Amethyst Resort Passikudah in Pasikuda

Views were stunning, the rooms beautifully designed, and the service was okay. The food was top tier. Highly recommended for a peaceful and upscale seaside getaway!

Seventeen of us travelling with Flamingo Lanka stayed at Amethyst Resort on 24th and 25th October 2025. Right in front of our room was the Pasikuda beach of white sand and turquoise blue waters of the ocean. On arrival, we were offered a tasty welcome drink. Baggage was delivered to our rooms and kept on the long-raised bench. The airconditioned bedroom, that included a fridge and a tv, was spacious and well furnished. The king-size bed had been made up with clean, fresh white sheets and large white pillows. Outside the room on the seaside, was a veranda equipped with a bench, a comfortable chair and a centre table. The bathroom too was spacious with clean and white fittings along with standard supplies of soap, conditioner etc. and a clothes rack. The shower provided hot and cold water. There was a well-equipped bar adjacent to the reception and the common lounge area. The dining area was large and spacious. The staff were exceptionally caring, professional, and helpful and attended to our smallest need. Our thanks also go to Thivanka who went out of his way to make sure we were well served, comfortable and contented. Thank you to all at Amethyst for our memorable stay.

We arrived at Amethyst Resort, Pasikuda, earlier than the check-in time, but the front desk staff warmly welcomed us and arranged for us to enjoy the pool and beach until our room was ready – such a thoughtful start to our stay. A special mention goes to Samantha Weerasooriya, who looks after the restaurant. He made us feel right at home, showed the crocodiles to our kids (a big highlight for them!), and, when I had a bad headache one evening, went the extra mile to help me. Thank you to the entire team for the warm hospitality and to Samantha for his exceptional care. Highly recommended!

We had a very nice stay. The rooms were spacious and fantastic with a sea view. Very nice terrace where you could get some rest. The beach and the sea were great aswell. The best thing about the hotel, however, was the staff. Absolutely everyone was nice and helpful from the gardener, the pool guy, the bartender, the maid, the waiter, the laundry guy and the reception. We were amazed at how welcoming and helpful they were. It would have been a five grade if the bar and the restaurant had been a little nicer decorated. It was large areas without any screens, not so cozy to hang around in. We would definitely come back!

Excellent setting , rooms and facilities great , food good and the staff are very welcoming and friendly, we were spoilt and had a special table outside by the river for dinner, such a lovely relaxing time after our whirlwind tour which had been amazing, special thanks to Shashintha , Thatinda , Jayanara and Thiwanka and a very big thank you to Prasantha our guide for the tour

Excellent resort, very friendly staff, food is superb,.. Sasintha and Umesh at the Taporabine restaurant were exceptional. They made us welcome. Overwhelming hospitality. Lovely place. Must visit, great beach with natural beauty and beautiful birds. William at the reception was so welcoming. Home away from home

Our stay at the beach hotel was truly unforgettable. The staff were friendly and accommodating, and made us feel right at home.
The room was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. We had a stunning sea view, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The beach is best in Sri Lanka.
One of the unique features of the hotel is the pond with crocodiles on the property. It was fascinating to see these incredible creatures up close, and added an interesting element to our stay.
Overall, I highly recommend staying at the beach hotel.
