There is no reason not to visit this beautiful, heritage hotel. The hotel is in High Tatra, whichever direction you are going to take, you can find a hiking track into the mountain. i loved the hotel :) great location, many hikes are possible around there and the views are just amazing. we stayed at the hotel in September and we got some sunny days and it was definitely not too cold. the spa area is nice, sometimes maybe a bit too crowded but i enjoyed everyday.

We booked this hotel for our trip across Slovakia specifically because on their website they tout their restaurant as absolutely gourmet fun with the finest delicacies from their chef. The hotel far exceeded our expectations. I have never encountered such impeccable staff. They are well-dressed, kind, and fully focused on their work. The restaurant is fantastic, and the food is prepared to perfection! The wellness area is also excellent! The elegance, cleanliness, and staff of the hotel are truly exemplary!

Nice view from the room, but room itself was very small and very warm, we asked 3x for lower temperature level, breakfast food was just an average. Small nice sauna zone is available based on previous booking.

We stayed in an apartament for two nights and it was really nice. You get everything you need for making breakfast, a fridge, a pan, dishes. Also you have a terrace where you can enjoy coffee or a glass of wine. What's missing is a dishwasher, but as the kitchen is small i can see why there is none. The hotel architecture, halls of master pieces, the dining was top, lastly the patio faces the gorgeous High Tatra Mountains.

Comfy, if a bit run down and bitten by the tooth of time. If I remember correctly, it's been 11 years since the last renovation, and the place yearns for another one.

The landscape is very nice, breakfast and dinner have many options, the rooms are clean. Note: the wellness area is superb - both the pool and the two saunas are worth seeing. The reception staff does not speak English, there is no hair dryer in the room. If the wellness are does not exist, the quality-price ratio is not convenient.

Hotel well located on the main road and close to the ski slopes. If you take a shortcut through the parking lots it is very close to ski lifts - within short walk distance. This ex-ROH style of accommodation is actually very practical with kids. Rooms are not fancy but everything is clean and tidy. Food is buffet style, and we like it very much. Kids have their own little playroom. There is wellness area, good for relax after skiing. My wife gets massage almost every day, not pricy and excellent. Above all, we like the personnel very much.

We had a wedding here in the middle of summer and I have to say that everything was perfect. From the organization, to the service, the rooms, the decoration, the children's corner, the animators, the sound system to the location of the Stará Lesná hotel, where it was a pleasant 25°C in the middle of summer. The food is very good. We liked the saunas, spas, and resting rooms around the spa/pool complex. The location near a forest with walking trails and the mountain view is spectacular.

We were very satisfied with accommodation in chalet in Hotel Horizont in Stara Lesna. Tehere was big living room with kitchen and dining table, 3 bathrooms, 3 big rooms with stunnig view on High Tatras. Quiet, nice and clean apartment house 100 metres from the railway station platforms - the best location in Tatranská Lomnica, especially if you plan to get around by train. The breakfast in nearby Vila Beatrice is fresh and has many options.

The accommodation is huge, comfortable, clean and well equipped. The location is great, the surrand is brilliant side of the High Tatra mountain. The staff are kind and flexible. it was possible to occupy the apartment before check-in time. The breakfast is continental, lot of kinds, has local food. Valuable and recommended.

Very nice place with clean, spacious rooms and delicious food. Personally, I would like to emphasise the quality of the service and the very friendly staff that fulfilled all our wishes. For us, it was the pet-friendliness of the hotel that was the reason for booking. The rooms are nice and spacious with a lovely large balcony. The location is great, very close to the lifts that take you up the mountains. The hotel also has an excellent restaurant. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

Rooms , people are okay! But the toilets are clogging and bathroom is stinking. No one present in reception in the mornings. I asked the mountain view room but what I got not expected.Very expensive but room was not upto the par. I have paod same amount as Holiday Inn in Paris but I was literally unhappy about the room

Team is very nice, service is great, tasty food and coffee, location very easy to all directions (supermarket, cablecar, lake...) shared room is good, but I put one less star for a small things and maybe as an idea for the future: put some hooks inside the bathrooms, hang on the curtain for each bed for the better privacy.
