Yado Kanzan in Minakami

We stayed at Yado Kanzan to celebrate our anniversary, and it was truly one of our most cherished experiences. The snow-covered mountain view from our room was breathtaking and set the perfect tone for a peaceful stay.
In the evening, we were treated to a beautiful shakuhachi performance, which added a deeply authentic and memorable touch to the night. The food was exceptional every meal felt thoughtfully prepared and delicious.
One of the highlights was the private hydrogen spa with a mountain view, which was incredibly relaxing and special. The hospitality throughout our stay was outstanding, every detail was handled with care and warmth.
Everything was just perfect!!
We would absolutely love to visit again.

We spent our honeymoon at Yado Kanzan. It was probably the most breathtaking experience we've had in Japan, from extremely hospitable, humorous, and understanding staff, clean and practical facilities, to such a great hydrogen rich private onsen with the view of Mt Tanigawa. The dinner and breakfast menus were spectacular, we felt like royals with the variety, taste, and completeness of all flavours in all meals. The shakuhachi
performances at night were also tear jerking. Just after 1 day here, my wife immediately planned to come back again in the future. Thank you to Yado Kanzan team for the incredible experience.

Very clean, beautiful and great hospitality. Building is no new but well maintained. Even public hot tub and bathroom are kept cleaning anytime. Free coffee and tea service, Japanese comics and table games are also available.
Dinner and breakfast is wonderful.
Not only the foods are so tasty but also dishes are very beautiful to enjoy seeing foods too.

This is my second stay. Great customer service, the decorations in the lobby and the place well decorated with fresh flowers are just beautiful. The food is very colorful and the taste is great. I loved the lobby incense the first time and this time my friend asked me to buy it. Corona It's difficult, but please try. I will be healed again 💕 Thank you very much.

It was a small and good hotel. Corona measures were good and all dishes were very tasty. The amount was also enough. Women cannot eat... The bath is a private bath for 40 minutes, it is a hydrogen bath, and there are two more baths that can be used within 24 hours. This is a method of blocking when empty as a measure against corona. It looks like a hot spring. The maple leaves in the yard were beautiful.

We were so happy with the food here. Please make sure to include their award winning dinner and breakfast if you stay here! Very fresh ingredients, huge meals, and flavours were thoughtfully designed. We were told that you can even request a different main dish if you stay here for more than a night.

They have small buns with red bean paste in the room which is also available for purchase in the inn. I've never tasted the texture of a bun like that, they were soft and chewy, very tasty, and they probably only make them on the day.

They took great care to make sure everywhere was spotlessly clean and welcoming. Upon check-in they even wiped the wheels of our suitcases.

Bathroom is shared but private, which is when you use it to take a shower/ hot spring, you can lock the door and enjoy the whole bathroom for yourself.

If you visit this area, make sure you don't miss this place.

Absolutely the most amazing experience! The room was super comfortable and we slept very well. The baths were delightful. Everything was so perfectly clean. The hosts were impeccable, very welcoming, and at check-in had a script and translation device for communication in English which worked quite well.
I don't have words to describe how delicious the dinner and breakfast were. Every bite was a fantastic, scrumptious new burst of flavours.
With every penny!
Would like to have stayed longer.

Amazing Ryokan, so hospitable and took care of everything during my stay there. The food for dinner and breakfast was delicious every day and there was a flute demonstration also.

The food is elaborate and very delicious. All the employees were very friendly and the hot springs were great.
