The room was spacious and had a great view of the pool and ocean. The staff were lovely but the service was slow I must admit. The bar downstairs was lovely too, however the ladies room was missing a few things

Excellent hotel with loads of facilities. Some of the highlights are: large bedrooms, nice sea view balcony's, large public spaces with comfortable seating, huge swimming pool, rooftop bar and infinity pool

The best hotel in Madeira. I recommend upgrading to the upper lounge. There you can have a quiet breakfast with a stunning view of the ocean and Funchal. There is a terrace and a small pool.

Fantastic hotel everything is brand new. I've travelled extensively and this place is great. Lacking in quality evening entertainment but I assume this is due to not being very busy. Facilities and staff are great

The service is excellent throughout and there were plenty of staff on hand. The hotel is very clean and well maintained. Bedrooms are beautiful and they make an extra effort for honeymoon guests (as we were)

Room is amazing we have a bathroom each which the Mrs is pleased about ,freestanding roll top bath in hers. Looking forward to returning when things are back to normality and masks aren't required

The swimming pool was cold, there was no toothpaste , no electric kettle in the room, no complimentary water, the room was outdated, the shower was very old and difficult to use, in all honesty this hotel room was a 2 star at best

Very close to the park, to the main passenger port, casino, and also walking distance to the city centre. Also close to the local curiosity - micronation of Pontinha ☺ worth visiting

Rita at the front desk was very friendly and gave me a great room. The night view at night was also beautiful. You can see the magnificent Atlantic Ocean at the breakfast area

The hotel service is very good, the room is very clean, you can put together a big bed or split it into two single beds, the room is large, although the hotel has a long history, it is well maintained, there are indoor and outdoor swimming pools, and there is snorkeling on the sea

There are four swimming pools, one of which leads directly to the sea. It's so beautiful ~ Very cost-effective

The hotel is built by the sea with beautiful scenery. The lower part of the hotel has one side against the cliff, similar to the Shenkeng Hotel in Songjiang, Shanghai. It is convenient to walk to the city for 15 minutes

The hotel is in a great location - near to ocean promenade ( lido complex -15 mins by foot), restaurants , super markets . Breakfast spread was also good so was the views from room both city ans ocean view eoom

This was our second time staying at the Jardins D’Ajuda Suite Hotel and we were not disapointed in the slightest! The rooms were cleaned daily and beds very comfortable! Food was great and staff friendly

Stayed here for 2 weeks during Corona times. Very nice, everything is very clean, the staff is friendly and polite. The breakfast was more than sufficient. Comfortable beds and a beautiful pool overlooking the sea.

According with 4*, rooms are cleaned everyday, towels are replaced everyday, laundry service is available but there are few things missing like: slippers, bathrobes, iron and kettle with tea - if you compare stars with "old continent"

Magnificent view of Funchal, mountains and sea. The best 4 course dinner. Outdoor pool in a great location. Spacious open area. Nice people who help to make your holiday memorable with love.

Third - infrastructure, two swimming pools, indoor one is very warm, hot tube (jacuzzi), small gym (fitness rather) and saunas, squash, tennis and massages available for extra fee

We had 2+1 room with a lot of space, lovely bathroom, flat tv (many channels in english), hair dryer, air con and locked safe. There are shower gel sachets and soap available in the bathroom

The Porto Santa Maria also has an indoor pool, spa, where you can have a beauty treatment and a gym. WE cant wait to return, at the end of November, for the Christmas lights turn on!

Situated, towards the end of the promenade and in the old town, it's surrounded by many good restaurants, for those who don't want to take advantage of the dinner package provided by the hotel

The pool area leads directly onto the prom and there is a raised area, for a leisurely lunch whilst watching the cruise ships berthing

I loved the location, close to the Botanical Garden cable car and numerous restaurants, the pool area is lovely too

In bed plastic covers under the sheets, as you for children. There are other things to use if you want to protect the madrasses. Bed linen old and washed down. Facilities nice, but to small for all guests

At breakfast, the chef making omelettes and eggs, only used one pan instead of making more omelettes at once? Saving money for the hotel? It made people stand in line for a long time

You are about 30 minutes walk out of Funchal centre in the Lido area so be aware of that and it's not a flat walk in or back to the hotel so if you've got mobility issues you might be using the bus that stops right outside the hotel or use taxi's via the Bolt app as they are reasonably priced

Great staff, special mention for Geraldine, or G, the sports organiser, got lots of people involved, particularly in pool keep fit, due to her endless enthusiasm. Had a lovely, large room with balcony and sea views

Other facilities include great outdoor pool with plenty of sun beds, loungers and pool bar. Indoor pool and gym and sauna and steam room were really nice to use and not busy

Great place to stay in Funcal Madeira. Centrally placed, lots of food options, well presented and very tasty. Half board means one evening meal in the a la carte restaurant, had a lovely evening

So if that is all good for you then this hotel is spot on. Room with a sea view is recommended as it's a bit special. Room is very well equipped with a comfy bed, tea/coffee, fridge etc

Roof top bar, jacuzzi and patio gives a wonderful relaxing view out over the city and out sea. Wow !! We were B&B and breakfast was superb and staff very helpful

It is very soulful here: a large room with a window with small glazing and a frame that slides up. Birds singing - after all, we are in a garden. A bathroom with two sinks and a bath (so tired of uncomfortable showers!)

The receptionist showed us to our room with a smile. In the room, a complimentary bottle of water, coffee, and tea were provided. The garden is very well maintained, and the restaurant staff is very pleasant

This hotel is fabulous! It is unusual to get the whole package in a hotel, but here from reception, waiters, cleaners, bar staff, masseurs, gardeners, absolutely everyone, collectively, were the best we have ever come across

Came back from a day out to a surprise bottle of champagne on ice waiting for my son to celebrate his birthday. Our balcony was huge with an amazing view
