Regal Palms Resort in Rotorua

I booked a room in New Zealand on Ctrip, which listed it as a five-star hotel. The price was 1,440 yuan per night, but after I placed the order, taxes increased it to over 1,660 yuan. I followed Google Navigation to the address, only to find it pitch black. There was no sign of a five-star hotel, nor was there a lobby reception center. I immediately contacted Ctrip customer service online, and after 20 minutes, they told me the key was in a code box outside the reception center. After searching in the dark for a long time, I finally found the entrance to the reception center. I found a box on the wall outside the door. After entering the code, I found a steel key with a plastic tag. No staff were there. Because the hotel looked like a motel, it took me two hours to find my room in the dark. It was right in front of where we parked. The security door opened onto the living room. The bedroom had no air conditioning, but the living room had a wall-mounted air conditioner. Directly outside the security door was the parking lot, and I could see cars passing by. I checked the official website and found the price was a few hundred yuan, just over 800 yuan including tax. Ctrip, however, listed it at over 1,660 yuan. I contacted Ctrip several times, and the first time they said they would give me a 195 yuan subsidy. The second time, they said they would give me 320 yuan. The third time a supervisor came, who refunded the 520? I asked why they treated us like bigots? A five-star hotel that costs over 1600 is actually a motel. No one greeted us when we checked in, and we had to find the code box and key to enter the room. There was no air conditioning in the bedroom, and the children caught a cold. Dad slept in the living room guarding the security door.
