The walls of the room were too thin. The voice and noise from other room could be heard as if we were in the same riom.

We were not told of the steepness of the path leading to the hotel, which was difficult for my wife to negotiate. We were half board but we're not told drinks were not included with our evening meal, not even water. We also were not told whether we could bring our own drinks in, even if it was just water. The staff were not very helpful if you did not want to buy drinks and if I'd known that you could...

This hotel is in a great location and, has a good restaurant which offers a buffet breakfast with a great variety of things. The rooms are neat and tidy and the views from some of them are spectacular. I Would recommend for smaller groups, families and or solo travellers.

The room is clean, very bright, the windows overlook the tennis court

Good localisation, food very tasty for the luch and a lot of acomodities nearby the hotel, the center of funchal is a bit far by feet.

Very beautiful view from my balcony. I recommend everything was good.

Quinta Funchal Gardens – Adults Only

Great hotel, excellent buffet breakfast with hot food unlike most hotels on the island. The only downside is there seems no safe pedestrian way in and out of the hotel. The road out of the hotel is both long and very narrow with no pavement/sidewalk and cars drive up and down at speed around blind bends. We nearly got hit serval times when we first attempted to walk into town.

Loved our one week B&B stay in this beautiful and characterful hotel with stunning views and gardens. Our room was quiet and very comfortable overlooking the gardens. Service from everyone was great and the breakfasts were fantastic. Yes, its an uphill trek on a narrow road (about 30 minutes from the centre) but take care and it's fine and well lit in the dark. We loved this hotel. Old-style, but everything good and clean. But we didn’t like breakfast - it’s just bread and some cheese and meat. It’s better to have breakfast somewhere else. But room is really nice, clean and quite.

I stayed at the Hotel do Centro for three weeks via a Jet2 package holiday. On arrival, and throughout my stay, all of the staff at this hotel were really nice and friendly, always saying hello or good morning, with one member of staff even welcoming me in the morning by name. Great location a few minutes walk from all amenities and restaurants. 24/7 reception made check out in the early hours very simple. Comfortable hotel to stay for 1 night after flight. I had a good rest, simple breakfast, regular room. Nothing very special, but stuff were really friendly and for 1-2 nights it’s really nice.

Staff members are very efficient and helpful! Room was very clean but dated need renovation. TV not working but good WiFi connection and I can watch TV news using my iPad! Breakfast is ok! Lot of shop , restaurants and supermarkets near by.

A very simple, modest and old hotel that has been in need of repair and replacement of equipment for a long time. Close to everything, quiet, friendly staff

This hotel was a stop gap measure as our accommodation fell through and we needed something quickly. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean and not cramped. I had an ample twin room and the bathroom was spotless. Overall the hotel was fine just a little faded and in need of a renovation just for aesthetics.

Everything was as stated. Everything was perfect! The rooftop view was amazing! One of the best hotels I have stayed at!

We stayed one night before our flight. The hotel was clean and no-frills. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, including the bedding and towels. Air conditioning and TV were included. We packed breakfast because of our early flight. It's located almost in the center of the bustling city. Nearby are cafes, restaurants, a promenade, and a shopping center.

Had read mixed reviews about this hotel but our experience was very good. We were in room 53, it was very nice. Separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom. Nice place, amazing service!!! The hotel is good, very comfortable and safe (handrails in the bathroom, easy entrance, the location is good, not far from the main road. There are plenty of cafes around. The staff is excellent, they made us a very early breakfast upon check-out. If you are traveling with elderly parents, this is the best.

The location, the setting, the facilities and cleanliness is pretty good. The issue is with their service. We tried calling the reception during the working hours and there was no answer. They also did not call us back. If we are lucky, we will see a staff and get some assistance. It is important to have a car of your own otherwise it is difficult to get around in the resort. It's a beautiful resort. The apartments are superbly located and very well equipped. We had a truly stunning view of Funchal, the harbor, and all the boats. A fantastic, luxurious apartment, delicious food on the golf course, a wonderful day at the spa, and a lovely afternoon tea at the hotel. It was fantastic, and we will definitely be back.

We have stayed at Palheiro Village 4 times in the condos. We fell in love with Palheiro upon seeing the view of Funchal from our balcony. Truly unforgettable. The condos are lovely, well-appointed, and very comfortable. The balconies are the highlight with their views. The Golf Club is delightful for drinks and food. Highest possible recommendation!

We love Palheiro Village. This was our 4th stay. We always stay here in Madeira. Our hearts fell in love with the view from our balcony on our first visit. Now, Palheiro Village feels like home.
