Marina Beach Passikudah in Pasikuda

We rented a couch (banana boat) to get dragged by a speedboat. The person renting was so very rude.

When we asked how long was it going to take, he said "No time, enjoy!". He than took us for a trip round the beach, which lasted exactly 4 minutes on the watch.

I asked why that short, and he then acted like a true scammer/con artist. Practically laughed at my face and said "I told you: No time".

Eventually he said he banned us from his shop, as if we were to come back.

I wasn't even going to write the review, but I decided to do so, so that others be aware of the scheme.

Avoid them. There are plenty others to chose from!

L.E. I have just realised, and have to correct: There are no other places to rent skijets/SUPs etc. in the area. Which is a bit strange.

But I guess this is how their audacity is explained. And the nerve that comed with the response below.

Never the conditions of the ride are explained, not even when asked about it. And surely this is done purposefully. Because it would have been easy for the employee to explain thay it roughly takes 4 to 8 mins or so. Which may be deterrent for some, so why not hide it, right?

Oh, and the nerve to invite us to go looking for services elsewhere, knowing they have monopoly in the area beats everything! But I guess it's a price captive tourists have to pay when facing monopoly situations.

Funny, if it weren't sad...

This Hotel was the worst we stayed at our whole Sri Lankan trip! The only good thing is the beach and that you get free beach towels. The food was not like as the description or the photos. There are also no umbrellas at the pool. The hotel is totally overpriced for what you get!
They even charge you a lot of money for water at the end, what they don’t tell you. We had to pay in cash but they do not have exchange money.
The most of the staff can’t speak English properly.
But the worse is that there are animals under the roof which were so loud we couldn’t sleep most of the night.

Recently I had a stay in Marino beach pasikuda with my wife in HB basis. Staffs were friendly. The beach is good with not much crowd and disturbances. The pool is also good. Others than that there were nothing say anything good.
1.They have already decided by themselves that locals don't order western menu. So purposefully we have been told that they only have seafood fried rice for dinner.
2.Meals are not good not worth for the pay.
3.There are no intercom in side the room.
4.They took extra charges for water bottles(cheap quality) which were kept inside the room and also at the dinner, breakfast table.
5. They were no sugar packets and we were not provided despite requesting for several times.
Overall i would say it was a worst experience and really disappointed.

Look, the hotel itself is good. The rooms are nice and the walk to the beach is short.
Some staff are very helpful, but sometimes it feels very pushy and awkward. For example, they watched us intensly letting breakfast at the buffet, which is the same every day.
The owner made sure to make the stay very pleasant and did a lot, which i appreciate, but he very much overdid it. He called me even when I left to make sure I gave a review, so here it is.
One guy at the reception asked me for my number, which was unprofessional and made me really uncomfortable?!
Anyways, do what you want with that.
There is not much to do around the hotel but you can do jetski, snorkeling, diving etc.
