Hilltop Guesthouse in Windhoek

Perfect! For us probably the best Guesthouse experience while our stay in Namibia, friendly, incredible view, clean and a bit of home away from home! The best part (among many other things) was the breakfast: served on the veranda in front of your room, fresh and lovely arranged. So just perfect, thanks, we ll be back for sure!

We recently visited Namibia for a couple weeks in Sept 2016 and stayed at the Hilltop Guesthouse for 1 night at the start and stop of our trip, finding this to be a good place to kickoff and finish visits to Namibia for those flying in/out of Windhoek.

Our reservation was made many months in advance through the travel agent we worked with, Discover Namibia Safari & Tours, who recommended this establishment. It was a good choice.

Hilltop Guesthouse is a property on Lessing Street which overlooks part of Windhoek from a hillside. There are only 7 rooms which means the owner and staff are able to look over all guests very well throughout. There is a small parking area for a handful of vehicles as well as some additional space on the street just outside the property. There is 24 hour security at Hilltop Guesthouse as well.

Rooms are boutique in style, spacious, comfortable and well furnished. They include the expected comfortable beds, desk, closet space, TVs, A/C, coffee & tea facility and working safe. Bathrooms are equipped with modern and functional fixtures.

Each room includes access to outdoor deck space with individual tables where you can enjoy your breakfast just outside your room. There is a pool, tables and chairs on the property as well.

The owner is a friendly Namibian chap who was friendly and attentive. He is quite informative and can provide whatever information you may require regarding Windhoek or last minute shopping needs you might have prior to setting off on your trip. He also recommended reliable transportation (taxi) service for a dinner we had on our last night.

In the end, Hilltop Guesthouse proved to be a very good accommodation that we enjoyed and appreciated during our trip to Namibia. We would be happy to stay at this property again during future visits. At present, this seems to be a very good place to stay in Windhoek.

The room was very nice and we liked the hotel setup. Breakfast was a dream, very special and good and wifi was good as well. The people were friendly and helpful. There is a security guard watching the premises. We found the hotel to be a bit far from Windhoek city, if you do not have a car.

Friendly staff, clean and relatively spacious rooms. Air-conditioning is definitely sub par as the units are too small for the rooms. Anyone who knows Windhoek knows that air-conditioning can make a huge difference in the comfort of your stay.

This place is a hidden gem! We absolutely loved our stay! Warm and welcoming hosts, comfortable beds, gorgeous views. And the breakfast! It was the best! There is also gated parking with a 24-hour security guard. We will definitely stay here again when we return to Windhoek.
