Hotel Niu Barcelona in Barcelona

Ok for what we needed but preferred to stay in other areas of Barcelona

The staff at the hotel were excellent! Very helpful, great to communicate with and knowledgeable. The hotel was in excellent condition. The location was great in terms of walking distance to nearly everywhere we wanted to visit, although it was a bit noisy at night.

We were welcomed with champagne and the staff were very friendly. We arrived early and were allowed early access to our rooms, after a wait in which time they held our luggage for us. We went to the rooftop bar, which had beautiful views and the drinks weren't too expensive, I paid 6,50 for a pint of shandy.
There is a pool, but it's a bit of a gimmick, and we wouldn't have felt comfortable using it with people at the bar.
The room was beautiful, very well cleaned every day and a great design. There is a fridge and a safe which we found really useful. I also used the supplied clothes steamer, which was very helpful. The bed we had was king-size, but felt huge.
We had some noise from outside on the last night at 3 am, as the area around is a bit dodgy in places. But nearby the food is much cheaper, which was very useful for getting breakfast and lunch.
We used the restaurant one night and the food was delicious and really well presented, and not very expensive.
We loved the design and layout of the whole hotel, it's really modern and cool.

It is a very beautiful hotel with elegant and original decor. However, the area behind the hotel is not ideal: there are a few shady people, especially compared to the Gothic Quarter, which is very safe and clean.

Despite this, the hotel itself is stunning: the staff is friendly, and the rooftop view is lovely. I didn’t book a room and went there only to eat, but from an outside perspective, the hotel certainly deserves its 4-star rating.

We had the pleasure of staying at *Barceló Raval* during my partner’s birthday, and everything was simply perfect. The hotel staff went above and beyond to make the celebration special — from the thoughtful surprises to the warm service, we truly felt welcomed.

The room was spotless, the bed incredibly comfortable, and the pillows extra cosy — a real treat after exploring vibrant Barcelona. The rooftop views were stunning, and the atmosphere of the hotel strikes the perfect balance between modern, stylish, and relaxed.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a central, elegant, and memorable stay in Barcelona!

I had an amazing experience. Not only were the drinks perfectly made, but the service was outstanding from start to finish. They was friendly, attentive, and clearly passionate about the craft. Every cocktail was balanced and beautifully presented. It’s rare to find someone who combines skill, speed, and genuine hospitality so well. Definitely one of the best bartenders I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. highly recommend!❣️
