A wonderful stay at Sunrise Pasikuda We had a fantastic time at this hotel and honestly enjoyed everything about it. The staff are incredibly attentive and kind — you can tell they genuinely care about their guests. The food is delicious, with plenty of variety, and one afternoon I ordered from the in-room dining menu — the service was excellent and the food arrived hot and tasty. Security at the hotel is well organized, and there's a tourist police post nearby, which gave us extra peace of mind. The rooms are cleaned twice a day, and even on the days I forgot to leave a tip, the quality of housekeeping was just as impeccable. A special mention goes to Thusiyantha — he did a wonderful job cleaning our room and made beautiful towel figures that always brightened our day. The atmosphere is quiet, calm and truly relaxing — exactly what you want from a beach holiday. The gym is there if you need it, though it was almost always empty during our stay (which suited me just fine!). Prices for everything on the property are very reasonable. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-run hotel with warm hospitality. We'll definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay. It is located on a very beautiful and quiet beach where you can easily enter the sea. The staff was fantastic; they are very friendly and help with everything you can think of. The restaurant also had a very good and varied menu. Breakfast was excellent and had very generous portions. The room was very clean and the beds were wonderful. Truly a huge recommendation if you are going to Pasikuda!

We had a very comfortable and enjoyable two days. The food and drinks were excellent. The friendly and efficient staff were dedicated to meeting our needs quickly. The location is top notch for a beach getaway. The atmosphere is very peaceful as you awake to the sounds of the birds and waves crashing ashore. The room is spacious and bright with a lovely shower and outdoor terrace to spend early morning and late evenings. Value for money can’t be beaten either. Housekeeping was superb as the daily room clean was done efficiently and to the highest standard. Overall service was excellent as all staff were very friendly and happy to have a chat. Buddhika in the spa was superb and very professional and talked me through my treatments and conducted them with great care. With more investment in some better equipment he will be able to provide even better services for future guests.

I recommend this hotel for a relaxing and enjoyable getaway away from the hustle and bustle. The beach is uncrowded, with clean sand and sea. The hotel staff was always eager to please, ensuring we had a pleasant stay. We felt comfortable and cozy. The rooms were spotless, the cleaning was excellent, and they provided delicious shower gels, tea, and coffee in the room. The beds were made in a unique way. We had breakfast and dinner, and we didn't regret it. Breakfast was buffet-style with juices, fruit, fresh pastries, and national dishes, while dinner was a la carte, restaurant-style. The team and chef did their best to please, and the presentation was beautiful, but water and drinks are an extra charge. For lunch, they grilled lobster, shrimp, and fish on the beach for an extra fee. It was very good with local beer. There's a good gym and an outdoor pool. We were so pleased that we decided to pay extra at reception and stay a second night.

I liked the hotel. The balcony is very comfortable and welcoming – a table, chairs, and a sofa.
The sea is stunning! The beach is clean, the water is turquoise.

The food was à la carte. Delicious! I liked that the chef interacts with each guest. The menu is more European (onion soup (good!), pumpkin soup, pork with sweet potato puree), but Sri Lankan cuisine is always present in the main course! Shrimp was always on the menu.
For Sri Lanka, the hotel is good. It has its own atmosphere and ambiance, which is what we come to this country for.
This isn't a European 5-star hotel. Sri Lankan – yes!

The restaurant staff is sometimes overly attentive. Since the hotel wasn't very busy, there was too much attention.

Excellent hotel. Stylish, clean, and well-equipped room. Everything you need is included: a refrigerator, tea, coffee, a kettle, and a hairdryer. Daily cleaning service, regular change of towels and bed linen. Special thanks to the guys who cleaned our room, Jerom and Kajanthiran, for their excellent service.
The hotel has beautiful grounds with a gorgeous pool. There's a gym, a games area, and a bar. The beach is excellent and clean. It's cleaned daily. Comfortable sun loungers with soft mattresses and beach towels are always available. The staff on the beach and at the beach bar are friendly.
Breakfast is extensive, offering a variety of dishes for every taste. National and European cuisine is available. A huge selection of pastries, including waffles made to order. Fresh seasonal fruit is always available.
Dinner is also varied, with both basic dishes and daily specials. These include grilled seafood, pork, and deep-fried squid. Various national dishes, such as rotti or kottu, are also available. Special thanks to the waiters Sudesh and Kalum; they were very attentive and friendly. At dinner, water is included, with other drinks available from the menu (as in all other hotels).
The hotel strives to add variety to each dinner by inviting different entertainers to create a cozy atmosphere.
I definitely recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay. We'll definitely choose it again!
