A fabulous place to stay and we would love to return soon. We were very warmly welcomed by Miguel the charming young owner of this small boutique hotel and he and Eric gave excellent recommendations for places to visit. We loved the outdoor terrace of the very well equipped apartment and slept well in the comfortable bed. Breakfast was excellent and well worth having. It was thoughtfully organised with healthy choices and amazing home made cakes including gluten-free ones. Miguel has won awards for being very environmentally friendly and we appreciated this. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return next year. Sanlúcar de Barrameda is an authentic place with mainly Spanish visitors. A trip to Doñanes National Park is worthwhile. Miguel recommended a visit to Bodegas Alonso which was a fabulous private tour and definitely well worthwhile if you are interested in learning about very fine sherry and of course tasting excellent quality samples. This is a lovely small hotel run to a very high standard and with great care and attention for guests. We stayed in the Penthouse Suite which includes a superb separate kitchen and a large private terrace. Highly recommended.

An absolutely superb hotel, with all the facilities you could want. Not only that, but is just a very short walk to the centre. The rooms are splendid, as is the breakfast . It’s a new hotel and with all the modern bits lacking in others:

Everything was first class. We loved the common area by the pool to sit and relax. When we arrived, we received a map and explanation of things to do. When we needed a pharmacy, they directed us to one. While we didn’t take advantage of this, you can purchase food at the Mercado and go to a place really close by where they will cook it for you. The flooding before we arrived prevented us from doing a private trip into Doñana National Park but is was very nice that the hotel arranged it for us in advance. The room and common areas are spotless and the beds very comfortable. Slippers and robes were very much appreciated. It was also nice to have a refrigerator. I highly recommend this hotel.

Looking like a typical Spanish town house from the outside you might even miss this hotel at first glance - but having entered the fabulous wooden door you enter a paradise - calm, quirky, quiet, personal, really friendly and truly surprising. Our experience was magical with a superbly appointed room with a comfortable bed and well equipped bathroom. The staff could not have been more helpful - everything we needed to know was effortlessly provided, and in such a kind and friendly way. We cannot recommend this property enough - it will truly surprise and charm you.

Do not under any circumstances make the huge mistake of thinking that this is a 2-star hotel - it may say so on the front but in everything that matters it is 5-star all the way. The management and their team do everything possible to make sure you have a wonderful time. Check in goes above and beyond with a commentary about everything good about Sanlucar (there is a lot) and also a helpful link to recommended restaurants including the outstanding Casa Bigote. Great central location with the Castle, palace and City Square all within a comfortable 10 minute walk. Also countless Bodegas and opportunities to sample the health enhancing qualities of the local Manzanilla sherry. Breakfast is a joy - food is brought to the table and is top quality including the home-made Granola. The room was comfortable with a rain fall shower - the room was on the 2nd floor and there were no issues with either water pressure or WiFi. If you are coming to Sanlucar then I can’t think of a reason why you wouldn’t stay here….unless it’s fully booked & let’s face it word will get out sooner rather than later. Book now to avoid disappointment

I have just stayed 4 nights at this delightful small hotel on the edge of the old town in Sanlúcar .There has been no expense spared on the modernisation of this hotel.The quality of decor in the the public areas and the well appointed rooms is very high .The check in was good and very informative as to the hotel and the surrounding area with regard to local sights and restaurants.The parking is a short walk and a bit tight but this is no different to any of the hotels in the area.I was that impressed I stayed an extra 2 nights .I am not that keen on pre ordering breakfast but in this case it was worth it as it was exceptionally good with home made granola,lovely pastries and I can’t remember the last time I was given freshly grated tomato for the pan y tomate.I didn’t use the indoor pool but it looks very inviting so maybe next time. I have no hesitation in recommending the Alcoba Hotel

Very nice hotel. We booked a junior suite. Large, comfortable, clean and well appointed with a fantastic bathroom - awesome shower and beautiful stand alone tub. Warm
and attentive service. And great value personalised buffet breakfast with wonderful selection of artesanal pastries. Highly recommend.

We had 3 marvellous days at the hotel and if we return to Sanlucar we would undoubtedly stay at the hotel again. The hotel is charmingly decorated, spotlessly clean, serves delicious breakfasts, is calming and relaxing and well located. What really made the visit for us was the staff - Miguel the General manager and the ladies on reception were the most helpful and friendly that we have ever experienced- I can’t praise them enough and wish to thank them again. With our limited Spanish , they even helped us out of a couple of tight spots when we were stranded and couldn’t get a taxi. Finally, the hotel offers remarkable value for money - those looking for a ‘boutique’ type experience could not do better.
