Hotel Sumadija in Belgrade

We stayed at Hotel Sumadija as a group of 15 people for one night.
During dinner, the waiters behaved very rudely — they were literally slamming the plates onto the table. It felt as if they didn’t even want to serve us.
Additionally, the meatballs were extremely dry, and they served plain, dry potatoes alongside.

I have found a cockroach in my bedroom!! Plus, in this hotel there is a lot of garbage! Also, the air conditioner is always on hot despite the temperature outside, and the walls are all broken. Do not go in this hotel I just gave my money for what? This disgusting hotel.

Stayed here for a night returning home from a school trip.
Breakfas/lunch area was completely overwhelmed and food quality was lacking.
Rooms were ok but there was no warm water, the internet connection was unstable the bathroom had no ventilation so to clear any smells you have to open one of the main windows and the bathroom door. Staff was
ehh.
Cheap per night stay but I would personally prefer staying somewhere better even if that place was further away from the city centre

I read some other reviews and I have realized that me and my friend are staying in one of the refurbished rooms with working ac but, there are holes in the walls. Also the staff is apparently racist I will edit this tomorrow and see how they treat one of my black classmates.

I will try to write an objective review for this hotel. I say this because we can’t really say that Serbians are fond of Turks, and the staff at this hotel is a prime example of that. They were rude and unfriendly. The WiFi was problematic, and the room was cold, so I tried to turn on the air conditioner, but it didn’t work. The rooms lacked basic amenities like small shower gels or soaps, and when I pointed this out, they responded rudely and dismissively, especially towards Turkish guests. I believe hotel receptionists should treat every guest with a smile, regardless of their nationality, but... well. Putting that aside, the breakfast was quite varied, and the rooms were decent and clean. Normally, I would rate this place 3 stars, but because of the staff's attitude, I’m giving it 1 star. I’m sorry, but I won’t be coming back or recommending this place. My suggestion to the hotel: change your staff!
