The mattresses were terribly bad, we sank into them. Food was overall ok but not a single decent piece of meat, not even a chicken was edible. Chewy and yuk. Prawns were good, deserts were good. Snack bar, well... If you do not have high expectations and are ok with chips, salads and ice-cream only, then you are going to like it. We didn't. Evening entertainment....it was lame to be fair. It is better...
All good except entertainment team which was not very good at letting guests know whats happening when and what's next. There are boards which you have to check yourself if you are interested in any activities. Communication is a key ;) also prices at the shops are a little bit rediculous so if you need anything - there is a little town near by. Take a taxi and go there ;)food was ok.sometimes some...
Simply put, I was disappointed by the ladies and gentlemen who organize Extra Adventures, dressed up in TUI clothing, because they don't even know what time the Kids Club opens. Yet they still sold me something, even though they knew I wanted to take my 5-year-old to the Kids Club at that time, while I wanted to go jet-skiing with my 11-year-old—but the Kids Club closed at 9 a.m. I also booked a car...
Amazing place, where everyone can find something interesting! Multiple swimming pools suitable for adults and children. Plenty of space, clear and clean water, variable depths and bar with drinks and snacks right in the middle! Food Hall with a HUGE ‼️ selection of tasty and fresh food. Every day they serve different food for lunch and dinner but also offer some regular dishes such as pizza and pasta...
Very nice and clean hotel. Only downside was I booked a room with a king bed but they gave us a room with 2 single beds. I did not complain but my mattress was ready to go to bin ! Husband’s was ok tho. Overall we enjoyed our stay
It was a great holiday with my family. The hotel is very good and the food was fantastic – always fresh and with a lot of variety, including options for children. A beautiful beach is located very close to the hotel, perfect for morning walks and swimming. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. There were also fun activities for both kids and adults. We truly...

Don't know how people can complain about this hotel or the staff. Just got back from a 9 night stay and thought everything was fabulous. Yes the rooms are bit dated but who goes on holiday to spend time in the room ? The bed and pillows were comfy and the sea view was lovely. There was a lot of choice in the restaurant. If anyone complains about the food then they must be ultra fussy. My hubby is a...
We had such a nice holiday in the hotel. Paid for all-inclusive which gives you everything you want... beach bar, snack bar all day along. Nice pools, lots of sunbeds... and if you want to be far from everything, just go down the golden sandy Jandia beach where you can relax by yourself. [The beach is huge] We wanted to say bye to "our" cleaner lady but she wasn't there on our last day, so.... thank...
Firstly, I have read recent reviews and agree this hotel shouldn’t be listed as a 4star, as it is a 3star at best a 3star+. The hotel needs some serious money spending on it before it can call itself a 4star. The hotel pool area whilst nice is in need of some TLC…tiles need grouting/repair, wood needs painting, bridge to pool bar feels like at any point you may fall through and into the pool. We were...
Our stay at this hotel was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and relaxed. The hotel itself is beautiful and spotless, and the surroundings are simply breathtaking. Every meal was a delight, and the staff were unbelievably friendly, always making us feel special. Waking up to the unforgettable views of the ocean and the sparkling azure water was like a dream. These were...
Stayed here for a week September 2025. Firstly it's not a 4 star hotel. 3 or 3+ at best. What could be 4* is if you upgrade to Royal level which costs 30€ pppd. When you look on the travel agents web sites photos of the hotel, it's pics from this part of the hotel they share. Which is a little bit devious. Also it states there are 2 restaurants to choose from, but only if you upgrade otherwise it's...

