We had the great pleasure of spending my holiday at the Veranda Pointe Aux Biches Hotel, and it was simply wonderful!

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the very friendly and helpful staff. Every single team member was attentive, courteous, and always had a smile on their face. You truly feel welcome and well taken care of from the very first moment.

The fantastic location right by the beach is absolutely perfect. The fine sand, the turquoise sea, and the breathtaking sunsets make every day something special. At the same time, the surroundings are peaceful and ideal for relaxing.

Our room was very clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. We especially appreciated the daily refill of the minibar, which made the experience even more convenient – a service that is definitely not taken for granted.

The overall atmosphere of the hotel is relaxed, stylish, and authentically Mauritian – exactly what you need to unwind and enjoy your holiday.

We would return at any time and can highly recommend this hotel without hesitation. A perfect place for an unforgettable vacation in Mauritius! 🌞✨

We booked this hotel based on their website and brochure as well as their star rating. It was not as advertised.

Check in was great and friendly but then you get told about everything you cannot do. They have a 4* rating but the part of the hotel that what seems to have that rating is at an additional cost and was not accessible to is (the past shown on the brochure)
The pool area looked like a standard public pool with a hotel that what seems can accommodate 100+ people only had 23 deck chairs by the pool. The all inclusive package only covered 5% of the drinks menu. The food was not the greatest, buffet style but the same food everyday on display for 7 days and looked like it was provided by a catering company that supplies airline meals.
The dining area was littered with flies and ants and birds, step away to get something from the buffet and your table is full of flies and birds on your food.
Staff were not that friendly and very request seemed as though it was a massive effort. Everything was basically self service, no poolside service (expected for a 4* resort) water sports as advertised here not delivered, for a resort again that can house 100+ people they had 1 inflatable kayak that is now tide dependent, the SUP is a makeshift wind surf board and very slippy that it can not be used with broken paddles, tried 3 days to actually use the kayak and sup but when it was “available” I get told to make a booking.
Cleanliness pool and beach side was very poor with empty drinks glasses and beer bottles all over the place.
Room was good and spacious, aircon broke twice as well.

The part of the resort we were at I would rate a 2.5 star and the 4 star area we could not access and not child friendly either that part.

Better meal, service received at the airport Burger King (our best meal of the trip).

Please do your homework before visiting this place.

And the attitude of the staff changed negative when we spoke English.

I won’t go back there again.

Marvellous little boutique hotel offering authentic Mauritian hospitality and service as well as cuisine. We were lucky enough to book here and experienced top notch hospitality from the moment we entered. Every employee from the waiters, to the reception, to the room cleaners were superb. The food is an experience in itself with REAL Mauritian food in high quality, good variety every lunch and evening. Stray dogs are on the beach but in Mauritius every dog belongs to everyone, it is a kind of natural bonding. They don't bother anyone and happy if someone feeds them. The Bay Area and beach depends on the weather, sometimes when too hot the water becomes shallow and slightly murky but other times beautiful and crystal clear. We did find that the beaches on the Eastern side were more stunning though. There is fast access here to many restaurants, shops, beaches, and dive centres in the area, so the location is great. Be aware though that most of the natural wonders and sights are 1,5 hrs away to the south by car like chamarel, black river, le morne, casela safari, etc. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place to all.

What can say ,we had the greatest time at veranda pointe aux biches hotel.The moment we entered the hotel the staff were friendly and attentive. The comfort room we were given was very nice rm 1206. As we had come back to Mauritius after 34 years and we thought we will celebrated our wedding anniversary here.
The Manager of the hotel Nitesh took care of all our needs and the staff were very polite an friendly. I must say this small boutique hotel is A*. Great cocktails at the bar. Lobster grill was *** delicious. The local rum tasting was interesting at the hotel.
Very clean hotel all round.
I would come back here.

The barefoot concept of this hotel is amazing - just go from your hotel room straight to the ocean. The rooms were clean and every day perfectly prepared. The only thing I would mention was the size of the second room in our family room, which was really small - the main room was nice and large though. The food (breakfast and dinner) was good with good selection of fish, seafood, chicken , pork etc. the best from our point of view was the Asian style evening. The check in experience was amazing - we were seated to sofa, were given wet&cold towel to cool down and a glass of cold tea. The receptions come and we did all while sitting in the sofa. We were walked thru the resort and everything was shown to us and explained. The resort is really small so it takes just a few steps to get from one side to the other which was excellent. Before our departure we were invited to a rum degustation. We would definitely come over again.

Great and attentive management determined to make our stay a happy one. Very pleasant and clean little beach lagoon even if the water inside the reef is a bit shallow at low tide. The friendly a-la-carte restaurant by the pool was nice enough but the menu too limited in terms of choice and variation for us on B&B for a full week. Visitors seeking peace and quiet are advised to ensure rooms are booked at the adults-only side of the hotel, with privileged access to the Sandy Lane restaurant in the evenings.

Lovely hotel. Stayed in Adults only section in October 2025. Beautiful room. Very friendly staff. Small hotel but beautifully decorated and lovely beach area. Stayed 4 days and booked trips through them which were great having been let down by an another provider.

Absolutely stunning, beautiful resort, staff friendly and always helpfull, Jessica our housekeeper left us a very nice note and made us feel special, everyday we were excited to see our new towels animal on our beds. The food was incredible, the staff took great care of the kids special dinner request.
Deserts and the Frittas was amazing yummy..

1. Eating arrangements confusing on the first day. Language differences makes it difficult
2. Rocky beach in front of hotel. Not a nice swimming beach
3. Water aerobics instructor needs more training. Very friendly, but not much knowledge of how to present it, and how it works.
4. Breakfast and dinner menu became boring after 2 days. Always the same. Variety would be a plus point.
