Reviews
The rooms are very small, the bed occupied almost the majority of the room. No tv, only one bedside table in a double room and an air conditioner that heat up the room well but it looked like it hardly had any maintenance ever. The rooms are not soundproof at all, you will be woken up at night from noise coming from the other guests. Also, the sheets and the room in general was not all clean.
Regarding the state of the bathroom, upon arriving we saw that there was no shampoo whatsoever and the "staff" supplied -with great care- the room with 1 and half toilet paper. It is obvious that they did not bother wasting the left over toilet paper from the previous guests.
Now, the "highlight" of our stay was an unpleasant surprise they had in store for us. When we used the towels of the room we observed black and BROWN stains on them. We took them down to the reception where a woman and her colleague showed a complete lack of interest and professionalism. I told them that the cleaniness of the towels is very important for hygienic reasons and for a price of 100 eyros per night this is not at all acceptable. Her unbothered reply was "just leave a review on booking so my manager can see this".
To summarize, it was a total rip off for the price and the hotel conditions and mainly the behavior of the staff was abominable and repulsive. Needless to say, i do not recommend it.
If you don’t have standards or other options, it’s not that bad, I guess…
It's also possible to walk to Plaza Catalunya via the main street.
The rooms are clean and serviced daily. There's also a convenient bathtub. However, there's no refrigerator, so it's difficult to buy fruit or prosciutto at the market or supermarket.
The price you pay at this hotel is very high, not worth what you get. It's best to check out several hotels located on the same street, which are very close by; they offer much lower prices with much better room conditions.
The only way to get to your room in by only one old slow elevator that clients and staff all use.
The room’s window opens towards the inside of the hotel with no view or ventilation which makes you hear everything and everyone in their rooms and you get no view whatsoever.
There are only 2 lights by the bed so the rest of the room is dark, the bathroom was clean and spacious with bidet, shower and good lights.
The so called breakfast was horrible, only 2 type of cheese, ham, clod boiled eggs, 2 type of bread travel sized butter and jam.
They keep your room key if you leave the hotel which is extremely weird but we were okay with that because it took away the burden of loosing them.
Location is good and near the center
The reception man and lady were extremely friendly and professional.
