We stayed at the Balchug Hotel for just one day in mid-October. We are glad that among Moscow hotels of this level, our choice fell on the Balchug Kempinski. In a word, it is Quality - both in general and in the smallest details! I would like to note the hotel staff. Absolutely everyone is attentive and friendly! And what is important - with a great sense of humor! Reception, bar, breakfast, maids...

I had a great stay there at the hotel.. The staff are so friendly and we didn’t have difficulty in communicating with them as they are fluent in English.. The location is close to the red square by 10 minutes of walk.. Also, i lost my rings at the hotel but they kept them there for me, it’s because of their integrity.. Thanks a lot!

Rooms are not vacuumed daily. Staff do not speak English which is a problem specially at the restaurant as we got sick twice from food allergy.

Booked a luxury deluxe room, they upgraded us to suite 805, this room has to be the best hotel room, or any appartments in Moscow. The room was on the highest level, and overlooked every Moscow attraction, the Kremlin, St Basils, Red Square, cathedral of Christ the saviour, 3 of Stalin sisters, and many more, what a great place to finish our holiday in Russia. I had a terrible experience at this 5 star hotel. They refused to refund my security deposit, falsely claiming I had unpaid restaurant bills even though I paid everything during my stay. My headphones went missing from the room. After many calls, staff finally found them — with no explanation and no apology. Housekeeping was also subpar: dirty cups and used towels were often left behind after cleaning. For a 5-star hotel, this lack of accountability and attention to detail is unacceptable. Building looks very good from outside

Mostly what you expect from a 5 star hotel. A huge thank you to the lady at the pool called Zara. She caught my girlfriend when she almost slipped and fell such a quick reaction. Later, she also tried to help us find a swimsuit for her, though sadly her size wasn't available. Very responsive and kind.

The location is excellent, a 2-3 minute walk to Kazan Cathedral, about a 10-minute walk to the Winter Palace, and a 15-20 minute walk to the Mariinsky Hotel. The dome of Kazan Cathedral is visible from the hotel entrance. Overall, the location is very good.
