The location is a bit out of the way, but many of our compatriots stay here. There are banks, a shopping mall, and breakfast places nearby. Nevsky Prospekt is just a short walk (about 3-5 minutes) out of the alley, so it's a quiet retreat in a bustling area.

You have to wait until after 3 PM to check in. The room was tiny; if you're a bit on the larger side, you might get stuck trying to get through the entrance. The breakfast selection was also quite limited. On the plus side, it's fairly close to Nevsky Prospekt.

THERE WAS NO A/C. And the staff was always saying they will fix it and nothing was fix. Is ridiculous to stay in a 240$ night per room when the A/C did not work. And the reception staff was very unhelpful. I try to talk to the administrator and it never came out of her office.

The location is excellent, a 2-3 minute walk to Kazan Cathedral, about a 10-minute walk to the Winter Palace, and a 15-20 minute walk to the Mariinsky Hotel. A very boring hotel with no windows. It has no lobby, and there are no windows at breakfast, only a dirty glass roof. The rooms are very gray, boring, and empty. Like a cave. Stayed there for World Cup Russia 2018. Very chic , classy and classic hotel. Rooms where super clean and spacious. Breakfast was exceptional. Very nice experience.
