perfect place to sock your body in and relax yourself after a long journey.
90+ in general. The hotel has foot bath outside, which looked great!
It would be better if the tooth brush is softer and shower cap can be provided.
Only two massage chairs are not sufficient for the whole hotel.
Snacks after bath are fantastic.
Great stay - good sized room. The onsen facilities were excellent especially the outdoor onsen. Never busy when I was there. Great breakfast too. Welcoming and helpful staff. Quiet at night. Easy access to the castle, shops and restaurants and about a 15 min walk from Matsuyama City station.
Late-night soba noodles: Nice, very cozy.
Natural hot spring "Ishi-no-yu" (free for guests): It gets quite crowded, so you need to go at the right time. Many hotels in Japan have this kind of facility, and it's really comfortable.
Service: The front desk staff speak English, but not Chinese.

The hotel area, room cleanest and Onsen are amazing. I really like this hotel.
It's located right in front of the Okaido shopping arcade, so it's in a perfect location!
However, the rooms and bathroom smelled musty, perhaps because it's old.
The bathroom was a bit dirty, but there was a large bath, so it was nice to use it...
The breakfast was delicious, and the location was so great that everything else was forgivable.
The staff were friendly, and there were even Korean guests
Nice hotel. Good location. Nice service. Very helpful staff.
Perfect location! The hotel is very clean and the Onsen has a beautiful view over the city. My room looked onto the castle - which was spectacular.
If you're traveling to Matsuyama, I highly recommend the Candeo Hotel.
It's right next to the Okaido shopping arcade and less than 100 meters from the free airport shuttle bus stop, making it incredibly convenient.
The onsen on the 13th floor is small, but it includes an open-air bath and sauna. I used it twice daily, and it was free. The breakfast buffet was clean and delicious.
The tram stop is right...
This site of the hotel is very good. It is just one minute' walking distance from the train stop and easily found. It is just at the shopping area and there are a lot of restaurants nearby. Besides, the breakfast is tasty and full of variety. I was very satisfied with this hotel.

A good place to stay calmly and conveniently
This hotel has a great Onsen inside of it!!
The room was huge and comfortable, assisstanta were very kind and professional.
To make my first trip abroad comfortable, I used a translator to help me.
The first night we stayed in the East building, but this night we stayed in the West building. There was no shower room in the East building, but there was one in the West building. Since we were going to use the large public bath anyway, it didn't matter which one we stayed in.
The entire accommodation environment, facilities and services are great
The hot spring ♨️ is also a natural hot spring and the venue is also moderate
Taking a hot spring bath before and after the Ehime Marathon helped me completely relax and achieve a good result
Close to the shopping street, convenient for shopping
Recommended to everyone,

Everything in the hotel room was great, however it was too warm as they turned off the air conditioning.

It is just okay. But I was feeling small room for two.
This is the place I stayed during my second visit to Matsuyama. It's a bit far from Matsuyama Station and the main street, but it's quiet and clean, so I liked it. The breakfast was delicious, too.
Due to staff shortage, the restaurant is closed at night, no room service food. Seven Eleven store near the hotel was poorly stocked. The room and hall ways were clean, good cleaning staff.

Even if I checked in late, they still prepared a bento box for me, which was a real lifesaver.
I've been to Okudogo six times, which means I visit Matsuyama frequently. Every time I go, I make sure to visit Okudogo. In spring, the cherry blossoms are stunning. The hot springs are truly wonderful, and the breakfast and dinner are also great. While the rooms are a bit old, they are spacious, and the mountain view from the room is beautiful. I went on December 1st, and the autumn leaves were gorgeous...
This is a relatively old hotel.
The toilets are terrible; they're way too small and not even separated into wet and dry areas. It's cramped even for one person to stand in.
The view is okay, nothing special. The staff are quite friendly.
Overall, it's not worth over 1000 RMB; poor value for money.
The hotel is not close to Dogo Onsen street and you will need to drive or get a taxi if you want to go there. There are no restaurants or shops nearby the hotel. There is a walk nearby the hotel you can take which offers nice scenery in the woods. The hotel looks a bit dated particularly the bedrooms and the corridors. I asked for a quiet room facing the mountain instead of one facing a busy road...
The hotel scenery was absolutely stunning in the fall, and overall it wasn't too crowded. The large bathroom had many pools and a private hot tub. Dinner was a buffet with a wide variety of dishes.
Environment: There was a slight musty smell, but overall it was clean and tidy.
Service: The staff were proactive and responsive. Their English wasn't great, but their attitude towards communication was excellent.
Enjoy an all-you-can-eat buffet with 80 dishes featuring local Ehime ingredients! Savor the seasonal bounty of the Seto Inland Sea: The buffet was pretty good with a wide selection.

good location, right next to dogo bath house. the service is good and the amenities are outdated.

Where they have beautiful garden to walk around and if dog was allowed the stay would be more efficient and comfortable. Amazing place!
A very enjoyable onsen resort, the tatami room looks great and is very wonderfully designed.

We stayed here for two consecutive nights and are truly grateful to the hotel for giving us two distinctly wonderful experiences. This time, we stayed in Room 801. Trendy hotel right at the Matsuyama city station, very convenient for local transport and express buses. The hotel is clean with its own onsen to be used till late. I need to particularly give credit to the most spread out breakfast I have had in Japan that full of surprises as well as the complementary tea, coffee and ice cream. It’s well worth the price.

Room - passable. I got one which has mold on the window panes and curtains. Room smelt wet and the carpet very slightly moist. But the bed was comfortable at least and the temperature control worked. Unit bath was upgraded but tiny.

Good location near the Dogo Onsen Main Building and the onsen streets. The room is very basic and quite small. There was only one pillow provided and there were no extra blankets. There are three onsens in total; one indoor and two outdoor ones. The best part of my stay was the dinner which was sumptuous. It costs 10000 yen per head and has to be ordered in advance of check in.
It was the best decision I made to choose this hotel! 1min walk to Dogo Onsen, amazing services, a beautiful traditional-inn-look with a modern twist and the Dogo Street just 2 mins and the tram station within 5min walk. Incredible breakfast buffet and Roten-buro. The massage chair in the room!!

Very good customer service and the hot spring is very comfy ! Would like to visit again
