The Historic Setting of this hotel, situated in the heart of Santiago de Compostela's historic center, it is within walking distance of the Cathedral and other attractions. A former monk's refectory, for banquets and meals, serves us excellent breakfast and dinner! The best! Great parking lot for free. I highly recommend this hotel !

The hotel still functions as a spiritual house with 8 friars still living onsite. It is a gentle spacious. Grand hotel and our room was both spacious and elegant. We looked out over a beautiful vista of rolling hills and countryside. A beautiful breeze from four French windows made it extra beautiful and bright. The combination of modern architecture supporting a convent originally built in the 11th century with a cathedral attached make it a unique place to simply be let alone have the privilege of staying. The most creepy hotel I ever stay in also the coolest hotel with so much to explore. It used to be an eighteenth-century convent. There still a lot of history in the hotel. The check in was quick and they inform us the two elevator go to two different flood. There a between floor, and where the breakfast is at. I also love that because of my disability, they actually have a really good shower chair in our room. If you have a chance to stay here, do it, do be scared of potential paranormal in this hotel. The pool is big and there is a hot tub. The breakfast is very delicious and the room is a but unsettling with a big Jesse statue watching you eat. The room we had was sufficient and since we finished Walk the Camino de Santiago, they lost a bottle of wine in our room. I would stay here again as there was so more of the hotel I do not see.

After completing the Camino, six of us stayed at the Convento de San Francisco do Val de Deus, and it was the ideal place to unwind. This historic convent has been beautifully transformed into a hotel, seamlessly blending its rich history with modern comforts. The architecture is just stunning, and its location is just a short stroll from the cathedral, making it incredibly convenient.
The indoor pool and jacuzzi were a delightful treat for our tired legs after the Camino. Having three twin rooms in our own section of the corridor provided a sense of privacy and comfort. The rooms were spacious, equipped with safes, and the beds were exceptionally comfortable.
Breakfast offered a wide variety of hot and cold options, ensuring a satisfying start to the day. The peaceful ambience of the hotel provided a serene atmosphere to reflect on our journey. Staying here offered a unique glimpse into the city's spiritual and cultural heritage, making it a memorable part of our Camino experience.

Experience being a nun in a monastery. A unique experience in a very quiet and unique accommodation. I loved it 😀