We spent one week at Occidental Jandía Mar on an all-inclusive basis, and overall we were very satisfied with our stay. The food selection was varied every day, with plenty of options to choose from, so it was easy to find something different at each meal. The all-inclusive package was absolutely worth it and made the holiday very comfortable and stress-free. The staff were extremely friendly, kind...
Great entertainment with AMAZING animation team, great at getting everyone involved and magical. Dress up at night time, and good pool. Really bad location, to get to the beach it’s a long long walk downhill and awful walk up the hill. It’s a very pretty beach but we only went two times because of the awful location. The atmosphere is great with good music and entertainment, fun at night time and...
Our week at the hotel was really nice. Of course because of the weather, but mostly because of the staff. Particularly the 2 men at the snackbar by the pool. The one that cooks everything at the snackbar is Mamadou, he greets you every day with a smile and is very kind. I don’t know the name of the other guy, but he was also so lovely everyday. They definitely made our experience better.
Having paid for a seaview upgrade and requested top floor we got one of the poorest views of the complex on the 2nd floor, as it was my friends birthday, a bit dissapointing. Facilities and food were up to standard, so we did enjoy our stay....
The sound isolation was super bad and I could even hear the click sound of next door playing Duolingo. It was also easy to hear them talk although their voice wasn’t high. They also asked for €20 cash deposit pp to borrow beach towels. They didn’t accept any other form of deposit like passport or credit cards.
The hotel is a nice hotel. Extremely big, the rooms are nice, the beds are comfortable, with a fair night's sleep. There is no air conditioning, just a noisy fan. The food is quite disappointing, there is a large choice but less than typical all inclusive. The hotel food was bearly warm on every occasion I visited the restaurant, this includes breakfast. Its a real shame because the food was...

Great food at the buffet. Star prestige room was great with great view. Star prestige pool area with drinks and snacks was great. Staff are all extremely friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain about at all!
Staff is very nice, felt very welcoming. Everyone is keep checking on you to make sure you are fine, especially Abou. Hotel is so beautiful and kept clean. Only one things, toilet next to the main restaurant smell really bad, seems like there is problem with drain or something else. When this smell mixed up with cleaning products it was hard to breath in there. Definitely need to sort it out. Also...
This hotel is great to take some rest and re-charge your batteries. The food is excellent: how they manage to achieve this level of quality in a buffet type restaurant - it’s an achievement. Same quality standard goes for the drinks: almost all premium brands. Staff is helpful and friendly. Great experience.
We had an absolutely amazing stay at this resort! My wife and I were thrilled with every part of our experience. The food was fantastic — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented at every meal. If you want to eat at one of the restaurants outside of the buffet, make sure you reserve well in advance as they fill up quickly. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with...
Aliou is a fantastic waiter always their to wait on you , great personality makes everyone’s holiday, the food is outstanding best ever all inclusive we’ve been to the staff can’t do enough for you nothing is a problem, you can literally have anything you want , I would highly recommend this hotel their is only 1 downside you can’t book the Japanese restaurant you have to wait till 12am in the morning...
Great hotel! This is our third time here and we're thrilled! The standard is very high, the food is excellent, and the cleanliness is top-notch! Plus, the drinks are great and Mr. Alipu is very nice – he has a great sense of humor and is very kind. We come back every two years, and I'm sure we'll be back again in two years!

Our stay was very comfortable. Ther food was very good and the entertainment was fun. My wife and I enjoyed the water aerobics class, the beach, and we did the Adult Sauna daily. We mostly enjoyed to time (at 1815) when the person did the scented oils on the heat and used a towel and a huge fan to move the air around the sauna. Very refreshing. We let our bodies absorb the fragrances after. We truly...
We are coming since several years and unfortunately they quality of the food is going down every year. This year, for our entire stay the machine for fresh orange juice was out of order, during main season. Instead the staff had the mix boxed juice with fresh smoothies... This can be done better.
Apart of mosquito killers and on screen cover band killing evening entertainment, perfect stay! Sorry but after dinner tonight I can't give you less!
We cannot count any more how many times we have been here. It is always like coming home for us. We love this place and enjoyed an exceptional Easter holiday. Everything was outstanding. Great food, great entertainment for all age groups, great sports activities. It is always hard to leave this paradise like place.
The Robinson Club is nice, but unfortunately, the watersports offerings have deteriorated. The head of the base is unfriendly and lazy. Ultimately, his focus is on preserving his equipment and selling courses to the guests. He doesn’t let guests who know how to handle the equipment go out on the water as soon as there’s a bit of wind. For us, this was a dealbreaker. Even complaining to the club management...
This was the second time we’ve been to a Robinson resort and this didn’t disappoint. The setting was fantastic as were the facilities. The site is on a hill above a very nice sandy beach (probably the best that I’ve seen in the canaries). There were some mixed reviews on rooms but we found them to be very clean and pretty modern - Probably not as good as some 5* resorts but far better than we expected...

