this is a nice place, a bit dated, but maintained alright. The room had a kitchen and a sofa with a table, it was spacious, more like a studio apartment. The breakfast was nice, the service was good, however, one towel, the big one, got dirty so I left it on the floor so they could change it in the morning, but I later found the same towel hung in my bathroom - probably for me to use again. It was good there was another small towel that I used when I took a shower... Apart from that, it was a nice place

I would like to add that the service, cleanness, atmosphere, staff, internet, landscape within and around the hotel, as well as support and friendliness of the owners who run it, is really great. I could especially say it for Mrs. Barbara and her son who were always around. Moreover, it is "value-for-money" option in Windhoek. Moreover, in my case, it was very close to my new workplace, and , also, it was on a walking distance to several restaurants, cafes, supermarkets, and gas stations. Thus, the location was very important to me, and probably to many other guests.

was the closest available option compared to price and distance from the SA Embassy. The garden and looks of the place is very nice. heater and aircon, big room, tv, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Good directions and convenient layout of rooms and property.

The property is centrally located, the vegetation is carefully selected and is in harmony with the rocky and dry conditions of Klein Windhoek, and its landscape is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Ms. Barbara, the Manager we interacted with on site is flexible and was able to change our room to the one that suited our needs. Ms. Shiavanga (not sure of spelling), one of the staffers responsible for breakfast and cleaning our room, is efficient, kind and friendly. Her warmth and sense of service made us feel as if we were home away from home. Every establishment would benefit from having an employee like Ms. Shiavanga. We plan to stay at De Vagebond next year when we go to Windhoek for our annual holiday.

My second stay at De Vagebond. Friendly staff with Barbara personally making sure the customers are comfortable. Rooms are comfortable and well equipped, including a decent work desk for business travelers like myself. The B&M is minutes walk from the UN house and supermarkets.

A gem in Windhoek
A beautiful location in the centre of Windhoek. Friendly staff, comfortable living area, and great service. Two of the taps were loose in the bathroom but apart from that we wish we’d stayed for longer!

A very nice and centrally located bed and breakfast hotel. The rooms are well kept and neat. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is very good and balanced. I especially enjoyed the strong coffee, which is better than most coffees offered at five star hotels in Windhoek. The price is good value for money, and the place is very well kept, safe and secure, with ample parking space. The plants are weather suited and are carefully selected and tended to be in harmony with the dry and stony landscape of Klein Windhoek where De Vagebond Hotel-Pension is located. I will definitely go back whenever I visit Windhoek and I would highly recommend De Vagebond to whoever prefers to stay in a beautiful, quiet, safe and secure hotel.

A pleasure to stay at De Vagebond. Rooms immaculate, staff great and breakfast was very good. Off street secure parking a bonus. Position is tops for restaurants both within walking distance and a short drive away.
