Best Star Resort in Pantai Tengah

The initial rooms on the 2nd floor were terrible. 😤 They had a foul odor, outdated construction, and the AC was non-functional. 🥵 Despite complaints, they claimed no other rooms were available, but after some arguments, we secured a rooftop room.

The location of this resort is fantastic! 🏖️ You get an amazing beach view right from the rooftop rooms, perfect for catching the fire show in the evening. 🔥 The newer rooms are spacious and comfy. Just ensure you book those rooftop rooms, the others are not good. 👎

The food options were disappointing as they lacked Indian breakfast. 👎

The front desk requires a cash deposit, but there's an ATM right outside the hotel, just turn left. To the right, there's a travel agency, and across the street, a duty-free shop. The beach is right behind the hotel, so the location is great. However, our room faced the beach and was very noisy at night. Luckily, we were exhausted every day, so it didn't affect our sleep. For breakfast, I could only really eat the bread, eggs, and fruit. The staff cleaned the room daily. There was no hairdryer and nowhere to dry clothes. Everything else was very good.

Great Beachfront Location, but Maintenance Needed at Best Star Resort Langkawi

I recently stayed at the Best Star Resort in Langkawi, and overall it was a mixed experience.

Let’s start with the positives: the location is fantastic. The resort is right in the heart of a vibrant tourist area, and it’s incredibly convenient to step out of the hotel and walk straight onto the beach without crossing any roads. My family and I really appreciated that easy beach access. They also had a small pool which was nice for a quick dip and a bit of relaxation.

The breakfast was decent as well. While I don’t personally eat a lot of Chinese food, it was nice to see they had good options for Chinese tourists, and overall the breakfast was satisfactory.

However, there were some downsides. The hotel’s maintenance really needs attention. The room I stayed in had issues with the bed and the furniture, and the walls seemed like they could use some upkeep. It’s clear the place could benefit from some renovation to bring it up to a better standard, especially given the price.

In summary, if you value a great beachfront location and easy access to tourist spots over luxury, this resort is quite good. But if you’re looking for top-notch room conditions, you might find it a bit lacking. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid choice for location and beach access, but be aware of the maintenance issues.

It is located in the prime location of Pantai Cenang, in the main shopping street, and right behind the hotel is the sea, which gives the sea view for a few rooms and to it's restaurant.

Their service has been very good, they maintain the rooms very clean, room service is definitely good. Their property and rooms are very well equipped with all the basic amenities, their staff are polite and helpful. You get decent breakfast with live counter for eggs.

Initially we thought to vacate when we checked in, as the reception and the overall look and feel of the property was very gloomy and like a lodge. But, after we checked in, we found all the basic amenities there, and for a budget hotel, it was a decent deal. If you want to stay in the same shopping street in a budget with all the basic amenities, this is one of the best property. However, if you want to upgrade, you have a lot of other hotels in the same street with higher budget. Overall, this is a good deal.
