Prinsen Hotel in Amsterdam

We booked a night at the Prinsen Hotel on short notice and had an overall good experience.

Service:
The staff was very friendly, especially the lady at the reception on the morning of our check-out – she was incredibly kind! Another big plus: We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checking out.

Room:
Our room was very small, but for one night, it was absolutely fine. The bathroom was also compact, but everything was clean, and the beds were comfortable. One minor downside: The floor creaked quite a lot when walking on it.

Comfort & Temperature:
A big disadvantage is that there is no air conditioning. Even though we left both windows open all day while we were out, the room was still quite warm when we returned in the evening. In summer, it might be too hot to stay comfortably.

Location:
The location of the hotel is excellent – very central and perfect for exploring Amsterdam on foot or by public transport.

Technology & Check-in:
The hotel is modern and well-equipped. There is a virtual host at the reception in case it is not staffed in the evening. The check-in process was super easy and straightforward.

We stayed 3 nights at the hotel. The staff were amazing! Lovely courtyard at the hotel to sit and relax. Very close to tram, museums. We stayed in Room 4 which got a bit hot during the day. Overall a lovely stay.

Great place for what we needed! Room was small but perfect for 2 of us and just 1 night in Amsterdam. It was close to the Vondelpark which we loved, the train to get us just about anywhere, and centrally located for museums and an Albert Heijn all within walking distance. Staff was very friendly and attentive even when someone wasn't physically available they had a hologram of a LIVE host to answer questions or any concerns. The outdoor patio was nice even though it was a bit cool and rainy during our stay so we couldn't enjoy. Nonetheless, I would consider going back and staying again, even if for a couple more days.

For the price wise regarding where the hotel located is great. We paid 665euros for family of 4 for 2 nights. Other hotels in the same area they were asking over 1000 euros. Well located, free wife, free coffee tea but you have to pay for the breakfast. Beds were comfy enough and bed linen was clean. I even checked the pillows inside they were clean. Nice beautiful garden for my kids to spend sometime. Run jump observe. You can paid park in front of the hotel in 2025 April daily rate is 60euro. There are also other secure parking spaces around. This is an expensive city compared to London. I felt at least fair enough with the hotel.

A very unique way of checking in at this hotel when you arrive past their working hours, but nonetheless the check in process went very smoothly. Room is not big, but enough for 2, spacious bathroom, and we are lucky enough to get one with a balcony. Hotel is near to transport and city, and is safe and quiet.

Nice staff, comfortable and clean rooms, tasty breakfast for the fair price! We really enjoyed the stay and would love to come again!

Maximum satisfaction.Cleaning,clean and whether I arrived at ten in the evening or at four in the morning,the staff was always accomodating and meet my reguirements.I highly recommend.

Clean rooms that are reasonably priced. Friendly and efficient service from the staff. Close by to Vondelpark. Breakfast for 10euros. Ticked all the boxes for me!

Prinsen is on a really, really nice street which is super clean and nice to stroll at night. Tram stop is only couple of minutes walk. The staff are really nice and friendly. If you are unsure where to stay, Prinsen made me feel very comfortable and at ease. No complications or complaints.
