The overall hotel experience was awful! It was unbelievable dirty and old. Rust and trash everywhere. The staff was rude, nobody bothered to change bedsheets or clean up. The toilet was dirty when i got there and there was trash on the floor that nobody picked up.the door was broken and i had to sleep without locking!they don't provide toilet paper or other amenities and the room walls were so thin you could hear everything. All the drawers had trash in them and there where no closet to hang your clothes!the price i paid for the room was totally unacceptable for that service! Its a dumpster!

Room are small but comfortable.Staff very friendly. Being close to the top of La Rambla is prim location.

Horrible!! They shouldn't have a licence to operate as a hotel!

Dear Toledano owners, for a better understanding my review, - I paid for 4 nights as for 3star hotel and I recieved an incredible small (2x2,5m), moldy, and miserable room with cockroaches (room no 312). It was awful! A nightmare! No one should stay in those conditions!

The staff were friendly and the location was great, however, the cleanliness of the room was not great. The top bedding (for show) was dirty, and not just on one of the beds. Under one bed was a swarm of ants. The sheets underneath looked clean but smelt funny. The reply from the hotel is that it is the smell of the fabric conditioner ... ok! The shower head attachment was broken, upon my review on booking.com, the hotel responded that it is customers who cause this and it takes them a few days to fix. It was broken upon arrival, so I wasn't sure if that response was aimed at myself and my family. The bathroom was mouldy. The shower gel packets were worn away where it looks like they're reused if another customer doesn't want it. Which isn't actually a problem as it is new, however, the hotel have responded they're new for every guest. The TV is tiny for a family room. You could hear everything going on in the reception, however this is to be expected with it being a small one floor hotel. The views of Las Ramblas were great (not good if you don't like heights). Location was brilliant and the staff were friendly.

Paper thin walls, no door insulation. Too much noise not from the street, but from other guests. Staff was nice, but half functioning lift and lack of soundproofing makes this far from perfect. Small Family hotel, just a few very small rooms.

No A/C, just a single cheap dollar store fan to beat the Spanish summer heat. Unbearable heat in that room as of early July, so had to try and sleep with the patio doors open (3d floor). Bustling noises of people in the streets below constant until 1 or 2am. Noisy street cleaners every night around 11:30 or later. Paint peeling off the walls. Bathroom miniscule and enamel peeling off the tub. Barely any room to go to the bathroom. Only power outlet near the bed inoperative. Wi-Fi abysmal and prone to dropping signal (I later find out that this is a problem throughout Spain).
Staff pleasant and knowledgeable of the area, but that isn't enough to save this review. This place needs a major reno to allow for a restful night's sleep before I even consider staying there again. Best part was proximity to Las Ramblas, Catalunya Plaza and Metro. Id consider this more a hostel than a hotel. Toughest 3 days of my family's European vacation. It

Absolutely terrible. Wish I could give 0 stars. The sites pictures and descriptions do not match what you get. I stayed in a room 2x2metres. Literally. But my main problem was the noise. Not from La Ramblas, but from the other guests walking the corridors, the automatic door that closes, and then the Irish people staying there. After complaining to the receptionist he accused me that they were part of my group. I was a solo Traveller. For my first time in Barcelona, next time I will stay in the Gothic Quarter or somewhere that does not rip off tourists like these guys do.

As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. This is a no frills accommodation. Saying that, our rooms were ok, but spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy, a maid cleaned and made the bed. Fresh towels.
So if you want somewhere just to collapse after an hectic day, this is the place for you. But don't forget your kettle. The biggest downfall would be the shared bathroom and toilets.
As for location, it's right at the top of the Ramblas, 100 yards from Catalunya plaza. The Metro and bus links even closer. Outstanding.
Milena
Old but clean, recommended for low-budget overnight stay. The staff is friendly.
Yvette
Absolutely loved this hotel. It's right in the middle of town and close to everything.

Perfect location. Maybe we were lucky but our room was spacious and en suite - room for 4 beds for my family and room to spare - tall and airy with air conditioning which we didn't need as it's November. Lovely little balcony with table and 2 chairs high above Las Ramblas through double glazed french windows which cut out almost all noise. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Nice firm beds. Downsides were no hot drink making facilities - even the machine in reception wasn't working. Also, no lock on the bathroom and decor a bit tatty but these are quibbles on an excellent 3 night city break. Definately 5 stars for this 1 star great value hotel.
