The location of the entire hotel and restaurant area is indisputably a dream. The really steep ascent, which involves a lot of stairs, is definitely only for physically fit guests, as there are no taxi options in the nested old town area. Once you have made it, you can enjoy a unique view over the city, the sea and the bathing bay. The operators welcome you warmly and we received the booked rooms. However, the promised equipment leaves a lot to be desired in terms of condition and cleanliness. Yes, there is a kettle for those who don't want to miss their first coffee until 9am, however there is a lack of either cups, spoons or the expected coffee/milk powder. You should bring this with you from home. The breakfast is served at the table, is typical of the country and if you ask nicely, you get everything according to your taste. Here we would like to positively highlight a cellar that introduced itself as a bee and always tried to please the guests. The hotel boss, on the other hand, gave the impression that he didn't care how comfortable his guests felt. We booked a boat trip with bathing opportunities through the hotel, which also corresponded to the promised scope. A trip to neighboring Albania is really interesting, but if the driver doesn't understand German and there's no reasonable communication in English either, you end up in places for which the trip was actually only worthwhile for the driver. Back to the hotel. Breakfast can start at 09:00, but only can. On the first day it worked without any problems, but from then on you had to be lucky if the waiter or cook didn't oversleep. This is very annoying when you have something planned for the day and you have to wait forever for breakfast. For all other meals, almost the whole area is set, but rather carelessly in terms of order and cleanliness. The food itself is okay, but also quite expensive. It is worth visiting the neighboring restaurants, their selection is much larger and the prices are very fair. If you stay on one of the upper terraces in the evening, you can often wait a long time until a waiter comes, which almost forces you to take care of yourself. In the end we left a day earlier than planned and looked for a hotel near the airport. Our advice to the operator family. You have an extraordinarily beautiful location and should act with much more heart and soul in order to satisfy your guests. Make sure the offer and reality match and if you resist the desire to tell you personally, then I hope this has given you the opportunity to work on your management.
