Two hours waiting for dinner. Two hours. But you go to the bar and there's four or five people standing doing nothing. They weren't busy. Not even an apology. When I have ordered beer I had to come back to the bar to remind them, they forget. Some people simply left, tired of waiting. They didn't know what I had ordered when I had to pay. Only for a beer (and remind them).

No way is this a 3 star hotel. Deluxe room is not deluxe in anyway - small, noisy air con that can’t be adjusted so it’s freezing or really hot if you turn it off. Terrible nights sleep and breakfast was poor. Only thing going for it is the location as it’s right on the beach. Description on booking sites is very misleading. Booked 5 night but only stayed 2 as we moved hotels for the other 3. Only good thing to say was the man in charge of housekeeping was lovely and really tried his best to give great service unlike the other staff.

90-minute wait for food, which arrived in dribs and drabs, and then almost all if it was utterly inedible when it finally did arrive. The only really bad experience we’ve had in wonderful Sri Lanka - but boy was it bad! The kitchen seemed utterly unable to cope and there was never a hint of an apology. Avoid!

I hope this review reaches the manager of the place. This morning we came to you and we took 2 cokes paid with card, and until then everything was perfect, beautiful structure and good waiters. Then we sit at the tables to order and a big gentleman comes, the biggest of the staff and we order things to drink and things to eat (including a pasta aglio e olio that I specified I wanted without cheese because I'm allergic). After exactly an hour we start to get nervous about the wait and we go to ask for at least the drinks that are immediately brought to us by the guys. Then after 1 hour and 15 my boyfriend's food arrives and after another 30 minutes my plate of pasta with cream or similar inside, I ask the adult gentleman from whom we had ordered if there was cheese or milk reiterating that I'm allergic, who assures me there was no. Having understood the character I ask the chef who tells me that there is a milk cream in my dish at the risk of killing someone bah. But the story is not over, because we always ask for the bill from the same adult gentleman and he tells us that we cannot pay by card but in the morning we had paid by card and we did not have cash, we explain it to him and he replies let's see what we can do. after another 30 minutes of waiting for the POS he arrives, he types a price for me to pay I put the card down and only then does he tell us that he had only made us pay a part of the bill because we should have paid the other part in cash and why?? I don't know, maybe he wanted to take them? so I start to get angry and tell him that I do not have cash, he asks me to go and withdraw, I repeat that I want to pay by card he decides and makes us pay the remaining part of the bill by card. ABSURD THAT IN A PLACE LIKE THIS THEY LET THESE PEOPLE WORK
