We arrived at the hotel Obala in August 2025 without any expectations because we had read reviews that were far from great , but we wanted to see the country, so took that risk. I don’t want to waste time talking about the room itself - it’s so tiny , one person can’t move freely - there is no place to put a suitcase ( you can try the wardrobe but then you can close its door and even won’t be able to leave the room) . But to be fair, the location is great - the hotel is next to the beach. The most outrageous thing is the dinner( we took HB) . When we came , we were given a salad ( cabbage, pepper !! In August ) , some soup and as we opted for fish we were served with the cheapest fried fish and cold potatoes. For dessert we were given some pastry . We did not want to have any pastry , so we inquired if there were any fruit. At which point the waitress rolled her eyes and behaved in a rude manner. The food is just inedible. When I voiced my disappointment to the manager, he tried to explain that the waitresses were young and inexperienced. While we were talking to the manager, the waitresses were pointing at us as if we had committed a crime . To make the situation better the manager tried to bribe with either an apple or an orange, which of course we declined. I had to contact my travel agent to get the refund for dinners. If you are going to stay in Obala, be prepared.

Need to be aware room/ensuite we had was in an apart ment about 120 m + away from hotel.On check-in staff were helpful and carried out luggage to our room ( down the street up some stairs to the lift.) At checkout Reception booked a taxi to the bus station - in total we waited 70 mins - after numerous enquiries from us the Hotel Manager sent a staff person to wait with us and in the end he rang another taxi company Very much appreciated🙏 PS shower was good but annoying that there was no overheard fitting

Very small two bed room, totally different reality from a hotel review, old date furniture, hotel need renovation, dangerous stairs leading to rooms, no storage space, rooms for two is a room for one person . Not enough towels in room . In reality this is two stars hotel.

This hotel is an absolute bargain for what you get! Our room was larger than expected, and although it was basic, it was decent, & the view from the balcony, overlooking the sea front, was beautiful. The location is awesome, right on the beach which is lined with gorgeous restaurants. Despite being very central, the hotel is very quiet & peaceful. We slept with our balcony door slightly open so we could hear the sea, it was so relaxing. My only slight negative (that was completely outshone by all the positives anyway!) would be the need for blackout curtains in the room, as soon as the sun began to rise, the room was very bright & woke us early. Also the aircon didnt work, but we didnt mention it to reception as we didnt need it anyway, but I'm sure they would have sorted it promptly, as all of the staff were really friendly & helpful. The breakfast was delicious too! We are looking forward to our return visit already!

Nice good hotel just in front of the beach. Staff outstanding: them helped me to park the car in a public parking and then shipped to me my documents i had forgotten in hotel. Great breakfast included in a reasonable price
