5 star hotels in Altea

My husband and I stayed at this wonderful hotel from 1st - 5th February and it was exceptional. All staff are super friendly and attentive going above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The rooms and public areas are spotless and the smell is divine. You will definitely have an incredible experience here. Highly recommend.

Stayed here with wife in Feb. All I can say is this place is amazing. I have stayed all over the world and travel a lot. This may be best experience I have had from a customer service point of view. Paloma was so kind to us from arrival to departure as were all of the staff. Rooms were lovely in my opinion. I would highly recommend this place

We just had lunch here and didn't stay in the hotel although it looks fabulous inside. We sat on the front patio beneath a parasol and food was nice, staff lovely. But there is a tiny traffic island nearby and steep hill, and the Vespa Scooter noise and smell of exhaust was too much for me. It might be ok in the evening.

We had such a lovely and relaxing stay! This hotel is stunning, every feature is so thoughtfully presented. Maria on reception was extremely smiley and helpful. A lovely hotel in a perfect location. Due to it being an old building it does however bring with it both good and not so good aspects. On the positive it’s a beautiful hotel with a laid back vibe to it. However the sound proofing is no existent, fair enough to the outside noice of a town but the internal noise from the kitchen up to the first floor is very disappointing indeed. This is a wonderful hotel with amazing bedrooms and the staff a great. However, for a 5* hotel, the breakfast was barely warm and in some cases cold, this was everyday we stayed there. On our last day I purposely went down for breakfast as soon as it opened but still the cooked breakfast wasn't warm enough to eat. That is a disappointment for a 5*hotel.

The only down part was the dinner. Way to greasy and not yummy at all.

This hotel boasts a high level of style and cleanliness. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the breakfast was delicious and varied, and it's conveniently located just a five-minute walk from the nearest supermarket! The hotel was clean and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff. Overall, a pleasant stay with good service and decent facilities, offering a comfortable and relaxing experience.

Bedroom, staff and breakfast buffet are excellent, dinner buffet could improve. Temperature of dinner buffet food is cold and sometimes sandy. Disappointing.

Fabulous hotel. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff. We were able to keep our room longer on check out day as a Barcelo member, which was great as we had a late evening flight. Had a suite as 3 of us which was perfect.

Beautiful hotel over expansive grounds. There in February on a work conference so not really for pleasure, however the food quality was excellent, attentive and friendly staff and views over Benidorm to the sea were lovely. Great room size with a lounge and verandah. Would like to come back when its warmer.

The cleaniness is hit or miss. The VIP lounge is not worth paying for, lack of food variety. The property has potential to be a four star resort if improvements were made.