Great hotel, with fabulous buffet and friendly staff. Wonderful superior sea view room. Air conditioning could have been a little cooler as we had a heat wave and it did get rather hot. Great place The staff was very professional and in our demand. The place is splendid and heavenly, the rooms were very neat and clean
We liked the size of the hotel and room, the overall cleanliness, the pools were nice and clean too, beach access was handy, courtesy room facility, friendly and polyglot staff. We'd have preferred more fresh fruit and fresh homemade juices for breakfast. The partial sea view was nice apart from the derelict area adjacent the property that our room was facing.

I spend a nice time in this club, The service from the workers is excelent , flor sure my plan is come back as soon as possible to this place!
The best hotel in Fuerteventura, the restaurant service is fantastic. Without a doubt, the best thing is the pool bar, with a wide variety of drinks, and the staff is unbeatable. The best latte macchiato I've ever had there. We'll definitely be back.
Excellent experience, especially at the pool bar and restaurant. They always serve you with a smile and offer everything you need. We'll definitely be back.
I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I arrived. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The location was perfect—right next to the beautiful beach and close to great restaurants and attractions. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.
Overall it was 5/5 experience at the hotel, the staff are all great and the shows are increbile you can see they put a lot of work to it. The bartenders are magnificent they seem to enjoy working with each other, the look like a family. Abian was the best, that guy deserves a raise.

Location Couldnt fault. The hotel itself is superbly located next to a beach which is accessible via a 2min walk out of the hotel (more easily accessible to Star Prestige guests (which we were) via a card-accessible electronic door between the hotel and beach. My family and I (including a 14 yr old and a 17 year old) stayed for a week during the summer holidays. The hotel, the staff, the food and drink, amenities and location were all 100% perfect for us. Good location, good food, good pool, very cold water for the time of year
I found it great for exactly what I needed on a solo break
Excellent property, great location and facilities.
We went in UK Feb half term. Great location for winter sun!! Hotel is not 4 star. But that's because they do have a staff shortage problem in busy holiday times, its a big hotel many people including large families. Staff do their best. I think it's not helped by tourists leaving their food and mess. At least try and create less work in busy times! For the price, you do get what you pay for. I think...
The hotel staff are very friendly. Rooms are spacious and clean. But location is very far from the airport so you should definitely plan and book your transportation in advance. If not taxi price is over a hundred euros. Food is cold and drinks at the bar are done in a rush, I assume lack of staff. Definitely not a four star resort

A huge bonus of staying here is the location. It's the best of all the hotels in the area with a side gate directly from the hotel on to the beach road where it's a short walk to the beach. It's a smallish hotel which felt quite intimate and meant it was never far to go back to the room for anything. For...
We stayed at the Altamarena Hotel in Morro Jable for two weeks over Christmas and New Year and had a mixed experience. The positives: The hotel’s location is excellent — it’s right near a beautiful sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds available for hire (€15 for two beds and an umbrella), which we felt was very reasonable. The beach itself is lovely and well looked after, with several beach bars nearby...

This hotel seems to attract chain smoking middle aged Germans and everything is targeted at this clientele - the food, entertainment and very low energy, low enthusiasm daytime activities. Visited in September 2022 as well as this year. It is not often that returning somewhere actually gives a better impression than what you remember, but this was certainly true here. Maybe the change from a 2nd floor room to the right of reception to 3rd floor in the main block overlooking the pool helped but I certainly hope to return in September 2025.
Stayed for a week in September and the hotel is spotlessly clean, room service every day with fresh linen and towels should you wish. The location is OK with easy access to the beach via a boardwalk past the lighthouse and a five/ten minute walk into the town centre for shops and bars. We booked a suite and this was great with plenty of room, unfortunately our room was located on the lower floor which...

