We had a booking for a group of 9 guests on half board basis at the Araliya Red Hotel Nuwera Eliya in early July '25, but unfortunately some of us fell sick in Colombo and we couldn't go to Nuwera Eliya on that date and had to cancel our booking at the last minute. When our travel agent contacted the Araliya Red Hotel management and explained the reason why we had to cancel at the last minute, they gave our request compassionate consideration and refunded the entire reservation amount which was quite a large sum of money and we highly appreciate their magnanimous gesture and unreservedly recommend them for their compassionate and understanding attitude towards their guests. Host so very helpful in helping us with trips saving us a substantial amount of money. Not just that but the routes we walked were so scenic. The rooms were spacious with personal areas outside with relaxation chairs & a table & chairs. This is where breakfast is served by great staff. Very attentive & helpful but not intrusive. Perfect location in Ella for everything. I would highly recommend. Thank you for your sincere hospitality

Very nice hotel in pleasant grounds. The staff we're very attentive, the room was clean (the bathroom is little old fashioned) and the breakfast was really good. The owner was helpful in advising us where we could walk to without taking a tut-tut.

Fantastic location close to all the nice restaurants and bars in the centre and at a walking distance to the hikes of Little Adam’s Peak, Ella’s Rock and the nine arches bridge - the train station is also only 15 minutes away. The hosts were very nice and accommodating, they offered to make us breakfast at 5:30am on our last day as we had to catch the early train to Kandy, which was very kind of them. Breakfasts were very nice, every day a different one mainly Sri Lankan, lovely coconut roti and dhal, they were served in the balcony of our room which was suuuper nice. Laundry service was great and they also offered a taxi service. The room was nothing fancy but very clean and even had hot water in the shower, also the big balcony was special. You can’t really ask for more for that price and location, thank you 🙏

It was really nice. The room were clean, there was a space for social activities and the host was very nice. Breakefasts were delicious and we even got a ride to the train station. There is also very nice restaurant just around the corner.
