Globales Almirante Farragut Hotel in Cala'N Blanes

We stayed here in September for a week and it was fantastic. The all inclusive buffet was good and had a nice variety across the week, and the included drinks were enough to enjoy. The room was lovely with a great view of the local area and sea. We had no issues with the service and the staff were friendly. The pool was nice, although a little small for my liking, hence the 4 star review. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and would recommend.

Excellent hotel with friendly helpful staff. Plenty of choice at meal times. Beautiful sea views from balcony.

Had a great weeks all inclusive holiday with my family here. Very good food and drink selection. Good pool and sports on site. Would recommend.

Staff efficient but not overly friendly, food was very good and to a fairly high standard but could be repetitive especially at breakfast. Activities not particularly encouraged, the staff seemed more comfortable with French guests sadly. A bar staff member called Pilar was fabulous and had a small chat and smiles which was lovely, drink quality was a bit low the Baileys equivalent was yellow and not really a patch on it, others werent bad if you are looking for a hangover it will only be the wine that gets you there. One problem we had was they wanted 10 euros to borrow the beach towels, I wanted to pay by card and was unable too also you couldn't change it if it got dirty I think it was different rules to the Bouganvilla hotel Globales had. Cleanliness was pretty 5 star apart from a chocolate smear mark we had on the door of our unit it did aggravate me but in turn I didn't point it out...Entertainment staff member started an activity will lots of French guests right next to where we were sitting, instead of acknowledging us and saying this is going to be loud he just shouted and ignored us really rude, he could of said you may like to relocate elsewhere. Overall we liked the food, we loved the beach area, and the pretty winding viewing areas as you walk down You have to be fairly fit and stable to cope with rocky areas and steps. Very rustic and pretty that was highlight for me.

From the moment we arrived until the day we left we loved every minute of our stay at this spotlessly clean hotel couldn't fault it at all staff work hard and always friendly ....the position of the hotel is so picturesque and naturally beautiful....the pool is lovely and all the area around so well kept .The all inclusive food was of a good quality as most all inclusive a little repetitive but really enjoyed all we had ,also the snack bar food was good .We would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to visiting again . Its been probably 25 years since i first stepped into this hotel with my parents and i came here this summer as a parent myself. I don’t know many hotels this big that have managed to keep such a nice “be at home” feeling. From
the maitre, to waiters, animation stuff, they have been working here for over 30 years and they are so happy to see you again. Food is balanced and varied, even themed, and you have your own access to the beach and mini golf. The views are amazing, you can practice any sport you can imagine (theres courts). Please don’t change. Highly recommend

A honest review the negatives first.
A real rush at dinner times in the all inclusive! Dinner times start at 7.30 so everyone wants to eat at the same time, we felt a tad stressed but arriving later you then had to queue on occasions.
The cocktail list was disappointing very little choice and poor quality.
And oddly the toilets downstairs are tiny! I'm not that big but a size 10 would struggle?!
Cash machine at the hotel is expensive and poor rate so take euros
Positives
The hotel and views are beautiful the pictures really dont do it justice.
The sea is really clean and we have never seen so many fish!
The hotel rooms are exceptionally clean and well looked after.
The food was ok and as expected, it's all inclusive and we found plenty to eat every day.
Lots and lots of sunbeds hurray!! Never a problem even though the hotel was full.
You can extend your last day room hire till later in the day at a reasonable rate.
Beach towel hire 10 euros plus 1e everytime you change your towel.
Other information
Lots of resturants 5 min walk away, we ate at the Chinese I think it was called oriental and it was lovely, the Indian is amazing apparently but they were fully booked so go early or late to eat. A few bars and supermarkets were worth a look around.
We took a taxi into Ciutadella about 10 euros each way. It was a lovely place , lots of shops and we went to a tapas called Maramao and it was honestly amazing! Well hadnt booked but the did find us a table inside, it was a different take on tapas and the staff were lovely. Lots of places to stop for coffee. We went late afternoon.
Would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Just been for a week all inclusive. The hotel is in a beautiful location. Rooms are stunning, great views and very clean - the cleaning staff are lovely. The location is good, cove is beautiful, pool clean and plenty of sunbeds. The hotel runs really well, well managed.
Food is quite repetitive and not the best (especially breakfast, no pancakes either!) but there’s always something you can eat. They did themed nights in the restaurant. If you want to eat out there’s lots of restaurants nearby and the bus to Cuitadella is less than €2, or €12 in a taxi. They have activities on every day by the pool and some kind of show in the evening.
The only thing that let it down were the restaurant and reception staff. No real welcome on arrival and the restaurant staff just always seemed annoyed. The staff on the bar etc were nice though.
Overall it is a lovely hotel and would still recommend because of the quality.

Just arrived home after a wonderful week with our family of 8. The hotel was excellent, the food was healthy and fresh,yes we did miss a roast lol. Thank you for the 6.30 early departure breakfast. Entertainment, sadly, not quite the best,but there are options locally. The room was perfect. We had a housekeeper when we expected, The only point lost was for the pool cleaning! Yes, we were fully aware of the cleaning process, but it was too early, our last day the bigger pool was closed at 16.30! Smaller pool then filled like a hot tub lol. It would have been nice to see a display board suggesting drainage time. People could then plan their swim accordingly. An hour would have made no difference to the result.
