Levon Boutique Hotel in Ella

From the moment we arrived it was superb. Dilshan and Raj greeted us warmly and welcomed us to our rooms which have a spectacular view of the rail track and Ella Rock . Immaculately clean rooms with tea and coffee and toiletries and each has a large terrace overlooking the mountains. Dilshan and Raj cooked us a wonderful traditional Sri Lankon breakfast which was utterly delicious . Anything we wanted was offered it was as if we had our private butlers , bringing us Ice for our wine and lots of bananas grown locally . I would highly recommend a stay here although about 3 km outside Ella it was super peaceful and Tuk Tuks are readily available and inexpensive to cover your every trip Thanks Dilshan and Raj we will be back ❤️

The hotel has just been renovated and is in a magnificent location above the railway, very close to Kitha Ella train station. The owner, Dave, is very kind and welcoming and makes the experience even more beautiful. highly recommended! He also offered us the first dinner because of our recent engagement 💍😍

This is a super little hotel in a romantic location. The host is professional and accommodating and has provided us the best bed we had on our trip. Don't be put off by being a short distance from town because you don't need to go there for long either by Tuk Tuk or better still walk along the train line. Such a great experience.

David was so welcoming with a lovely afternoon tea on the upper deck overlooking the most amazing view. The room facilities are high quality and we were served a lovely Sri Lankan breakfast on our return from Ella Rock… the trail starts at the train station just below the hotel. A great option for dinner is a two minute walk down the rail line. Thanks for making it a wonderful stay…will be back for longer next time.

Recently renovated boutique hotel where the new owner welcomes you with open arms. He made sure we got off the right station / place, served delicious tea with biscuits upon arrival and arranged a late night dinner for us at the River Face restaurant at short walking distance from the hotel. A delicious local breakfast was served in the morning. If you’re looking for a small scale hotel in the Ella hill side, away from the more busy centre, this is the perfect g option!

Best view. You can take a look directly to the train, mountains and forest from the balcony. And there was the best hotel manager. He stood up at 4:30 to make breakfast for us. We had a very pleasant stay. It is close to the Train Station. We can totally recommend it.

Dave provided an amazing experience at the Levon Hotel. He took care of us from start to finish. The breakfast in the morning was an amazing spread of traditional Sri Lankan tastes. The room was comfortable, the views were beautiful and the location outside of Ella was fabulous.

A beautiful haven in Ella. We loved this hotel, so special, intimate, with a beautiful terrace and extremely peaceful immersed in nature. Breakfast was incredible, thank you for your kindness and hospitality David! We stayed here for one night our honeymoon tour of Sri Lanka and it was a highlight!

We had just the perfect stay! Hotel is newly renovated, very comfortable and very clean. The stuff takes care of every detail. The bed was one of the most comfy we have ever slept on. The area is local, quiet and very green. Breakfasts were yummy, Sri Lankan style. And the owner was so friendly! Do not hestitate and book a stay there! :) We felt so good there that we decided to stay longer! Greetings for all the hotel crew!

We booked the newly renovated Levon Hotel for 2 nights, but extended to 3 nights due to the fantastic location and very friendly welcome and service from the owner David and his amazing local staff. The location is breathtaking, overlooking Ella Rock and is conveniently situated only 3 mins walk from Kithalella railway station, so very ideal if arriving/departing Ella by train. Away from the relative chaos of Ella town centre, the hotel is still only 10mins (4 US Dollars) by readily available tuk tuk/taxi. The rooms are spacious with either a balcony or garden view and all overlooking the valley, plantations & forest. The rooms are very comfortable and come fully equipped with high quality bed linens and tea/coffee making facilities. Internet connection is excellent and could be used for remote working, if needed. Breakfast is a must, due to the high quality of the service and local menu and the incredible views from the covered restaurant terrace. Highly recommended when visiting Ella and the surrounding area!

Levon hotel is a little oasis that delivers stunning scenery and complete tranquility. It is perfectly located for short trips to all tourist attractions. Food was outstanding, we chose the Sri Lankan breakfast. It was delicious. Room was comfortable and beautifully presented. Most notable of all was the fantastic service , attention to detail and hospitality of the owner Dave and his team . Can’t fault them. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely go again
