I’m writing my first experience with Hotel Shambala hotel is really very nice. Staff is very polite. Very respectfully especially the cleaning is very nice. I personally like to appreciate and thank to they’re cleaning staff receptionist, restaurant and all staff, my personal appreciation for sister Sarita, Junu, Roshni & Reshma. Really really very nice hotel and staff

The hotel has been extremely supportive in every possible way from the start to the end. Could not get better place to stay when you are in Mustang. Highly recommended!!!!

I had a very disappointing experience with the front desk. Around 10:30 PM, I realized there was no sugar for the tea/coffee in my room. When I called reception, I was told they couldn't help me because sugar is 'a housekeeping item and can be arranged by morning 6:30 only. It’s ridiculous that at a hotel, the front desk can't access basic supplies or provide a simple solution for a guest at night. Very poor service and lack of initiative.

The rooms are a bit dated, but the staff and the location are wonderful! The roof top bar and pool have an extraordinary view, so bring your swim suit! The onsite spa is totally affordable and I wish I could have gone every day. The restaurant has a very nice breakfast.

Their ground floor is too dark and cold and they made their top floor restaurant ugly by making it look like a party palace. Earlier it was such a beautiful serene place to sit next to the pool and watch the city, hills, sun

If I should come back to Kathmandu I would definitely come back to the Hotel Shambala. Not only the staff was very nice but the services, rooms and breakfast were all very good. I would highly suggested it. It is maybe not very near the center but you can reach it easily with taxi or motorcycle. Nearby you have embassies of US and Australia, plus some good restaurants.
