The sauna itself wasn’t particularly hot (around 65–70°C), but the jacuzzi was excellent, and having a cold plunge pool made it a relaxing and worthwhile experience. The heated beds were a nice touch as well

I’m quite a picky eater, and I don’t say this lightly — it’s worth staying here for the food alone. We also rented bikes from the hotel and had a great ride to the lighthouse — an easy and really enjoyable trip

Service was quick and efficient. At one point, the bathroom door broke — we reported it to reception, and someone came within five minutes and fixed it immediately. That level of responsiveness stood out

Staff across the hotel — reception and guest services — were friendly, helpful, and spoke good English. We were also given a packed lunch for the road, which was a thoughtful extra

Three meals a day with huge variety — meat, fish, vegetarian options, fresh salads, and a very generous dessert selection. Everything was consistently tasty

Paula and Yurii from guest experience were especially helpful with arranging the bikes and setting up the spa. The spa experience was overall very good

Beautiful and well located hotel. We had a relaxing and great stay. Staff is sweet and very polite. They have a wonderful outdoor space with pool and long chairs to enjoy the sun and have a drink

We stayed on the second floor, in room 05. The room is spacious, gorgeous and was spotless. The amenities are great, mini bar is generous on beverage selection, smart tv working perfectly and excellent pressure shower

The staff were all friendly and helpful. For us a major plus was the delightful terrace and pool with chairs and sunloungers where we could relax after sightseeing

Coffee machine and mini bar at the room. The pool area has amazing sunbeds and a lovely pool. The breakfast at La Serena is not great. You can not order any eggs like scramble, fried or an omelet

We much enjoyed our stay in this charming boutique hotel which is very well placed for visiting the sights of this lovely old town. Our room - an Urban Independent - was spacious and well maintained

Happily no competition for these! The hills in Altea are very steep with lots of steps and we were relieved to find that cars can drive right up to the door of La Serena

Traditional old school hotel located close to the heart of Altea. Do not be put off by the run down approach to the hotel. As a family with a disabled son we were greeted by warm friendly staff

Large spacious accessible room on the first floor , but the lift access was a little tight, just be aware if you have a larger type wheelchair. Breakfast a little limited but satisfactory

Absolutely beautiful hotel this is the second time we have stayed here. Staf so friendly can bot do enough for you. Excellent position within walking distance of the square

Breakfast was delicious and the setting outside was beautiful even the music that was played in the background was in fitting with the whole atmosphere

Every member of the hotel staff were particularly caring and went over and above to make us feel comfortable

Lunch and dinner menu was excellent. Overall perfect get away and would definitely use again

Abaco is a boutique hotel, very conveniently located right in the middle of old town and sea front in the beautiful city of Altea. I will write another review for Altea separately

The room we stayed in was a premier room with a jacuzzi in the bedroom and a separate, very spacious bathroom, equipped with a two person shower with two rain showers and two hand held showers, oversized bath sheet towels, medium towels and hand towels

In USA we’re not used to toilet paper holders that actually don’t hold the paper roll in place and falls down at every attempt to take the paper out and also having to turn 180 degrees to get the paper 😂, but that’s a personal quirk I always have

The day we were checking out we requested boxed breakfast at 8:00AM coz we had to leave early but instead they agreed to serve us breakfast in the hotel at 8:20 but without cooked eggs

They bring out tea and coffee on demand, unlike other hotels where you can choose your own from the coffee machine. The also take your order for eggs and toast your choice of bread

We stayed 3 nights in February. The hotel is in a great location , quiet but close to everything. The staff really make the difference here , kind , helpful and friendly

The hotel is in the perfect place between old town and the beach making exploration in Altea a joy, want to go to the beach and restaurants? Leave the door take a single road

Lovely clean room. We were very comfortable here and there are facilities to ale tea/coffee and toast. Right next to the tram station. Really close to the old town and the beach. Highly recommend.

Truly lives up to the name, paradise indeed. Tucked away above Altea Old Town, so peaceful and quiet. Feels like being in Thailand, with beautiful gardens, plants, pool and banana trees full of fruit

This beautiful little hotel is the ultimate hidden gem!! Rooms are beautiful, staff and owners are humble, beautiful people that can’t do enough for you! The gardens are a peaceful hideaway of fruit trees full of bananas, oranges, lemons & avocados with peaceful hammocks to while away the hours 🍋 🍊🍌🥑 Homemade cakes baking in the oven every morning made from all the beautiful fruit!! Breakfast is delicious...

Our room overlooking the pool was beautiful. The whole property is stunning. This hotel was recommended to us by one of our friends. So I am spreading the word too, highly recommended

We stayed 4 nights (21 -25 June) They only have 6 rooms so a very calm and relaxing stay. Elena was so welcoming and accommodating and she made us feel we were at home from the moment we arrived

Amazing breakfast made fresh by Athena- she was so helpful ensuring we had freshly made juice (with fruit from gardens) and the most amazing cake. Amazing sunsets from the garden

Nothing special from the road bit once you get in it's so quirky,bohemian type of feel. There are only 6 rooms,we had one with a huge terrace,we could have had a party

Nice hotel above a busy restaurant, basic but very comfortable room (1st floor with balcony and sea view) on the beach front. Good location for tourists, a short walk to the town centre etc

I asked for room with sea view was comfortable clean and the staff were so helpful. Food was excellent. I cant fault it

This is an old school hotel on the seafront with a good and busy dining room. We had lunch and it was very good. Traditional Spanish, not a place for tourists, you get good properly cooked local food
