Ti Melen Boutique Guesthouse in Windhoek

This was a bizarre experience. We stayed at an Ondili property in Etosha and had close to 5 star service all around (if not 5 star). We therefore had expectations of similar service at their property in Windhoek, it's why we booked. Boy were we wrong. While the room was kinda cute and the bathtub excellent the service was non existent, like there wasn't anyone there most of the time. We walked around calling out for someone multiple times and ended up just taking a bottle of wine at one point (we paid for it later when we found someone). When I wanted to inform the staff that we needed to check out early I had to find a maintenance person who them tracked someone down 30 minutes later. When I went to check out they said I hadn't paid. It took multiple phone calls for them to finally say, "oh yeah, he paid". It was a truly bizarre experience since it was the polar opposite to our experience in Etosha. I'm glad we went there first because if Ti Melen was out first experience I would have cancelled my reservation at Etosha Oberland. Needless to say i wouldn't return, wouldn't recommend anyone else does and implore Ondili to do something about this place as it hurts their brand.