We stayed for 10 days in February. Loved it. Great location spotlessly clean staff were so helpful and friendly. Maybe evening entertainment could be improved some nights but otherwise couldn’t fault it.
Our 10th year in the Calypso. The hotel refurbishment was amazing, so much changed in such a short time. Downsides: No hot tub, Television in ridiculous dominating position in the bedroom room. Especially, being British there were no channels we could watch, and the link to Netflix didn't work. Miss the bar on the ground floor. There is now only one bar you can actually visit. Really believe a bar...
Hotel is lovely, fabulous room and balcony. Could do with an umbrella but with the wind probably not practical. Spotless and the cleanest general toilets I have ever seen. The bar in the foyer being open more hours. Staff are lovely and friendly and very obliging and obviously enjoy working there. Food fine but could have done with a bit more variety but a lovely break in January.
I so wanted to rate this 5 Stars but for me 5 Stars means it was a faultless holiday which it was not. The positives are. Staff As always Riu staff at the hotel were fantastic especially Juan Jose who went above and beyond in trying to help. Food The quality and variety of food was the high standards expected from the Riu chain. Location With the beach so close the location is perfect going downhill...
After finally getting off the coach from the airport a 2 1/4 hour journey stopping at 10 hotels before ours( thanks TUI), we were checked in quite quickly by a rather rude, abrupt German lady. Our room was nice in a typical Riu way, nice comfy bed, nice bathroom, balcony with 2 sunloungers and 2 chairs, a fridge and tv. Now the confused part, this is a half board hotel which is more or less the same...

We have been staying at this hotel since 2017 and return annually during January. Although it is one of the furthest locations from the airport we like the area, the hotel and the beach. Standards of food etc have stayed the same but some loss of previous RIU privileges...
We are just home from a week in this fabulous hotel. We had never been to the Canaries before and this place can be recommended with total confidence for couples in the 50+ bracket. Lots and lots of steps, so not suitable for everyone. I would have liked the very brights lights in the dining room dimmed for the evening meal, it would have been a nicer atmosphere
We are currently staying at the RIU Palace in Jandia - our first time at the hotel and, overall, we have been very impressed. The location is fabulous, right next to what must be the best beach in the Canaries. The view from our Sea View room is probably the best we have ever had and the evening sunsets are amazing. Lovely staff, modern public areas and close to beach. In need of a la carte dining and catering for more then German speakers
Amazing hotel with brilliant staff, entertainment for every age group, lovely food, clean and spacious rooms. The distance to the beach is 3 minutes. The special shout out goes to Kati, Eugenio, Mendez and Cristian. The hotel serves the food literally all day long. Reception is open 24h, cash machine in place. Evening entertainment was brilliant and the same as day activities. This hotel should be rated...
Lovely hotel and staff are amazing especially Jessica the guest relations manager and we had an amazing receptionist & bell boy who greeted us on Sunday 18th. Id highly recommend the hotel for a relaxed family break.
We stayed 29th Dec - 2nd Jan: our first time away for NYE. I wasn’t sure what to expect having only ever done AI before in the Maldives and Ikos. I knew I couldn’t expect the same from a 4 star hotel, but it turned out to be a great option for us as a short-haul winter break. I’m not a fan of buffets, but the food here is very good. The wine and beer were drinkable and you just help yourself. By the...
We really enjoyed the stay in this hotel. Friendly staff, especially Pablo & Alina (Animateurs), amazing selection of food and excellent & various evening entertainment. The cleanliness of the hotel was exceptional. Great children entertainment.
I am really amazed about this hotel and I am really glad I went there. Espacially Nano made our vacations the best ever. The staff was great and helped where ever they could. The biggest reason of coming back is Nano and we really miss him and the time he played with us. Great time.

