I recently stayed at Shamrock Guest House. The room cleanliness was very good — everything was neat and well-maintained, which I really appreciate.

However, the overall experience could be improved. When I asked whether parking was provided, the staff said yes, but it turned out to be public parking outside only. It would be better if this was clearly explained from the beginning.

The room also did not provide towels, shampoo, drinking water, or a toilet mat. Not providing towels, drinking water, or shampoo is still acceptable for a budget stay, but not providing a toilet mat is quite inconvenient. After showering, the floor became wet and uncomfortable.

Hope the management can improve on these small but important details, especially communication and basic room amenities.

If you looking for room to sleep only when you are quite late reach Ipoh, then this may can consider. We reach this guest house by 10pm plus, as I told my wife, we just need a place for sleep, not require fancy hotel and cost you few hundred. Location is nice 2mins you can reach dim sum streets and 4mins you can reach Ong Kee Restaurant.

Shamrock Guest house locations are good ,big room,affordable, nice,
1-room clean
2-clean pillow,clean comforter,clean toilet
3-i scan with special tools, no hidden cam here
4-bed have 3,so i have 4 kids, no problem, so big
5-have fridge,my kids milk in good shape,no expire
6-have oven too, easy but i didn't use it
7-overall my boys very happy,because have more spacious
8-iron board and iron outside, but difficult to get it because women normally want privacy to ironing hijab, but it's okay, because this hotel not 5 ⭐, but it's perfect💯👏👏

I give 4⭐ .. Not bad is it..!! This room good..!!

0- SABUN AND Shampoos must pay to use, otherwise must buy it, luckily i bring my own
1- no toothbrush no toiletries, must buy it, other word is u must pay it to get it
2- dusted furniture
3-no coffee 3 in 1 for free, u must buy it, OR U MUST PAy it before bancuh 😂
4-but difficult to park
5-service customer service not very good
6-door must lock double check for lock, they use old door
7- air-conditioning not cold / not centre cover full bed
8-iron board outside room
9- i catch detecting few young malay couple around 16yrs - 23yrs come late at 2AM while i go down to fill hot water,They rushing go upstairs!! Do it haram or halal way i don't know..
10- THIS HOTEL IN TOTALLY REVIEW IS VERY GOOD..!! STRONG FOR DECADE MORE TO BUSINESS

Expensive small room, aged furniture smell in the room, moderate cleanliness, no lift, tv not functioning, poor lighting, given wrong type of room, no sorry but asked to pay immediately...

Pleasant experience. Friendly staff. Located near the main road, with many eateries and pubs, but not noisy since it was a weekday. Within 10-15 mins walk to the city centre where the famous chicken restaurants are located. Simple and clean room. Ample parking spaces, need to pay for parking. Available - TV with limited channels, towels, hairdryer, kettle, cups, bottled drinking water, fridge, safe, Good water pressure. Value for money.

The overall feeling is average, the price/performance ratio is a bit low. The room is very small, and two people can't stand at the same time when the suitcase is placed. The shower water is very small! When I went out, I asked the front desk to help clean up, but when I came back, I found that nothing had been done.

Taste is just wonderful! Not going to lie, price tilted towards the expensive side, but its worthy, every single penny. Try the chicken butter, i like that most.
