Amaranthe Bay Resort & Spa

Facilities, rooms and staff were great. May be due to limited guests no buffets. Food was good, but very limited variations.
They arrange kayak boat rides in the bay. Initial price they said was high per boat with a guide. But they gave us two boats and two guides for a reasonable price. Bay round took around 1.5 to 2 hrs.

Really nice views, good and clean rooms, staff are friendly and helpful. Food is average, you may want to eat out. Power went out in our room a few times, but it seemed to be an isolated incident so take that as you will. You can go canoeing, whale-watching (after restrictions lift) and biking.

A good stay, but few areas to improve. Buffet menu might need an upgrade, with a further insight into the taste of some items..

Very good service, friendly staff, good portion sizes on set menus. Rooms were decent, spacious and the jacuzzi was definitely the highlight.

With a bit of a facelift in reception area, gardens etc, could attract more guests I believe.

Nice hotel with very beautiful grounds and rooms. But there is no beach access, and is a significant disadvantage.

The hotel is very modern, service is excellent, everything is done very fast and professionally. Cleaning have time for Breakfast. All have radios, all issues are resolved by any employee. The room is excellent, large Jacuzzi, "smart home". The Internet works in the rooms and near the pool. To the beach carry on boat for free at 10.30, 13.30, 15.30 and 17.00 back in. Loved the zoo, especially turkeys, which ironically muttered in response to similar sounds or clucking of the hen. Excellent Breakfast, lots of fruit, cheeses and different stuff. Natural juices are delicious. Dinner is a work of art, all meals prepared and served expertly. The dinner menu, but a choice. Huge portions of seafood in the main dish, a very interesting salads and desserts, hot cross buns to the soup.
Did not like waiter's attempts to impose a cash bar. When we refused the wine, he tried to sell bottled water, although in the glass it is given for free. At our request, prepared the fish we bought and gave to her for a fortune seafood rice, which was free at dinner (took half Board). The check came to about 5,000, although the deal was worth about 1000 rupees.
Boat ride to Pigeon island 25$ no of tickets (RS 5,000). And somewhere to go on the mini bus. In the end we went by car to the beach of Nilaveli, where I went last time with the Pigeon Island Boat Service next to the hotel Nilaveli Beach Hotel for 7500 rupees.

Picturesque property with panoramic Windows, well-equipped and maintained, the equipment in the rooms is excellent from air conditioning to plumbing all new and branded, multi-touch controls for lights and equipment, the ceiling height of about five meters, a Jacuzzi in the room, free Shuttle service to the beach, deals on honeymoon, balanced and varied meals, free wi fi throughout the hotel, safe to say - this is the best hotel on the coast!

Very cool, very expensive

Very beautiful, peaceful place for complete relaxation and an unforgettable honeymoon. Very polite staff. A lot of interesting suggestions!
