We had a wedding here in the middle of summer and I have to say that everything was perfect. From the organization, to the service, the rooms, the decoration, the children's corner, the animators, the sound system to the location of the Stará Lesná hotel, where it was a pleasant 25°C in the middle of summer. Thank you. 😊❤️

Nice hotel with great wellness area, exclusive suite was spacious room. Unfortunatelly the meals provided are below average and its taste varies hugely from day to day. In our case 2 out of 5 days the food was good, the other 3 days was merely edible. Also, the service in the restaurant is nothing but chaos, where everyone is doing everything. There is total lack of experience (e.g. Question: What white wine you have? Answer: Dry.) Drinks have to be ordered separatelly, not even water is provided. Absolut killer for me, there is no coffee machine in the room, you can get coffee at 7am at the earliest, when the breakfast starts. Lobby bar is closed until 9am. Overall good stay, I would come back, but no wow effect and no sentiment. The girls and ladies at the reception desk (lobby, not wellness) are great and very helpfull.

Good base in the Tatra mountains We enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at the hotel, full of comfort, good food and relaxation. The hotel is located at the foothills of the Tatras mountains, fantastic location for hiking and enjoying the beautiful scenery. You can walk to the nearby town of Tatranska Lomnica through the forest in about 20-30 minutes. The Tatra electric railway (TEŽ) station Stara Lesna is a 16 minute walk from the hotel and you can access all the stops along the Skalnate Pleso lift stations for just €4 for a 24 hour pass. Rooms are small, but comfortable, we had a beautiful view of the mountains (ask for a Mountain View on check-in) Nice bathrooms and the spa is definitely the highlight along with the VIP Sky lounge although this is an extra fee. The wellness opening hours worked for us as we were out all day then could enjoy the spa in the evening but in the summer you may struggle to use the facilities. Onto a very big positive.....we enjoyed the buffet-style breakfast and dinners and the quality of the food was excellent. Some great choices and food selection for people with dietary requirements. Staff were all so nice and helpful. Overall a great hotel, however small details that could make it better: such as internet availability. The wifi always disconnects and you needed to keep opening a browser and log in again and again. The coffee at breakfast could be a lot better, maybe some hot milk could be available for the machine use. Also opening hours of wellness centre could be better as you don't have much time to use it if you're on trip during the day, using the pool first thing would be great and longer onto the evening. We loved it :) thank you x

The only thing I did not like about it is that you need to pay 80 Euros to use hot tub every time , plus dress code to go to dinner .

The food is very good. We liked the saunas, spas, and resting rooms around the spa/pool complex. The location near a forest with walking trails and the mountain view is spectacular.

We were very satisfied with accommodation in chalet in Hotel Horizont in Stara Lesna. Tehere was big living room with kitchen and dining table, 3 bathrooms, 3 big rooms with stunnig view on High Tatras. Wellness was pretty good, but what was perfect is swimming pool with 33 Celzium temperature. Kids didn’t want to leave the pool. Breakfast and dinner were good, variety of food sufficient. I would welcome more deserts.
