The walls of the room were too thin. The voice and noise from other room could be heard as if we were in the same riom.

We were not told of the steepness of the path leading to the hotel, which was difficult for my wife to negotiate. We were half board but we're not told drinks were not included with our evening meal, not even water. We also were not told whether we could bring our own drinks in, even if it was just water. The staff were not very helpful if you did not want to buy drinks and if I'd known that you could...

This hotel is in a great location and, has a good restaurant which offers a buffet breakfast with a great variety of things. The rooms are neat and tidy and the views from some of them are spectacular. I Would recommend for smaller groups, families and or solo travellers.

The room is clean, very bright, the windows overlook the tennis court

Good localisation, food very tasty for the luch and a lot of acomodities nearby the hotel, the center of funchal is a bit far by feet.

Very beautiful view from my balcony. I recommend everything was good.

Great overall. Very friendly. Great location for the old town. Would stay again.

hotel staff are very friendly and willing to assist, room is clean and has everything you need. only downside is that there’s no parking available onsite

The food was pretty poor, we forgot our cosmetics in the bathroom and we were never able to get them back

The hotel has friendly staff, an excellent location, a good rooftop restaurant, and a reasonable price.

The room is large, clean and hygienic.

Located in the heart of Funchal. There is a very beautiful park nearby. From the window there is a view of the church. Breakfast buffet is standard, coffee is disgusting. There is a lot of audibility in the room. Everything else is great. I'm happy.

A very simple, modest and old hotel that has been in need of repair and replacement of equipment for a long time. Close to everything, quiet, friendly staff

This hotel was a stop gap measure as our accommodation fell through and we needed something quickly. The staff are helpful and the rooms are clean and not cramped. I had an ample twin room and the bathroom was spotless. Overall the hotel was fine just a little faded and in need of a renovation just for aesthetics.

Everything was as stated. Everything was perfect! The rooftop view was amazing! One of the best hotels I have stayed at!

We stayed one night before our flight. The hotel was clean and no-frills. The staff was friendly. The room was clean, including the bedding and towels. Air conditioning and TV were included. We packed breakfast because of our early flight. It's located almost in the center of the bustling city. Nearby are cafes, restaurants, a promenade, and a shopping center.

A very clean and friendly hotel to stay at. We were in the main building. There are three others. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is very quaint with comfy beds and a continental breakfast. Snacks are available in the afternoon. There is building work going on either side and can occasionally be noisy. It did not spoil our holiday. There are amazing resteraunts . Easy access to taxis and buses...

What a fabulous find this was! Such a little oasis hidden behind a large green door. Three traditional villas, with a modern addition housing a really great indoor pool and additional rooms. Had read mixed reviews about this hotel but our experience was very good. We were in room 53, it was very nice. Separate bedroom, lounge and bathroom. The bathroom had both bath and shower with no sign of mould or damp. A balcony was a good addition, overlooking the garden and pool. The staff were very friendly and helpful too. We loved this hotel. Old-style, but everything good and clean. But we didn’t like breakfast - it’s just bread and some cheese and meat. It’s better to have breakfast somewhere else. But room is really nice, clean and quite.

I stayed at the Hotel do Centro for three weeks via a Jet2 package holiday. On arrival, and throughout my stay, all of the staff at this hotel were really nice and friendly, always saying hello or good morning, with one member of staff even welcoming me in the morning by name. The cleaning staff do a wonderful job with the room cleaned and towels changed every day of my stay. Again the staff at breakfast...

Great location a few minutes walk from all amenities and restaurants. 24/7 reception made check out in the early hours very simple. Handy mini fridge in the room allowed us to store our own food and drink. Breakfast was very simple, however there was ample space and no wait. Comfortable hotel to stay for 1 night after flight. I had a good rest, simple breakfast, regular room. Nothing very special, but stuff were really friendly and for 1-2 nights it’s really nice.

Staff members are very efficient and helpful! Room was very clean but dated need renovation. TV not working but good WiFi connection and I can watch TV news using my iPad! Breakfast is ok! Lot of shop , restaurants and supermarkets near by.

The hotel is located quite centrally, 15 to 20 minutes walk from Funchal Marina. If you are tired, a taxi fare back from the marina is around 7 Euros. The walk back is uphill so can be challenging in the heat after a long day out! The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. As the descriptions tell you, there is a safe available but you have to pay extra. There is a games...

Good quality-price relation. Rooms were big and confortable. We went with our 5 year old son and got the extra bed for no additional price and it was worth it, as the room was big.

Nice place, amazing service!!! The hotel is good, very comfortable and safe (handrails in the bathroom, easy entrance, the location is good, not far from the main road. There are plenty of cafes around. The staff is excellent, they made us a very early breakfast upon check-out. If you are traveling with elderly parents, this is the best.

Friendly staff and nice refreshing pool. Breakfast has good quantity; quality is okay. In general, a good stay!

You'll have to be very fit to stay at this hotel, steep hill to and from the hotel. No transport provided up to the hotel with all your luggage, we are a retired couple and there was no warning about a steep climb, especially when you're dropped off at the bottom with all your luggage. Hotel itself is nice but wouldn't stay here again because of the very steep climb.

Extended the stay for an extra day as soon as we arrived. Great room with a big bed and great breakfast also.

The indoor pool was closed for renovations and there was construction in the hallway, resulting in a lot of noise from 8 am. The breakfast buffet was well-stocked. The cleaning staff was very friendly. Climbing the 130 steps to reach the hotel at the end of the day was tiring.

We stayed at Mimosa Studio Hotel for 7 nights. Upon arrival, we were first given a room on the ground floor with a view of the hotel entrance, which was not what we had requested. Since I had booked specifying a higher floor with an ocean view, we immediately spoke with the reception. The staff were very understanding and promised to move us, and within 2 days we were relocated to the 10th floor with...

The dining room -I was there for the breakfast- is an old one, not so inviting. The breakfast-selection is not so good, as a vegan or vegetarian you can't choose much (only beans & bread), the coffee is okay but not tasty, the juices are not fresh & sugary.
