I had the best experience at Thamel Eco Resort .I received first-class service from the moment I arrived. Exceptional hospitality, elegant rooms, and safe and secure environment were the best parts. Thank you so much for making my trip memorable

Check in by mistake as the driver dropped us at the wrong hotel. But it turns out to be a blessing in disguise. The staff was super friendly and helpful without expecting anything in return. Breakfast is alot better than other similar-priced hotel.

Stayed at eco resort for a night to catch next day early business meeting. Though the rooms are Mid-range and a bit old but the service, and all the team members are so nice. Homely and cozy feelings, not upgraded but ample garden space to walk around and multiple amenities like specialty tea from teafresho, Nepali arabica coffee from Javazza, etc. highly recommended!

Great hotel, especially the staff, are very friendly and help full, it very close to all the tourists attractions, walking distance to all shoping malls The in-house Spa Samsara is also great, and the food they serve are great. I loved the Nepali beer 👍 🙏

Our mission volunteer group stayed at Thamel Eco Resort “off and on” for a month. The staff were magnificent, accommodating, and super helpful and friendly. The in-house food is delicious and served with care by professional servers. They will do anything for you, including hailing taxis, exchanging money, planning tours, buying your personal items, and simply providing hospitality 24-7. What a great staff!

Thamel Eco Resort staff remember my name, my likes, and my style - They've gone out of their way to accommodate a cranky old man! The resort is hidden behind the main street (a bit hard to find - you guys need a new sign!) But once you're here, you'll love the two gardens - the always on duty staff, and the serenity one needs after battling with the street-life of Kathmandu. I hardly feel like I'm in Kathmandu as I write this review - Convenient shopping for gifts and necessities right outside the door. I'm now looking for an opportunity to return - maybe become a live-in resident for a while! Great place! Need a refreshing beverage, or something to eat? Bishal will see to your needs. Anything else, Nabin will take care of you!

I be stayed here twice now - the first time in April 2019, and again this time in April 2024. Both trips were organized by Earthbound Expeditions, and Thamel Eco Resort is their home-base in Kathmandu. The hotel is located on Thamel Marg, in the very heart of Thamel, but it’s hidden away down an unmarked side street. You walk down a narrowing street, almost an alley, and it suddenly opens up into a flower garden and courtyard, with the five floor hotel surrounding three sides. Everything here is low key and tuned to the travelers comfort. Rooms are simply but comfortably furnished, attached bathrooms with hot water, good WiFi, a hearty breakfast buffet,, cash conversion, a digital weighing scale for your pack, and free filtered water dispenser. - all useful and convenient. The front desk staff is friendly, helpful and efficient - they can organize trips too if you need. Given the hustle and bustle of Thamel, the Thamel Eco Resort is like a peaceful oasis, we loved to chill in the courtyard with a drink, after our shopping and sightseeing forays in the town.

Spent seven days in Thamel Eco Resort. Feels like home. Clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. I love the garden cafe here. This place is at the heart of Thamel. So in the afternoon, it's great to shop around here and at night it's close to a lot of entertainment.

This is a good budget hotel in a great location with a lovely courtyard garden to escape to from the bustle of busy Kathmandu. I think some previous reviewers were expecting more because they called it a resort. It’s a good hotel with attentive staff. The water is properly hot (a plus in Nepal!) and the bathroom was relatively modern. We were in a twin room and my friend’s bed was comfortable but mine was quite hard. When I asked if this could be attended to the next day they replaced the mattress without fuss. We enjoyed our stay here.
