I honestly don’t understand how this hotel is advertised as a 4-star property - in reality, it barely meets a 1-star standard. The only positive thing I can mention is the location, which is actually quite good. Everything else? A huge disappointment. First shock upon arrival: we were asked to pay a €50 deposit with no proper explanation. Supposedly refundable, but we are still waiting for the money to be returned. Also, you can only pay this deposit by credit card, which makes zero sense and feels unnecessarily restrictive. Now let’s talk about the “all inclusive” because this is where it becomes almost ridiculous. You still have to pay extra for multiple things: cocktail of the day? Paid ice cream? Paid wine during lunch/dinner? Paid So what exactly is included? The facilities are outdated and poorly maintained. One elevator was broken, and the other one looked older than me and felt unsafe to use. Cleanliness is also questionable -in the evenings there are cockroaches literally everywhere around the property. Another serious issue: stray cats wandering around the hotel. I understand some people may find them cute, but these were aggressive. I personally witnessed a cat attack a woman near the pool. This is not acceptable in a hotel of any standard. Food was extremely disappointing. Very repetitive, low quality, and often simply inedible. Soups were tasteless, pizza undercooked, and overall selection very limited. Breakfast was the only somewhat acceptable option because at least you could make a basic sandwich. We paid for all inclusive and ended up eating mostly fries and pizza - that says everything. On top of that, food often ran out. If you came later to breakfast, you had to deal with leftovers and very limited choice. And to make things even worse- even coffee was often unavailable. Imagine staying at a hotel and not being able to get a simple coffee when you want one. Entertainment was also very poor - low effort and clearly targeted at an older audience (mostly 60+). If you’re in your 20s, 30s, or even 40s, this place is absolutely not for you. Reading other reviews now, I can see many guests complaining about the same issues: outdated rooms, poor hygiene, rude or indifferent staff, lack of real all-inclusive value, and overall very low standards. Save your money and go somewhere else. This hotel is simply not worth it.

The room is very noisy, we asked for a garden view and was given a room overlooking a busy road with cars and lorries going past all through the night beeping their horns, The windows are not adequate to stop the noise only stayed here one night and haven't had any sleep, Asked for help at reception, they offered us a move for €50 a night, the customer service is absolutely terrible, think twice before booking especially if you ask for a garden view.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week in Jandía, Fuerteventura. Overall, we had a nice holiday, but there were a few positives and negatives worth mentioning. The hotel itself was very clean and well maintained. The grounds were absolutely impeccable and clearly cared for by hardworking staff. Our room was lovely and the beds were really comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. However, the housekeeping wasn’t the best – our sheets weren’t changed during the entire week, which was a little disappointing. The food was actually very good. As with most all-inclusive hotels it did become a bit repetitive, but everything we tried was tasty and there was always something to eat. The staff throughout the hotel work incredibly hard and most of them were very friendly and welcoming, although some were definitely warmer than others. Entertainment in the evenings was okay but quite limited – it was usually only around two hours per night and not particularly memorable. One thing that might be important for other travellers to know is that the hotel – and much of Jandía in general – is very German-orientated. We didn’t realise this before we arrived. If you’re English and travelling with children, it might not feel like the best fit. We personally enjoy interacting with people and being part of the atmosphere when we travel, and we found that a bit difficult here. That said, the beach is absolutely stunning. We walked for miles along it every day and it was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Morro Jable, which is a short walk away, is also fantastic with some great restaurants and bars. My husband is football-mad, and we managed to find a brilliant place showing the Premier League and Champions League – Buddha Bar near Burger King. The staff there were fantastic, really accommodating, and very friendly. Overall, we had a nice break and enjoyed parts of our stay, but it’s probably not somewhere we would return to. If we came back to Fuerteventura, we would likely choose a different resort that suits us a little better.

Spent two weeks enjoying this really good hotel. Brilliant location, lovely pool area excellent food, drink and entertainment. Before I arrived I read some reviews that concerned me however, had a good experience. Yes the hotel could do will a little up dating but my room was very clean with great beds and nice bathroom. Public area also more than satisfactory. I will be booking again for next year.

