This venue is functional and clean. The advantage for us was that our camping vehicles had secure parking. Most of the rooms open straight into the parking lot and people walk past your door all day. Our initial room #15 was next to the laundry with big industrial washers running all day. We recently visited Namibia for a couple weeks in Sept 2016 and stayed at the Hilltop Guesthouse for 1 night at the start and stop of our trip, finding this to be a good place to kickoff and finish visits to Namibia for those flying in/out of Windhoek. Our reservation was made many months in advance through the travel agent we worked with, Discover Namibia Safari & Tours, who recommended this establishment...

The room was very nice and we liked the hotel setup. Breakfast was a dream, very special and good and wifi was good as well. The people were friendly and helpful. There is a security guard watching the premises. We found the hotel to be a bit far from Windhoek city, if you do not have a car.

Friendly staff, clean and relatively spacious rooms. Air-conditioning is definitely sub par as the units are too small for the rooms. Anyone who knows Windhoek knows that air-conditioning can make a huge difference in the comfort of your stay.

Perfect! For us probably the best Guesthouse experience while our stay in Namibia, friendly, incredible view, clean and a bit of home away from home! The best part (among many other things) was the breakfast: served on the veranda in front of your room, fresh and lovely arranged. So just perfect, thanks, we ll be back for sure!

We had an amazing stay at Montebello ! Loni, Julia and their team were super friendly and super helpful. Nice atmosphere and tasteful breakfast, you can have your washing done with no hassle. Accomodation also very clean and the staff also very friendly ! Would definately stay here again and recommend them to anybody who is looking for a place to stay for the night or longer.

Lovely stay - sweet rooms with small terrace!

We started our journey here and enjoyed the quiet and friendly ambience of the guest house. Totally recommended! It‘s not in the centre but the staff organizes taxi driver for you.

The service and cleanliness of the Guesthouse are fabulous. It serves a great breakfast. I gave 4 stars to the area around the facility, outside the gate, just to call attention to it being a mile from the center of Windhoek. The walk was not a problem for me, but it could be for a lot of folk. The management can order a car, and many tours will pick you up there.

We loved this guesthouse with gardens that are beautiful, inviting and intimate. Each large, comfortable room has a small, private outdoor table. Room and Location is average, the breakfast is more than needed. The had now window. Either you let the door open or you have no chance for fresh air in the room. All things are old and not well maintained but the function is given. The door is not easy to lock, even the service had to try it more times. The comfort of the bed is more then ok.

Very quiet and private homely accommodation. It was a secure and comfortable place for our family. The breakfast was great and staff were friendly and helpful. The guest house is located in an uptown location and within minutes drive/walk to big shopping malls. Please consider preparing meals, if you can. The guesthouse is in a god location. Easy to travel to the airport and close by a mall. Rooms were clean and the staff are very friendly. Basic needs were met. There are no hairdryers in the rooms which was a little inconvenient for me. Beautiful gardens, clean pool and lovely breakfast.

We picked this guesthouse for an overnight stay at Windhoek on our way towards the coast, and it was indeed a good choice - calm area, clean and comfy rooms, ample parking, alright breakfast and overall it was good and efficient. The owner was kind to welcome us personally at the check-in, and overall we had a very good stay here.

this is a nice place, a bit dated, but maintained alright. The room had a kitchen and a sofa with a table, it was spacious, more like a studio apartment. Big place. Only had a problem with the size of rooms and kitchen. They need to do some renovations.

Supper beautiful place, wonderful rooms. Minor renovations required and perhaps the cleaning team need to understand their roles to do it a bit more honestly. I will definitely go back again, I recommend double rooms, 24B or 16 to my friends.

After the safaris and dusty (and beautiful) desert experiences and hours and hours of being in the cars, the kids getting a chance to play in the pool and hike the compound looking for animals was an incredible way to wind down and relax. The Windhoek Game Camp exceeded all expectations on my solo March 2026 adventure. The service was top-notch and cleanliness was impeccable. I loved the unforgettable giraffe-feeding session, which made the experience truly magical. The staff were friendly and made my stay truly exceptional. Rest assured I will be back.

Perfectly located in the central city of Windhoek. Very nicely equipped tents and campsites with good facilities. Bar and restaurant well equipped

The tents are magnificent. The personell very friendly and the Camp is lovely. You can go on a hike by yourself and see the Giraffes and antilopes from upclose. Pool area is beautiful and refreshing. Distance from airport is perfect after a long flight. Only thing I wonder is if the animals have enough space to roam. Feeding the giraffes in the morning is happily not gaurenateed as they are wild animals...

We had a fantastic first two nights on the game camp. The rooms/tents are spacious and have everything you need. The staff is excellent and dinner and breakfast are perfect. The giraffes in the morning are of course a highlight and also the climb to Mount Wackel is highly recommended. Thanks for the great start of our Namibia adventure.

It is a really nice place to stay at. The room was big, offered everything we need. There was a nice bed and good working AC for example. The food was also very good here and we drank some nice wines too. There was a lot of parking space which was good since this was our first day in our huge car which we had to get used to.

The Immanuel Wilderness Lodge is superbly located just north of Windhoek, on the edge of the city but also in the countryside. Their food, from breakfast through lunch and dinner, is delicious and the portions are big. The highlight however are the rooms, which are spacious and set away from the main lodge, for a quiet getaway.

We really loved our stay at Urban camp, the place was quirky, fun and practical. We were in a deluxe tent for two, it was awesome and immaculate, with everything you’d except in a hotel. The bar and restaurant was great too, as was breakfast, the staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The camp is fantastic. the services, the tented camps the bathrooms. just everything is perfect. will definitely stay there again. Actually, we will only stay at Urban camp if we visit Windhoek again.

This place exceeded our expectations for our first night in Namibia. it was beautiful and the tents were amazing. i loved the outdoor showers too. The food in the restaurant was lovely - it was a fabulous stsart to our holiday.

The Camp is the perfect place to start or end the trip in Windhoek. The stands are shaded, with a private braai and seating area, power and water. The showers and toilets are clean and close by. We can recommend the restaurant with the German food touch. Because it is so close to town, you get some of the noise here and there.
