Breakfast was good value for money.
Our room faced the street and was very noisy; the window seemed faulty and let in all the street noise.
The shower screen leaked, and the shower sealant was black and moldy.
The location is excellent, with all amenities nearby.

Great hotel in a very good location. If you’re there by car or have a rental car, you can park in a very close garage called “Instituto”. 22.50€ per day, but you get a daily 10% discount from the hotel.
Breakfast could’ve been a bit more selection, but all in all it was good. Also a notification: For breakfast you have to choose one of four slots, beginning with 7:00 a.m. and last one possible is 9:15 a.m. - very good system because the breakfast room is not that big.
Personal is very kind and helpful.
We can recommend the hotel and if we come back to Bilbao, we’ll definitely choose Sercotel Ayala again. 😊

Happy with our stay here. Good location, easy walk to the old town and about 15 minutes to the Guggenheim Museum. Our Superior Room was clean and tidy. Front desk staff friendly and helpful.

When I arrived I had an incident with the room that was assigned to me and there was no other room that could be allocated to me or in the conditions. The treatment from the staff when I found out about this was excellent, it was a very friendly and attentive attitude. Really a 10 for all the people who handled the business. I would definitely recommend it, on par with everything else excellent, rooms, food, location etc.

Ideal location, just behind English Court and close to everything. Small but modern hotel, breakfast with everything you need and free tea/coffee machine between meals which is appreciated. Very friendly staff.

The hotel was perfectly located in the heart of Bilbao. The staff were very welcoming, especially Cristina. She is perfect for her position at the front desk. Very helpful and attentive. A real gem! The room was clean and well appointed with everything you need. Despite being in the heart of the city, the hotel was very quiet and the beds were very comfortable. We appreciated being able to leave our luggage at the hotel after checkout so we had a few more hours to explore Bilbao before heading to the airport. We would definitely recommend this hotel to our friends and family.

It's a pretty nice city, and you can walk to almost anywhere. There's the British Palace and a shopping street nearby. It's very clean and the rooms are quite spacious.

A very disappointing experience. The food was very poor. Everything we ordered was either overcooked or just reheated. One particular dish, scallops with ginger, was just a mass of onions with a handful of very poor quality scallops and no ginger. I cannot recommend this restaurant, especially when there are several other highly recommended Chinese restaurants very nearby.

Exemplary food. Despite a meat and fish biased menu, there are some truly outstanding vegetarian options. It’s worth calling a few days before if you want a vegetarian tasting menu.
The service was good and the food very well presented, with a very imaginative dessert menu! One dish to share as a starter (the dishes are very generous!), a main and a dessert each, a bottle of wine, two glasses of champagne and brandy to finish and it was still only €120. Extraordinary value compared to what you’d have paid for fine dining in Madrid or BCN. You can certainly pay less at Bascook by having the set menu. Highly recommended.

Had heard good things about this place and read good reviews. All together at our table we had 6 different dishes, which we all tasted and agreed that they lacked finess and tasting wise was not close to the price level. Also the service was weird with around 4 different people coming by our table and more then once we were asked if we were done with our dishes which was not even close, which kind of gave a stressful feel to the night.
