The area is residential, which comes with a few drawbacks: there aren't many shops or cafes around. The beach is a bit far, about a 15-20 minute walk if you take your time (it's hard to rush in the heat). On the plus side, the walk to the beach is entirely shaded. It's a safe neighborhood, being a residential area with upscale housing. The metro is close by, making it convenient to visit attractions – you just need to familiarize yourself with the system. Taxis are also plentiful and can be easily hailed from the street.
Overall, I have no complaints about the hotel itself, though the location isn't ideal. However, closer to the beach, hotels are naturally more expensive.