Just back from a fabulous week, everything about this place was lovely especially the food, so much so I had to buy some elsticated waist trousers! We are in the process of booking for next year the peace and quiet were just what the doctor ordered, if you like to party this really isn’t the place for you, if you like good food, relaxation and Bombay Sapphire this is the place for you 😊
Pros Hotel had really lovely views of the sea and Jandia beach Deluxe sea view suite amazing with huge terrace Beach approx 10min walk from hotel Food good and staff friendly and helpful Al a carte (with one themed menu and one chefs suggestions) restaurant really nice and highly recommended Nice grounds Big hotel with lots of space and room (had whole Terrace virtually to ourselves on occasions...
This was our second visit, and despite the overall experience was as good as last time, there are definitely a few areas for improvement. Firstly the negatives … The coffee/tea facilities in the room are very basic - a kettle, a few tea bags and 4 sachets of poor quality coffee. We had to ring reception on an almost daily basis to get the coffee and milk replenished, often having to call three...
The Occidental jandia playa is very very dated. Needs lots of investment. We stayed in the Royal Level. The room number was 109. It was very dated. The corridor outside was the noisiest I have ver experienced in a hotel. It was long and the floor tiled. So when the staff were pushing their trollies along at 7 am it sounded like thunder! Also the air con was one of the poorest I have ever experienced...
Just got back from Royal Level. We checked in online using Barceó app which made it teally quick and easy on arrival. Booked deluxe suite with sea view. It was amazing large room with lots of space for clothes. Bathroom was brilliant with shower and whirlpool bath. Room was cleaned daily unless we said not to. Mini bar topped up daily. Royal level had two pools and a jacuzzi. Had to be up for breakfast...
This is our 8th year of coming to this hotel in October. We stayed in the Royal Level which is the adults only section of the hotel. In reception we were initially given room 156, however this room is much smaller than all the others and to be given this room was surprising as we told the receptionist how many times we had visited. We later found out that another regular 2 guests were also given this...

Enjoyed our stay, close to the beach. Only downside is no indoor area to sit at night, just bar outside. Staff lovely. Loved feeding the chipmunks.
Amazing location. 2 mins from an amazing beach. Super friendly staff. Rooms are basic but in line with what you pay. Clean and tidy. Food was basic but full of freshly cooked meat and fish. Limited choice on mains but high quality given the budget. Lots of fresh fruit, salads and veggies. Cannot fault the catering. Would absolutely return for a good value all inclusive break.
My concerns from previous reviews was completely unfounded. Blue Sea Jandia is a gem. We arrived to a warm welcome, water and poolside nibbles at 4pm. Our apartment was exactly as requested and not located on ground floor level. Although agreeing that the furniture is a bit dated it was comfortable and spotlessly clean. The beds were comfortable, cooking facilities (we didn’t use) were perfectly adequate...
Just returned from a 10day stay at Blue sea, we were a little apprehensive after reading some reviews, PLEASE don’t let the bad reviews bother you, if you want 5 star book the RIU hotel opposite Blue sea, but it will cost you £1000 + more for 1 wk H/B not A/I, Blue sea is comfortable, our room was cleaned every day, beds very comfortable, bedding changed after 4 days, clean towels, toilet rolls left...
⸻ We just returned from our trip and overall had a great stay. The hotel is a bit dated and there’s no air conditioning, but the rooms were very clean, which was the most important thing for us. Since we’re usually out all day on holidays, this wasn’t an issue. The biggest plus was the location – just a 5-minute walk to a beautiful sandy beach. You can rent sun loungers with an umbrella for €15 per...
Very basic chilled hotel. There is no entertainment during the day and only once a week in the evening. There is only one small outside bar. The food gets very repetitive with not much choice. The food is cold and has very little flavour. The location is good with lots of shops and restaurants near by. The beach is just across the road and is beautiful. We hired a car which was very reasonable and...
