Top Hotel in Ella

Been to Ella and the surrounding areas countless times but let me tell you, my stay at Tip Top was truly the best out of them all. The staff are amazing and will make sure you are well taken care of. When we first arrived, we were near the Pool/Lobby area and the view from here is panoramic. You literally see the Ella scenic train going on its way just below the hotel and u can literally see the train track extending over the mountains until the train disappears. The mist and the mountains and the clear blue sky adds to it, and I truly loved this part of our stay.

The rooms are organized beautifully with light blue/turquoise accents which is really calming and soothes you. The view from the verandah of the room is also amazing. The washrooms are large and spacious, clean and has all the necessary amenities.

The pool is great too. We spent alot of time there.

The food is exceptional as well with an extensive menu and literally everything we tried was GREAT!! We got their Pasta, the Kottu (Cheese and the chicken one as well) and Fried rice. The breakfast options are also great and you get a very nice breakfast with a beautiful view.

I would recommend this beautiful place to anyone🙏♥️ They even helped us find transportation next day to go for a day out in Haputale. Definitely visiting again.

It’s a fabulous hotel, off the beaten track but the food and service are wonderful. Amazing views of the valley, so tranquil. Food was some of the best we’ve had. Need a tuk tuk to get to town but it’s so busy you can’t wait to get back.
Only down side was we didn’t get in the pool as it looked a little cloudy, but we hadn’t really time for pool stuff with so many places to go and see. Staff so helpful and polite

Even though there was a small mix-up with the service on the first day—which can happen—he was very attentive and kept apologizing, even though it wasn’t his fault.
We would be glad to have such a waiter back home in Europe as well.

The best place I've been in Sri Lanka!
It's so beautiful! Feels very luxury. They could charge more for the foods but they kept it same as the downtown, so we were happy to order anything we liked.

I only wish they had warm water at the pool. It's always very cold.

I'll definitely visit them if I'm back to Ella.

The best views of the land and 9 arch bridge with the train from the bedroom as well as the pool side. Floor to ceiling windows mean you get the most amazing views in bed!

The staff are excellent - helpful, kind and go out of their way to help (tuk tuk into town, room service dinner, surprised us with a room setup for our celebration). Thank you to the team from room 108!

The rooms are clean, spacious, comfy. Very happy here.

It is a tuk tuk away from town (10 mins away), but it’s much nicer than being on the main restaurant road if you want something a little more calm and relaxed.