A huge bonus of staying here is the location. It's the best of all the hotels in the area with a side gate directly from the hotel on to the beach road where it's a short walk to the beach. The beach is huge, sandy and very clean with sunbeds available and a nice little beach bar. It's a smallish hotel which felt quite intimate and meant it was never far to go back to the room for anything. For the first time for years there were no fights for sunbeds which made such a change. There was always somewhere to set up. The pools were very attractive but unfortunately two of them were so cold no-one could use them. However, this was mitigated by the smaller of the pools being really well heated which was ideal for families and very pleasant. Our room overlooked the road which was a bit of a shame but we accepted that someone has to and it wasn't too unpleasant, quite nice to watch people. Maybe it helped being on the 2nd floor. It was a little small. The shops and bars nearby are great for a wander, it made a change compared to the usual resorts we've stayed in which were more isolated. You can buy the usual seaside tat/souvenirs but they also have some smart shops too which were very reasonable. Food was a bit of a disappointment. We had to make allowances for it being a small hotel but there wasn't a great deal of choice and some of it was not heated properly. Salads particularly were disappointing but that's a personal thing. Some things ran out, you had to time it right if you wanted orange juice or a banana for example (mind you, I did see one lady walk out with 5, you're always going to get people like that). However, the restaurant was run very efficiently, never a problem to find a table, tables cleared and relaid quickly, friendly staff. Having said food was disappointing we thought the pool snack bar was great, always something to snack on and great for children. Sandwiches, nuggets, chips, churros, cakes, fruit.....very good. Bar service great in both bars, never had to wait long. Very happy with self-service wine, beer and soft drinks. Heads up - practice your beer pouring before you come, so many people ended up with a glass of foam 😂. Quality of drinks was good. Entertainment - well we were quite happy, I don't know what some people expect but we thought it was good for a small hotel. The only thing that was a negative was housekeeping, one day our room wasn't touched, another time dirty cups/glasses were left and tea making supplies not replenished and then another day we found a plastic glove left on the side. However, even with the negatives we would return as for us the pros definitely outweighed the cons.

We stayed at the Altamarena Hotel in Morro Jable for two weeks over Christmas and New Year and had a mixed experience. The positives: The hotel’s location is excellent — it’s right near a beautiful sandy beach with plenty of sunbeds available for hire (€15 for two beds and an umbrella), which we felt was very reasonable. The beach itself is lovely and well looked after, with several beach bars nearby, making it a great place to spend the day. The hotel is also conveniently located close to plenty of shops, bars, and restaurants. The staff were all were lovely, friendly, and very helpful. The pool area was also good, with plenty of sunbeds and a pool bar, so it never felt overcrowded. Our room was clean, housekeeping was reliable, and the beds were comfortable, which made for good nights’ sleep. The negatives: Unfortunately, the hotel itself feels quite dated and is in need of redecorating and general modernisation. The food in the restaurant was very repetitive, especially over a two-week stay, and often not hot enough. There is a microwave in the dining room to reheat your food, so they must know the food isn't hot enough. Our first room was on the ground floor near the pools and garden. It was very dark and the air-conditioning didn't work. We asked to be moved, which we did on our second day. We moved to a room overlooking the pool and gardens on the second floor. This was much better. The entertainment was extremely disappointing. It was exactly the same in the second week as the first, with very little variety. The entertainment venue was shabby. The stage was almost non-existent, and if you weren’t sitting right at the front, you missed half of what was going on. This was our first all-inclusive holiday, and sadly, it will also be our last, as it didn’t meet our expectations overall. In summary, Altamarena has a fantastic location and genuinely lovely staff, but the dated facilities, poor food variety, and very weak entertainment let it down.

Good points - great location, Pool and gardens are lovely, Pleasant staff, Bad points- food is really poor quality and reflexes as a 3 star and not 4 star plus kitchen staff don't seem to be capable of manage food amounts needed but then there seems to be a lack of staff in any field within the hotel. The carpets haven't seen a vacuum cleaner in weeks. Dirty glasses left everywhere and no staff to clear up. The bare minimum done in rooms you have to chase after staff for clean towels and bedding. We have been her 8 days and the bed is just about made never mind changed. I have had to go and ask for sheets. Any other hotel does this without you asking. Now the snack bar is nothing short of grim. Paper plates over containers to stop flies getting in on the luke warm food which is supposed to be on hot plates. (hot plates) I'm saying this very loosly. Nothing is warm in dinning room or outside snack bar. If there wasn't a microwave we would not have eaten any of the food. Now unfortunately we are here in Dec and the weather is not great it has rained for 24 hours straight which is not the hotels fault but how they manage the circumstances is, the lobby continues to flood, lack of staff to dry the areas, big danger. The food laid on between meals for all inclusive is apples, ham sandwiches and cake (normally you get pizza or chicken dippers🤢) you have to out in the rain to get a drink. FYI Friday night is steak night, good luck with that one, you better have your own teeth. Lastly we have stayed in many a Lopesan Hotel but this one has obviously slipped through the radar.

We booked with easy jet a Junior Suite and paid a extra £350 as all of the pictures on the website showed a sunny bright room with lovely sea views. The one we were given was over looking a very busy noisy main road. I had to pay a extra 10euros a night to get similar room to pictures shown (with no sea view) .The ones shown are an extra 15 euros. The hotel management were very unhelpful and surly about the problem and easy jet say I should have complained on holiday and they can do nothing about it now Secondly the hotel food was by far the worse we have ever experienced. Poor quality tough pork chops at nearly every meal . Weird salad concoctions containing the night before brussels sprouts and broad beans. It really was the most unappetizing display on food I could go on and how disappointed we were with most things about the hotel but must say the lady who cleaned our room was excellent and the staff friendly and polite
